A Fairy Tale (Season 1)
15. [PAST POINT] Rivals

15. [PAST POINT] Rivals

On a dark and desolate cliff where Ryznith's transformation into a Zovrath monster reached its agonizing peak. Her once-beautiful fairy form was now twisted and writhing in pain, her skin mottled and marred, her limbs stretching into something monstrous. Her screams echoed off the cliffs, raw and full of torment as her body morphed, fueled by her desire for revenge.

Ryznith, panting heavily through the waves of searing pain, clutched at the jagged rocks beneath her. “I... I—” Her voice cracked as her throat burned with the strain of the transformation. “I need it... I need that Mini-Dyfost...” Her words twisted with fury, the name of the machine spurring another wave of agony. “This...this will be my revenge....they..will suffer....That vermin... Emberis... Council... all of them...” She screamed louder as she forced her body upright, her newly-formed red wings flaring out violently.

“I must... go to Zovrath!” The very name sent a fiery jolt of pain through her, making her scream again, her body convulsing. But with sheer force of will, Ryznith pushed herself off the cliff and took to the air. Her monstrous wings beat heavily as she soared toward her target, each flap more menacing than the last.

Moments later, she crash-landed with a tremendous impact at the Ignis Military Station, where Ethan’s most advanced machines and weapons were stored. The ground cracked beneath her as she slammed into it, dust and debris flying into the air. Alarms blared, and the station's Yalzets—elite soldiers of the fairy realm—came rushing toward her.

“Dihodos breach! Open fire!” one of the Yalzet commanders shouted as the soldiers leveled their glowing blue assault rifles at Ryznith.

The air filled with the rapid thrum of energy bullets as they opened fire, blue streaks of light tearing through the space toward her. Ryznith snarled, feeling the impact of the glowing bullets bite into her flesh, searing her skin. Her newly-formed, monstrous body staggered under the assault, but she pressed forward. The soldiers’ bullets hurting..

“Keep shooting!” another Yalzet yelled, reloading his rifle. “Don’t let her move!”

“She’s heading for the hangar! Stop her!”

But Ryznith, fuelled by rage and desperation, charged through them, her claws ripping into the floor as she propelled herself toward the door where the Mini-Dyfost was kept. The Yalzets tried to lock it down, scrambling to barricade the entrance, but she was too fast. With a slip under the door, she made her way inside.

Ryznith stumbled, her transformation causing another wave of blinding pain. She collapsed to her knees, her hands clutching the ground as a guttural scream erupted from her throat. The agony was overwhelming, but so was her thirst for revenge. She wouldn’t—couldn’t—stop now. She clawed her way back to her feet, her eyes glowing with malevolent determination.

“There... it is...” she rasped, her voice trembling as her gaze locked onto the Mini Dyfost.

Memories flooded her mind—back when she was still a fairy, watching Ethan activate the device. The pain in her body was unbearable, but her mind was sharp, her memory unrelenting.

"This... this is how he did it," she muttered to herself, her voice trembling with both agony and resolve. “Yes... just like this.”

Ryznith’s fingers danced over the controls, switching the machine on in the exact sequence she had seen Ethan use. The console hummed to life, the air crackling with the energy of the machine's activation.

“Yes..” she growled, her voice barely above a whisper, yet laced with satisfaction. “Now... take me to Zovrath...”

The name once again sent a jolt of pain coursing through her body, and she screamed, doubling over as the transformation clawed at her insides. But she fought through it, her fingers tapping out the coordinates for Zovrath’s Ark with precision.

Outside the room, the Yalzets were banging against the door, trying to break it down. “Get in there! She’s activating something!” one of the Yalzet shouted.

“Reinforcements are coming! Don’t let her escape!” another Yalzet bellowed.

But they were too late. With a final click, the Mini Dyfost whirred and glowed, the machine’s energy wrapping around Ryznith’s body. The room flashed with a bright light, and with a sudden zip, the Mini-Dyfost—and Ryznith—vanished.

