For an impossibly long moment, no one in the throne room spoke a word. Neither the White Lilim sitting upon her new throne nor the three Mamono that stood before her. They simply stared each other down as the words spoken by the three in unison were given the time to sink in. For their meaning to become apparent to the Daughter Of The Demon Lord.
Then Druella waved a hand at the three of them "And it was the Goddesses themselves who told you to relay this message to me?"
"Indeed," the Banshee gave Druella a slight bow, "They informed us through our dreams the night before."
"And, pray tell, what exactly brought this on?" Druella leaned forward on her throne while staring at the three with an impassive expression, "What event could've occurred that would cause the deities of Love, War, and Death to all decide to give me this message? What could drive not one, but three Goddesses to order me to leave a single individual alone?"
The Apsara shook her head, "The fact that you describe the one you covet as simply a 'single individual' shows that you do not grasp how truly dire this situation is."
Druella raised an eyebrow, "That's a lengthy way of saying I'm being foolish."
"If that is how you wish to interpret my words, then you are free to do so," the Apsara spun on the spot, her dress flowing in an invisible breeze. Her eyes remained on Druella with an expression showing total indifference.
"Hmm. While I am not much for formalities, you three seem rather fine with being rude to a Lilim. Especially considering that last I checked, while the Goddesses were neutral they heavily favored Mamono. In fact, I believe I remember seeing quite a few new marriages made with Eros' blessing. And the number of dead lovers brought back to be with their husbands. And I'm certain that Ares did indeed bless us when we were taking Lescatie," Druella waved her hand through the air, "Has something changed since then?"
"Many things have changed. For the Goddesses have not only informed us of how they wish you to leave the Hunter be," the Banshee said as she folded her hands in front of her dress.
"Oh?"
All three Mamono looked at each other. They all nodded in unison then turned back to Druella.
"From this day forth, the Goddess of War has declared true neutrality. No more will Mamono be blessed to come out of their battles unscathed. If they attack humans intending to forcibly transform them, they will not receive her protection from injury," the Amazon beat her fists against her chest at the declaration.
"From this day forth, the Goddess of Love joins Ares in true neutrality. While she will still bless unions, they will only be those obtained from genuine pure love. Any brought about through corruption or force will be condemned by her," the Apsara clapped her hands together, the jingling of wind chimes echoing through the room.
"And from this day forth, the Goddess of Death joins Ares and Eros in true neutrality. The undead will still exist, but no more will they rise from their graves as soon as they are buried in the ground. They will be kept in the afterlife and will only be brought back should they wish it. Not even the tears of their lovers will call them back to life, lest those already dead wish it as well," the Banshee bowed her head.
"The Goddesses have spoken. And their word is law," the three Mamono spoke in unison, not a single one wavering as they made the declaration to the White Lilim.
Druella's eyes widened slightly. She stood up from her throne and stared at the three Mamono with surprise, "This is...unexpected. The three of them do realize what this means. That husbands will go without their wives? The Demons will have to preside over marriages more than they already do? And that many, not simply Mamono, will suffer severe harm in the process of merely trying to find a loving husband? Can the Goddesses really say they will sit back and allow this to happen?"
Druella's confusion only grew as she saw that her words had little effect on the three messengers. The Banshee looked the Lilim in the eyes and spoke to her without hesitation, "Druella, you are aware of the existence of a male Ochimusha, correct?"
"Of course," a frown very briefly came over Druella's face. That entire endeavor did not go how she expected it to. Silvia choosing not to listen to her was one thing. It was true that Silvia wasn't one of her subjects. Simply a visitor that Druella had asked a favor of. While rude, it wasn't the vampire's prerogative to follow through on giving Koga the concoction. While disappointed in the vampire, she couldn't bring herself to feel strongly about the vampire's actions. Besides, she would be returning to be with her husband-to-be soon. Why would want to get in the way of that?
What she didn't anticipate was Akuri refusing to be with Koga. Even now she could hardly make sense of that. The Kunoichii had to have known that giving Koga the potion, then taking it herself would've been a surefire way to make him her husband. Just one gulp would've been enough to send him into a frenzy, then he'd pounce her the second she drank some of it. Her very nature as a Mamono would've told her such.
