Liz blushed slightly. James smiled at her and said,
" Don't think I am going to go easy on you." Liz gave a cheeky smile and said,
" You better not." After that they both grabbed an arrow.
" Ladies first," James said stepping out of Liz's way. Liz smiled then took her arm. She slowed her breathing down, took a breath, then let it go along with her arrow. Dead center.
" Your turn now," Liz said smiling with confidence. James stepped up and took his aim. It hit dead center splitting Liz's arrow. James smiled.
" Do you yield?" James asked.
" Oh no," Liz said. So she walked up and took her aim. It hit dead center splitting James arrow. Liz turned and smiled at him.
" Do you yield," Liz said.
" No," he said smiling. The shooting went back and forth until Mary, Jane, and Elizabeth decided that it was a tie.
" That was the best shooting competition I have ever seen," said Mary
" I agree," said Jane and Elizabeth at the same time.
" Well we have to go," said Jane, " It was nice meeting you Liz."
" Your too," Liz said while bowing to them.
There was a few minutes of silence between Liz and James while they were sitting on a bench until James finally said,
" Hey there is a Ball tomorrow, here is an invitation if you want to come."
" Oh thank you. I would be delighted to come," Liz said smiling.
" Okay good. So see you tomorrow. I have to go and practice my sword fighting skills," James said smiling back at her.
" Okay," Liz said starting to stand up, but James grabbed her hand and helped her the rest of the way up.
" Thank you," Liz said blushing very badly.
" Your welcome," James said. Then he left.
Liz left the archery range then headed back to the castle for she was very hungry. When she got to the castle she found an apple and began to eat it.
" May I join you," said a voice from behind her. Liz turned to see Prince Nicholas walking toward her.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
" Oh sure if you would like," Liz said. Nicholas walking up and sit beside her and said,
" You look hot."
" Yeah I had a shoot off against your cousin, James," said Liz.
" Oh really. Who won?" He asked.
" No one it was a tie," Liz said smiling.
" Well that's new. No one has ever tied or bet James before," Nicholas said smiling back to her, " Good job."
" Thank you," she said.
" Anyway, I came here to ask you if you wanted to come to the Ball tomorrow night," Nicholas said holding out an invitation.
" Yeah I will go, but I will let you know now that James invited me as well," Liz said laughing softly.
" Oh well here take the invitation anyway," he said laughing as well.
" Okay," Liz said taking the invitation and starting to stand up, but Nicholas as well grabbed her hand and helped her the rest of the way up. She smiled. He smiled and bowed. She bowed back.
After Liz finished her apple she decided she would go to her room and cool off. She walked into the castle and saw Prince Richard waving at her. Liz waved backed. He walked over to her and said,
" Hello."
" Hello," she said.
" How is your day so far?" Richard asked.
" Good and your?" Liz asked.
" Okay but it could be better," he said slightly frowning.
" Oh," Liz said. They continued to talk until they reached Liz's room.
" Well you look tried, so I will let you go, but first I wanted to know if you would come to the Ball tomorrow," he said smiling.
" Yes I will, but Nicholas and James gave me invitations so I don't think I will need one," Liz said smiling back.
" Oh but mine is a special one you will need it," he said laughing quietly
" Okay," Liz said laughing as well.
" Oh an by the way, that blue dress makes you look very beautiful," Richard said blushing then turned and ran off. Liz was blushing as well and very badly. No one had ever complimented her like that before. When she walked into her room, she laid down on her and fell asleep to the thought of 3 men just asked her to a Ball.