The Yalzets finally broke through the door, but the room was empty, save for the cracked floor and the lingering hum of energy. Ryznith was gone, teleported to Zovrath, where her dark path of revenge was about to begin.

> Place : Zovrath’s Ark. ( A colossal celestial ship of Zovrath)

> Realm : Astryla (Destroyed and wiped out now by Zovrath)

The scene shifts to the heart of Zovrath’s Ark, a place drenched in an abyss of darkness, an eternal void of despair. It was a ship, but it felt more like a floating nightmare, where light dared not enter, and hope could not survive. At the center of this void sat Zovrath, a hulking mass of pure malevolence, his eyes glowing like black flames as he gazed out into the infinite expanse of the universe. His presence dominated everything, as if the sheer weight of his existence could crush stars.

Before him, kneeling with reverence and fear, was Blackspire, his most trusted servant. Blackspire’s dark, slender form barely cast a shadow in the overwhelming darkness surrounding Zovrath’s throne.

Blackspire (head bowed low): "My Lord, Zovrath..."

Zovrath did not acknowledge him immediately. His eyes remained locked on the nothingness, an empty void that stretched beyond time and space. His silence was heavy, suffocating. Finally, with a slow, deliberate gesture, Zovrath raised his hand. It was enough.

Blackspire (rising to his feet): "We have something to show you, my lord."

Zovrath’s massive frame did not move, but the gesture of his hand spoke volumes. He allowed whatever Blackspire wanted to present, yet his attention never wavered from the endless void. His patience was as terrifying as his power.

Two of Zovrath’s grotesque minions, twisted creatures that crawled from the darkest recesses of his domain, entered the throne room. Between them, they dragged a monstrous figure—Ryznith, now transformed into a hideous creature, her once-fairy body corrupted and twisted into something both wretched and powerful. She collapsed onto the cold black floor, panting from pain, still mid-transformation, her body heaving with each agonizing breath.

Blackspire (sneering slightly): "We found her on the Ark. She claims she’s from Ignis realm."

That finally drew Zovrath’s interest. With a slow, mechanical movement, his throne turned, his dark form towering as it loomed over Ryznith’s broken body. His eyes, blazing with cold malevolence, bore down on her with the weight of a thousand horrors. He stood, his massive figure rising like a mountain of darkness, sending tremors through the very air.

Zovrath (voice deep and cold as ice): "Rise, my child."

Ryznith, barely able to lift herself, struggled. Her body was still wracked with agony from her transformation, but she fought to stand. Her breath was shallow, her limbs weak. Her monstrous wings twitched, unable to lift her. But she looked up at Zovrath with desperation in her eyes.

Zovrath (coldly): "Rebellion breeds destruction. Those who rebel against their kin invite the same cruelty they seek to escape."

Ryznith, her voice weak but full of rage, replied through gritted teeth.

Ryznith: "I betrayed them because... I want... revenge... on all of them."

Zovrath turned, his hulking form casting an immense shadow over her as he clasped his hands behind his back, the sound of his slow footsteps echoing in the void.

Zovrath (walking): "Hmmm... Revenge. The poison that festers within the wounded soul. It consumes, but never heals."

Blackspire (stepping forward, his voice sharp): "My lord, this could be their trick. She could be a trap. We should kill her now."

Ryznith’s eyes widened with panic, but she didn’t flinch.

Ryznith (panting, desperate): "No! I came here on my own! I want... I need your dark power... Make me your monster. I... want to destroy them for what they did to me!"

Zovrath stopped in his tracks, his voice slow and chilling as he continued without looking at her.

Zovrath: "Revenge... the cruel side of anger. It burns within you, I can see that in your eyes. But tell me..." (he turns his massive form to face her, his blazing eyes narrowing) "What did they do to you, child?"

Ryznith, trembling from both pain and fury, hissed her answer through clenched teeth.