Yet she rejected it. Druella couldn't understand how or why she did, but she did it either way. She hadn't paid much attention to those two after that. Not because they weren't on her mind, but simply because the events had made the Hunter that much more enticing to Druella. After all, she was the only constant here. A male monster being completely adverse to becoming a Mamono's husband, and now a Mamono denying her very nature and refusing to make him her husband. The only thing they had in common was that they both encounter that strange woman.
And now these three were here for the exact same reason.
Druella stared the three Mamono down, "However, I do not see how he has anything to do with our current conversation?"
"Then perhaps you should take a moment to scry on him. Everything will become clear then," the Banshee bowed to the White Lilim. Druella, curiosity growing with each passing second, waved one hand through the empty air at her right. The Mamono Mana in the air easily formed around her fingers as she drew circles through the air. The Mana became smoke beneath her fingers, forming a purple spiral that grew and grew until it was the size of Druella's torso. Then she gently pulled her hand away while the magic turned quickly turned from smoke into fog-filled glass.
With a thought, Druella bade it show her Koga's current position. The foggy glass roiled for a moment before clearing to reveal the mining village that Koga had arrived at. Druella stared intently at the mirror, mentally commanding it to zoom in on Koga's current position. The mirror obeyed her commands and revealed to her a sight that nearly made her jump in shock.
That sight was Koga decapitating Anache, the Amazon Chieftess she had given her blessing to for a Man Hunt. Crimson blood arced from her severed neck as her body fell to the ground like a puppet with its strings cut. She felt sick as the Ochimusha stepped over the corpse without a care in the world, letting the head hit the ground and reveal Anache's final, stunned expression.
"That," the Amazon's clipped tone got Druella's attention, "should be enough to show that our Goddesses are serious."
"You...they...how can they be fine with this?" Druella started to raise her voice, disgust, and surprise clear in her tone. She waved a hand at the mirror, refusing to look at the carnage herself, "How can they let this happen? How could you be fine with it? This. This is exactly what my mother is trying to stop. Yet your Gods are letting it happen right in front of their eyes."
"Do not misunderstand," the Apsara interjected, "the Goddesses have not abandoned the Mamono. They simply will not be giving them special treatment. They will be treated the same as any human would in terms of judgment."
"In that case," the Amazon waved a hand towards the mirror, "the Amazons were forcing themselves onto a village of humans. They attacked the humans, started raping the men, and forcibly transformed the women. They were only stopped when another human, blessed by Ares herself, stood up to them."
Druella shook her head in disbelief, "Ares...she created a Hero to fight her own worshipers?"
The Amazon nodded. Her expression becomes a grimace as she speaks, "Yes. While I feel the pain of losing those sisters, I will leave my grieving for when this task is done."
"And when you do, know that Hel will take their souls into her hands. And should they wish to be reborn, they will come back to you," the Banshee placed a hand on the Amazon's shoulder.
"This...this is...what happened?" Druella narrowed her eyes at the three, dismissing the mirror and stepping closer to them. She stopped when she was halfway to their position, tail trailing behind her and body rigid as she moved, "What changed the Goddesses' minds? What could've possibly made them decide that this was the right thing to do? What could make them think that letting Mamono die was a good thing?"
"You should know what happened by now," the Amazon was unamused by Druella's actions, "There is only one thing in this world that has changed. One thing that is still sending ripples through the world even now. One thing that has completely occupied your mind as of late."
It didn't even take a second for Druella to realize who the Mamono was talking about. Her indignation was slowly replaced with shock as her mind connected the dots. Her voice was full of disbelief as she spoke, "The Hunter. She did this. She...she made the Gods change their minds. A human-"
"She is no human," the Banshee interrupted the White Lilim. She stepped forward until she stood next to the Amazon's left, "She is far more than that. She is a being far beyond anything you have seen before."
The Apsara moved to stand next to the Amazon's right, "But she is not one for war and conflict. She has a family. She has a home. She has ones she cares for. That is all she wishes for. All she wants is to live her life with those she cares for. No more. No less."
"But she is aware of you," the Amazon stood tall in the face of the Lilim, "and she knows that you have designs on her and her home. Thus the reason she is coming here. To Lescatie. So that she can speak with you and convince you to back down. To not force her hand. To end this peacefully."
"Thus this task was decreed to us," the three Mamono all spoke in unison, staring Druella down without a hint of fear, "And thus the Goddesses have spoken. Their words: Leave the Hunter alone. If not for your sake, then for the sake of this entire city and those who serve under you. For if you spurn the Hunter's goodwill, then know that everything that happens after will be on your head."