Ryznith: "They... they betrayed me! The Council... they chose that pathetic Emberis to be the Savior's Guardian. It should have been me! I was the one worthy!"

Zovrath’s lips curled into a twisted smile, his deep voice resonating like a dark anthem of despair.

Zovrath: "Life is rarely fair. But know this—revenge will not satisfy your anger. It will only hollow you further."

Ryznith (her voice trembling with fury): "I don’t care! I want them to suffer for what they did! Give me your power... and I will bring you to the Ignis realm myself."

Blackspire moved to object again, but Zovrath raised a hand, silencing him.

Zovrath approached Ryznith, his figure casting her into an even deeper shadow. He stood over her, and with one enormous hand, he reached down, his fingers brushing over her head, the sheer size of his hand nearly engulfing her entire skull.

Zovrath (commanding): "Rise..."

Dark energy flowed from his hand into Ryznith, black and pulsing with evil power. She screamed, her body convulsing as the transformation finally completed. Her monstrous form expanded, her wings tearing through the air with a newfound strength. The pain faded, replaced with something far worse—an insatiable hunger for destruction. Ryznith’s eyes glowed with darkness, her body no longer trembling with pain, but with power.

She had become something else entirely—darker, more monstrous than before. A creature of Zovrath’s making.

Zovrath (his voice low and sinister): "Go now, my child... Take your revenge. And when you are done, bring the realm of Ignis to its knees before me."

Ryznith, no longer the trembling, desperate creature she had been, stood tall and strong, her monstrous wings stretching wide. She bowed her head in submission to her new master, her voice low and filled with malice.

Ryznith: "Yes... my lord. They will suffer. All of them."

Zovrath turned back to the endless void, his eyes glowing with satisfaction. His new weapon was ready. As the scene shifts back to the peaceful Ignis realm, the warmth of the morning sun filters through the room, casting a gentle glow on Emberis and Ethan, who are sleeping closely together. Emberis, who had promised to always keep Ethan’s hand in hers, keeps that promise even in her sleep, her intertwined with his small hand.

----------------------------------------

> Place : Emberis’ home.

> Realm : Ignis

Ethan stirs first, blinking sleepily at his hand still held securely by hers. He smiles, a small yawn escaping his lips as he stays cozy under the covers, not wanting to disturb the tranquility.

Ethan (softly, smiling): "You never leave my hand."

Emberis (who is awake but keeps her eyes closed, her voice sleepy but playful): "Mmm... And never ask me to leave it."

She tightens her grip slightly, her warmth comforting.

Ethan (teasingly): "Oh, how could I? It was your rule, after all."

Emberis (opening her eyes with a gentle smile, her gaze soft): "Yes, and now that I'm your Guardian, I'll always hold it. Forever."

She pulls his hand closer to her face, inhaling deeply as if his scent brings her peace.

Ethan (laughing softly): "You always smell my hand like it's some kind of flower."

Emberis (smiling as she presses his hand against her chest): "I love your scent. But sometimes... you do smell awful. Especially when you work on those crazy machines of yours."

Ethan (grinning, leaning closer): "Hey, I’m just adding some extra 'spice' to life, you know."

They both chuckle together, sharing the easy, playful banter that comes so naturally between them. The moment is warm, full of love and laughter, a perfect morning in their realm.

Suddenly, a sharp beep from Ethan's Prodge interrupts their peace. Ethan quickly reaches for it, his expression changing from joy to concern.

Ethan (eyes widening): "What?!"

Emberis (sitting up, worried by his tone): "What happened?"

Ethan taps on the screen, replaying a video feed. His shock is visible.

Ethan (his voice tense): "The Mini Dyfost... it's been stolen by some kind of dihodos"

Emberis (her brow furrowing in disbelief): "What? Who could’ve done that?"

Ethan pulls up a video clip on the Prodge in a projection, playing it for Emberis to see. On the footage, a figure, monstrous and distorted, can be seen amidst a chaotic scene.