Then the three Mamono turned their backs on Druella and walked out of the throne room. The White Lilim was left standing there, speechless as her mind tried to process what she just heard. She was vaguely aware of the three Mamono all collapsing to their knees the second they were out of her presence, but it was the furthest thing from her mind. She stood in the middle of the throne room for a brief moment.
Then she straightened herself up while a sense of purpose filled her. She turned on her heel and called out to the empty room, "Lilinette. To me."
In a puff of purple and black smoke, a diminutive Imp appeared at Druella's side. Bright purple hair sat upon a childish face that smiled up at Druella with a spark in her pitch-black eyes. She spoke in a light, girlish tone, "Yes, Big Sister Druella~?"
"Is Castor back from his diplomatic mission yet?" Druella spoke curtly, walking over to one of the side doors to the throne room.
Lilinette rapidly nodded her head as she followed the Lilim, "Uh huh, uh huh! Him and his super cool Listener Fox just got back yesterday! The two lovebirds should be in their room right now making the sweetest love.~"
Druella frowned. That complicated matters. She didn't want to get in the way of those two's well-deserved love-making time. But, for once, this was more important than sex. She nodded then continued, "Understood. I'll go find him and talk to him myself. I need you to find Wilimarina, Elt, and Eva. Tell them to gather everyone else and meet with me. Then, go get the Shield Of Depravity."
Lilinette nodded her head with a bright smile on her face, "Right away, Big Sister.~ Bye bye!~"
She disappeared in another puff of smoke.
Once more Druella found herself moving through her castle with uncertainty in each of her steps. Some might say she was overreacting. This was just one regular woman after all.
But one "regular" woman couldn't make the Gods decide to change their stances on the Mamono overnight. One "regular" woman couldn't cause so much commotion that the Gods themselves decided to speak with her. No. Whoever this Hunter was, she was no ordinary woman.

And as much as Druella hated to admit it...the Goddesses were right.
If she went up against a woman like this, there would be nothing but pain and death waiting for her in the future. She had to end this.
...But, at the very least, she could satisfy some of her curiosity.
Because even if this Hunter was that dangerous, wouldn't it be wonderful if she could become a Mamono?
At the very least, Druella wanted to see what kind she would become.
To do that she would need to prepare. And for a woman like this? She would spare no expenses when welcoming her to Lescatie.
As Druella wandered through the halls of the Castle, she couldn't shake one certain thought off. A curiosity that kept repeating itself over and over again in her mind.
That Banshee had said that the Hunter wasn't human. That she was "more than that". "Far beyond anything she had seen before."
If that was the case...then what was she?
And what kind of terrifying power could she have, that the Gods themselves speak of her in such a way?

"Back, foul beast!" Selina spoke in a gaudy, over-the-top, faux male voice as she moved the wooden knight in front of Gloria's own battered knight. She continued while pretending to menace an invisible enemy with her knight, "You will harm my comrade no longer! Your evil ends tonight!"
Gloria shouted with her, moving their wooden figures forward to slay the invisible monster. After a few moments, Gloria started laughing and hugged Selina around her waist. Selina hugged her back, sighing with happiness.

Koga stepped over the decapitated body of the Amazon Chieftess. He didn't even spare it a second glance as he turned his sights on the remaining Amazons. The army was arrayed out in front of him but none seemed ready to face him. They all stared at him with fear in their eyes, bodies shaking as his baleful gaze fell upon them. He wouldn't put their numbers anywhere approaching an army. At best he'd consider them a raiding party. Only around 50 or so among them, not counting the ones that had been subdued, injured, or killed.
He frowned as he considered his current options. Their numbers could be trouble. While he didn't doubt he could defeat a good number of them, if they attacked all at once he wouldn't be able to efficiently defeat them. At least not without spreading his flames around. Which, while effective, would likely catch Akuri in the flames. He couldn't see the ninja among the Amazons at the moment after all. And he wouldn't want to hit her in his attempts to deal with his enemies. He would either have to risk it, keep his flames controlled, or simply fight without using them. All of which could make his battle harder.
However, that was only if all the Amazons attacked him at once. That would only happen if they got over their fear of him.
If.