Ethan (trying to comprehend the transformation on the screen): "Who's she? It’s like she’s... under... transforming."

Emberis (eyes narrowing as she tries to recognize the figure): "Ryz...?" (Her voice is filled with uncertainty, as if she can't believe it.)

Ethan (looking up at her, shocked): "You mean Ryznith?"

Emberis (still unsure, her mind racing): "I don't know... I'm not sure, but..."

Ethan (sitting up abruptly, panic creeping into his voice): "We need to go back to base. This is bad. Elden wants us to report immediately."

Emberis (nodding, already moving with urgency): "I'll tell Mum and Nyna."

She climbs out of bed quickly, her usually calm demeanor giving way to anxiety as she heads to her family. Ethan stays seated, eyes glued to the Prodge, replaying the video again and again.

Emberis stands in the center of her family’s cozy home, her voice urgent yet steady as she tries to convince her mother of the seriousness of the situation.

Emberis (pleading): "Mum, try to understand. This is an emergency. We have to go back."

Flisa (frowning, arms crossed): "You just got back yesterday. You promised to stay for two days."

Emberis (exasperated): "I know, but things have changed. The Mini-Dyfost has been stolen. This isn't just some small problem."

Ely (gently, her concern for her daughter evident): "But Emberis, you're on leave. You deserve this rest."

Emberis (firm but loving**):** "I am on leave, but being Ethan’s Guardian means I have to be with him—every time, no matter what."

At that moment, Ethan appears from the hallway, his presence immediately drawing everyone’s attention. His small voice carries the weight of his bond with them, especially Ely, who had taken him into her heart.

Ethan (softly, yet with love): "Mum."

That single word silences the room. Ely’s eyes soften as she looks at him. Ethan gazes up at Ely, who had embraced him as one of her own.

Ethan (looking up at her with a gentle smile): "You're like my Mum. You are my Mum. And believe me, we’ll come back as soon as everything’s under control."

Ely (her voice catching, tears forming): "You called me Mum..."

Her hand instinctively covers her mouth as the tears flow freely, a mix of joy and sorrow overcoming her. It was something she'd longed to hear, but never expected. The word had finally connected them.

Ethan (grinning cheekily): "Well, I need someone to scold me, don’t I?"

Ely (laughing through her sobs): "Oh, Ethan... Please, please come back soon."

Ethan (reassuring): "We will."

Emberis (smiling warmly at them both): "We’ll always come back to our family."

The moment becomes one of love and warmth, as they all share a group hug, holding on to the security and peace they’ve found in each other. For a moment, nothing exists but the love they feel, the quiet reassurance that everything will be okay.

But this tender moment is abruptly shattered by a deafening boom outside the house. The blast shakes the ground beneath their feet, and their eyes widen in shock.

Emberis (immediately alert): "What was that?"

Without hesitation, Emberis rushes to the door and swings it open, only to be met with chaos. The once peaceful streets are filled with fairies running in panic, trying to escape whatever horror had just struck. The sky darkens, and a sense of dread fills the air.

Flisa, Ely, and Ethan follow close behind her, and when they step outside, their hearts sink.

Hovering ominously above their home is Ryznith, but she is no longer the Ryznith they once knew. Her monstrous form is twisted, her body a grotesque figure of dark power, radiating an evil presence that makes the very ground tremble. Her eyes, now black and filled with hatred, lock onto them.

Without wasting a second, Emberis summoned her fiery powers, her body glowing with a fierce red light, and shouted firmly.

Emberis (urgently): "Get inside. Now!"

Flisa and Ely, their faces pale with fear, rushed back inside the house. Ely darted toward Jiya’s room, scooping up the little one, still sound asleep, before retreating into a corner where they could hide. The tension was palpable, and the air felt thick with danger.

But Ethan, defiant and unshaken, stood his ground beside Emberis, refusing to leave her side.

Emberis (glancing at him, her tone serious**): "Ethan, I said get inside!"**

Ethan (determined): "No. I’m not leaving you alone."

Before Emberis could argue further, the earth trembled as Ryznith descended from the sky, landing heavily on the ground. Her grotesque, twisted body loomed over them, her massive dark-red wings outstretched and aflame, casting an eerie glow. Her eyes burned with an evil intensity, and her voice was sharp, dripping with venom.

Ryznith (mocking, her voice cold**): "Well, well, well. Look who we have here. Emberis and her little vermin."**

The voice was familiar, though distorted. Emberis stared at her, piecing it together, her heart sinking as realization dawned.

Emberis (her voice filled with disbelief and pain): "Ryznith...?"

Ryznith (smiling darkly**):** "Right in front of you."

Emberis took a step back, her confusion evident as she looked at her former friend, now a nightmarish version of herself.

Emberis (her voice soft but firm): "What have you done, Ryz? This isn’t you. You’re better than this."

Ryznith’s expression twisted into one of fury, her smile vanishing as her tone darkened.

Ryznith (furious): "What have I done? No, Emberis. You did this to me. You made me into this."

Ethan, sensing the rising tension, stepped forward, trying to reach her with reason.

Ethan (pleading): "Ryznith! We can help you. Just calm down, and we’ll figure it out."

But Ryznith’s gaze snapped toward him, her fury now directed at the boy.

Ryznith (her voice dripping with malice): "Oh, the little Savior. You’re the reason behind all of this."

Emberis, feeling the shift in Ryznith’s focus, immediately pulled Ethan behind her, her flames intensifying, her hands glowing bright red with fiery energy.

Emberis (her voice fierce, protective, serious and dangerous): "Don’t you dare get closer to him..."

Ryznith’s expression hardened, her tone sharp and filled with menace.

Ryznith (coldly): "Closer to him? No, Emberis. I want to kill him."

In the blink of an eye, Ryznith lunged forward, her claws outstretched, but Emberis was quick. She dodged the attack just in time, her heart racing.

Emberis (shouting): "Ethan, get inside! Now!"

Before Ethan could move, Ryznith attacked again, this time managing to land a powerful blow on Emberis. The force sent her crashing into the wall of the house, splintering the stone and shaking the foundations. Dust and debris rained down as Emberis scrambled to her feet, her eyes blazing with determination.

Without missing a beat, Emberis charged back at Ryznith, their bodies colliding in a fierce exchange of punches and blows. The ground shook beneath them, and each impact sent shockwaves through the air. They fought relentlessly, their strength causing walls to crack and debris to fly as they slammed into each other.

At one point, Emberis delivered a powerful punch, sending Ryznith sprawling onto the ground with a heavy thud, her monstrous form denting the earth beneath her.

Ryznith (panting, grinning despite the pain): "**So... you’ve learned a few new moves."**

Emberis (pleading): "Ryznith, we don’t have to do this. Please, let’s talk it out."

Ryznith’s grin twisted into a snarl, her voice dripping with disdain.

Ryznith (mocking): "Talk it out? Because you know you're weaker than me."

Her wings ignited with black flames, and she ascended into the air, hovering above Emberis as her power surged. The air around her darkened, and her form twisted even more, her body enveloped in a flaming, monstrous aura. She was no longer the Ryznith Emberis once knew.

Without warning, Ryznith unleashed a devastating barrage of attacks, each one faster and more brutal than the last. Emberis, though skilled, couldn’t dodge them all. Blow after blow landed, sending Emberis crashing into walls, the ground, and nearby debris. She groaned in pain, struggling to keep up with Ryznith's overwhelming speed and strength.

Ethan, watching helplessly from a distance, clenched his fists, torn between fear and the urge to help.

Ethan (whispering): "Emberis..."

As Ryznith continued her assault, Emberis struggled to her feet, her body battered but her spirit unbroken.