"What's wrong?" Koga did what he could to make his voice as menacing as possible. He hunched over while holding his blade out to the side. Blood dripped from the edge and fall onto the rocky earth, forming a trail behind him as he approached the Mamono. Each step was slow and measured as he made an effort to appear as threatening as possible. From the way the Amazons' started to back away from his approach, it seemed to be working. The one at the front, a Shaman by the look of things, had her arms held out and was trembling with fear. Sweat fell from her forehead in waves and her teeth chattered as she took quick, shuffling steps away from Koga.
Koga continued, his voice carrying across the entire group, "Aren't you going to attack me? Strike at me with your weapons? Push me down and rape me? Isn't that what you do?"
He lifted his blade and then flicked it to the side, splattering blood on the ground. The Amazons all backed up further, some turning green and others standing protectively in front of their fellows. Seeing the fear take hold of them, Koga didn't waste his chance. He held his blade up and pointed it toward the assembled Amazons, "No? Then I suggest you leave. Now. Lest you all suffer the same fate as the filth behind me."
As if to emphasize his point, the head of the Chieftess rolled to a stop in front of the Shaman's feet. She looked down at the dead stare of her former Chieftess' head, then back up at the Ochimusha that killed her. She didn't even need a moment to make her decision, "Retreat!"
That one word was all it took. The Amazons threw down their weapons and started a disorganized retreat. They, surprisingly, avoided running into or over each other as they fled from Koga's bloody blade. Those who couldn't move or were "preoccupied" with their husbands were grabbed and carried off alongside the wounded. Koga spotted Akuri as the crowd of Amazons parted around her, the Kunoichi laying on her back as multiple Amazons let her arm and legs go. She quickly got to her feet to stare after the Amazons' retreating backs.
Within moments the Mamono who had once occupied the town were completely gone. All that was left of their passing were their footprints, the dead body of their Chieftess, and the numerous men who had once been their unwilling partners. Koga stared out at the entrance to the village gate, his grip on his sword not wavering for a moment. It wasn't until he couldn't see the Amazons' shadows anymore that he finally relaxed. With a flourish, he sheathed his sword and closed his eyes to give himself a moment of peace.
"Is...is it over?" Akuri said, getting to her feet while picking her sword up from the ground. Her chest and inner thighs were exposed to the elements, the Amazons having ripped off the covering. Her hair was a mess and her skin seemed to get redder by the second. She made an effort to avoid looking at Koga as she tried to stand on her own two feet. Still, she managed to remain standing and speak with a clear voice, "Did...did we win?"
"The battle? Yes," Koga stated as he opened his eyes. He glanced at Akuri, eyes roaming her form to look for injuries. He frowned and grabbed his tattered upper coat and threw it Akuri's way, "Here. Cover yourself."
His coat fell over a surprised Akuri's face. She sheathed her blade and then gingerly grabbed the coat hanging over her shoulder. She stared at the article of clothing, breath hot and heavy as she rubbed the rough fabric between her fingers. It took her breathing deeply before she placed one part of the coat in her mouth and ripped it in two. She murmured a thank you to Koga while tying it around her privates.
Koga continued when he was certain Akuri had regained some modesty, "And our task is not yet over. There is still work to be done."
"Ya got that right," both Koga and Akuri turned around to see Hagar marching toward them. His right arm held his limp left arm, each step making him wince at the numbness in the limb. The flames on his body had disappeared but the tattoos remained across his body. He stopped at Koga's left and nodded, "Don't know where ya came from or why ya showed up now. Or even what the fuck ya are. But thank you. I owe ya one. Both of ya."
"I am Koga, an Ochimusha in service to the Good Hunter," Koga bowed to the man in a form of salutation. He then turned towards Akuri, "She is Akuri, a Kunoichi that is accompanying me."
"Name's Hagar. Was an old miner, and now I guess I'm a Hero of the War God. I'd shake your hand but my left one is still numb," the old man shrugged his shoulder. He looked between the two of them, "Gonna assume those Amazons weren't friends of yours. Which means you're probably not here to do the same thing as them. And if that is the case, then what are you doing here?"
"We have come seeking aid for a town called Pran. It requires support as conflict is in its the near future," Koga said easily while rising from his bow.
Hagar's expression falls into a scowl. He shakes his head, "Then ya came at the right and wrong time. 'Fraid the only ones left here are me, the kids, the folks just coming out of the mines. And those are mostly women. The men...well just look at 'em."
Hagar jerks his head towards the entrance to the village. Turning to follow his gesture, Koga and Akuri were able to see what the men who had been assaulted were doing.
That being, chasing after the retreating Amazons. Some ran while others walked or shuffled forward. All fifty had blank looks on their faces, with their fully nude forms barred to the open sunlight. Not a single one even looked back as they ran out of the village. A few even shouted the names of the Amazons that had attacked them with clear longing in their voices. The only ones not moving toward the exit were the five children that were all huddled together against a wall.
Koga scowled, a low growl escaping his throat as he spoke, "What is this? We save them from being raped by Mamono and this is how they respond?"
"It is not their fault," Akuri states with a shake of her head, the other piece of the coat now out of her mouth. She continues while tying what's left around her waist, "We did not get here in time. All those men have tasted what it is like to bed a Mamono. The moment they feel what the insides of a Mamono are like, their minds and preferences are forever changed by the experience. Once that happens, there is little that can be done to save them. Even attacking the Mamono that had caught them wouldn't have helped. They likely would have fought to protect her."
"And that's without taking into account how many human women got changed," Hagar continued, eyes roaming the faces of the men leaving the village. With each one he recognized his scowl grew deeper and deeper. His heart burned with each remembered face with that blank look on their faces. Then his eyes widened as he saw a specific face. That of a young guard who had been arguing with just this morning.
"Jeremy," he said the former guard's name aloud. The freckled boy lumbered towards the entrance without a care in the world. His helmet and armor were gone, his white skin barred for all to see. His soft face was etched with an expression of loss while his eyes only stared onward. Hagar opened his mouth to call out to the boy, "Jeremy!"
The boy didn't even turn around.
Hagar bit his lip, "Damn it. Fucking Mamono."
Behind Hagar, the people who had survived were slowly returning to their village. They gave the three warriors a wide berth, focusing on moving to their homes and seeing what was intact. The parents of the five children gathered them up. Mothers cried out in relief to see their children safe, while fathers immediately went to hugging the boys and girls. Akuri and Koga saw the display. Both smiled at the sight, though Koga's lasted for only a second.
He turned to stare Hagar down and waved a hand toward the men, "Should we go after them?"
"Don't bother. They'll probably get to Lescatie or something before you can reach 'em," Hagar said, falling backward onto his butt. He let out a frustrated sigh while shaking his head, "Well, fuck. Gonna have to move the village. Can't stay here. Those Amazons will tell the Mamono that have shacked up in Lescatie. Then we'll have a full-blown invasion on our hands. Especially since I'm guessing the two of ya aren't sticking around."
Koga nodded while Akuri turned her gaze away from the Hero. Hagar nodded sadly, "Thought so."
"Why are you assuming this without seeing what the rest of your people think?"
Hagar pointed a finger at Koga, "It's in the last thing ya said. 'Your people.' If you two aren't gonna stick around, then the people here will look towards the next best person for help. Me. I'm a Hero now, after all. Even if I wasn't, everybody saw me stand up to that flaming dog woman. They'll defer to me on a lot now. Even if they didn't, well no one's gonna argue with the guy who's blessed by Ares."
Hagar shrugged. Koga was silent for a few moments as his mind began to work through what Hagar had said. Then he crouched down to be level with the old man, "If possible, I would like to make a suggestion."
"Not like I have any ideas. Go right ahead."
"Would you consider going to Pran?" Koga's words made the old man's eyebrow rise. The Ochimusha continued undeterred, "As I stated earlier, we came here looking for support for Pran. What I didn't say was the reason for it. Pran will soon be attacked by the White Lilim, Druella. The very same one that took over the nation of Lescatie. While they are preparing for battle, they are severely outmatched."
"You're not making a good case as to why I should take everyone there. From the sounds of it, we'd all just end up monsterized anyway," Hagar rightfully pointed out.
"That is true...unless you merely use Pran as a stopping point for yourself. There is a city, a neutral one, that is about two day's ride to Pran's south. You can stop at Pran to rest, then send all noncombatants to the city while you stay to help the defenses."
Hagar's confusion was weakening by the moment. The old man's eyes narrowed at Koga's words, "And why would I want to stay to fight against a fucking Lilim?"
"Because if they get through Pran, nowhere else will be safe. After all, if Druella was willing to conquer Lescatie, what's stopping her from going after the rest of the Frontier once Pran is conquered?" Koga said without missing a beat.
Hagar stared Koga down, his uncertainty not abating in the slightest. Koga merely matched the old man's stare. Akuri watched the two men in silence, keeping herself busy by watching out for any Amazons that may have chosen to stay behind. Considering what the village just went through she felt any advice she had to give wouldn't be received warmly. After a few moments, Hagar sighed before shaking his head, "Well, not like I have any other options. I don't like it...but I'll take ya at your word, Ochimusha. Whether or not I'll stay to defend Pran is up to me though."
"That is fine. Thank you for at least considering my proposal. Will you and your people need any further aid?"
Hagar scoffed and waved a hand through the air, "Please. We ain't that soft around here. We'll get shit together and move out the first chance we get. Would appreciate someone who can lead us to this Pran though."
Koga nodded then got to his feet. He turned to Akuri and spoke, "Can I entrust this to you, Akuri?"
"What?" Akuri's eyes widened at Koga's words. She pointed her finger at herself, "Wh-Why me?"
"Because today is the last day that the Good Hunter plans to remain at Pran. I must return post-haste so that I may assist her in her plans," Koga put his fingers to his mouth and blew. A piercing whistle echoed across the village, making multiple people stop and stare at the undead samurai. A horse's whinny answered Koga's call. A few moments later, Nobu came riding up from behind Koga, forcing many of the villagers to step out of the way of the charging horse. Koga stood still as Nobu trundled up to his right side.
"You're leaving me? To lead them?" Akuri waved her hand at the various humans around them. She looked around with a nervous expression on her face, "I-I'm not sure if I can..."
"Akuri. Meeting with the Good Hunter is only the first reason I am asking this of you," Koga said while climbing into his saddle. He grabbed the reigns with one hand before turning to stare at Akuri. He smiled at the ninja as he spoke, "The other is that I believe you can handle it."
Akuri felt her heart skip a beat. She had to grit her teeth to stop herself from swooning at Koga's words. Instead, she bowed her head and remained silent for a moment. Then she looked up at nodded with a determined expression on her face, "Alright. I will see you later, Koga."
Koga nodded back before turning around to stare at the still-seated Hagar, "Watch yourself, Hagar. We met no Mamono on our travels, but I'm not sure if your group will be so lucky."
"Appreciate the warning, but we'll be fine. Get going. You've got somewhere to be after all," Hagar waved his hand through the air dismissively. Koga turned back around and then kicked Nobu in his sides. The horse whinnied before galloping through the entrance of the village.
Akuri stared after Koga's back with a mixture of appreciation and longing in her eyes. Hagar called to her, "It was Akuri, right?"
She turned to the human, "Yes?"
"I didn't ask this before because we had other things to talk about. But, you're a Mamono right?" at Akuri's nod he continued, "How long is my arm gonna be like this?"
He held up his limp left arm. Akuri examined it then pursed her lips, "Maybe for a few more hours? Depends on how much Mana your foe pumped into you."
Hagar rolled his eyes, "Great. Just my luck. Anyway to speed that up?"
"Your body should already be trying to replenish its Spirit Energy. All you can do is wait."
"Of course. It can never be easy with Mamono, can it? Fuck. Anyway, if you're a Mamono then what the heck was he?" Hagar pointed a finger in the direction Koga had gone. He shook his head in confusion, "He clearly wasn't a Mamono, but he wasn't human either. So, what is he?"
Akuri was silent for a long time. She turned towards the entrance to the village, mind swirling as she tried to think of something to say. How could she describe Koga? He certainly wasn't just a male Mamono. He wasn't human. And he wasn't whatever Cynthia was. But then...what? What was he?
"...I do not know," she said, both to Hagar...and to herself.
----------------------------------------
"I am planning to go to Lescatie."
The Guard Captain of Pran, Felix, stopped himself from speaking. He slowly turned his eyes towards the Huntress. As he did, he felt his original plans slowly but slowly shattering before his eyes. He spoke with no emotion in his voice, "Say that again."
"I am planning to go to Lescatie, with the intention of asking Druella to not invade Pran," Selina said easily.
Felix blinked.
"You got any alcohol here?"
"No. Why?"
"Cause if you're serious, that means one of two things. One, you're drunk. Two, I need to get drunk."