As Emberis struggled to regain her footing, Ryznith seized the moment, her dark powers surging around her like a storm. With a clenched fist, she levitated the roof of Emberis's house into the air, exposing the terrified faces of Emberis's family huddled inside.

Emberis (eyes wide, voice trembling): "No... Stop!"

Ryznith laughed maniacally, her cold gaze sweeping over the frightened family below.

Ryznith (mockingly): "Oh, Emberis. Look at your poor, terrified family. I doubt they are light-blessed."

Emberis gritted her teeth, fighting against the pain coursing through her body.

Emberis : "Ryznith, don’t! You want me! Leave them out of this!"

Ryznith (smirking): "You? Maybe. But you know what I want most?"

With a sweeping gesture, she lifted Flisa, Ely, and Jiya into the air, dragging them toward the street like marionettes on strings.

Ryznith: "I want to see you suffer."

Emberis felt a surge of fury and desperation ignite within her. Drawing on every ounce of her power, she stood tall, refusing to give in.

Emberis (defiant, voice steady): "You won’t get away with this!"

Just as Ryznith prepared to crush her family, Emberis leaped forward, launching herself at Ryznith. The impact sent Ryznith crashing back down onto the street, momentarily distracted. Emberis rushed to her family.

Emberis (frantic): "Are you okay? Hide somewhere safe! Go, go, go!"

Flisa, Ely, and Jiya, spurred by Emberis’s urgency, began to flee. But as they made their escape, Ryznith lunged at Emberis again, separating her from her family.

Ryznith (sneering): "You’re not going anywhere!"

Before Emberis could charge back at her, Ethan stepped up, determination blazing in his eyes. He aimed his gun at Ryznith and fired a massive void vortex, the swirling darkness strong enough to pull her in. Ryznith struggled against it, her power colliding with the vortex, fighting to stay free.

Ethan (shouting): "Emberis!"

Emberis (urgently): "Ethan, go hide!"

Ethan (shaking his head**):** "No, I have a plan—"

Before he could finish his thought, Ryznith unleashed a devastating explosion between them, throwing Emberis and Ethan apart. The shockwave dissolved the void vortex, leaving Ryznith free and more furious than ever.

Ryznith (glaring, voice low and menacing): "Enough of this! Now, you will all suffer!"

Emberis felt a cold chill grip her heart as she looked between her family and Ethan. She had promised to protect them both. Ryznith wanted to destroy everything she held dear, and in that moment, Emberis realized the weight of the impossible choice before her. The weight of despair settled over Emberis. On one side, her family, the ones she had promised to protect above all else. On the other, Ethan, whom she loved fiercely and had trained tirelessly to guard. In this moment, Ryznith was determined to destroy both, and Emberis felt the crushing pressure of her impending choice.

Ryznith gathered her power, energy crackling around her hands, and sent two dark explosive energy blasts hurtling towards both Emberis's family and Ethan. Emberis’s heart raced as she realized the impossible dilemma before her.

Life offered her no time to choose whom to save, and in that instant, she was left standing alone, torn between her two greatest loves—her family and Ethan. The tension hung heavy in the air, and as Ryznith's dark energy surged toward its targets, Emberis felt a wave of despair wash over her, knowing she was about to face her fate.

Ryznith (with a sinister grin): "Let’s see who you choose to save!"

Time seemed to freeze as Emberis faced an agonizing decision: save her family or protect the one she loved most. The air crackled with tension, and the world around her faded as she stood, heart racing, fully aware of the dire stakes.

As Emberis stood, her body trembling, life offered her no time to make the choice no one should ever have to make. The weight of that impossible decision crushed her, but something deep inside her, some primal instinct she couldn’t even comprehend, pushed her forward. Without thinking, without choosing, she flung herself over Ethan, her arms wrapping protectively around his small frame.

The dark energy from Ryznith slammed into them both, but it didn’t tear through Emberis the way it should have. Her body absorbed the blow, shielding Ethan from the blast. For a moment, there was nothing but silence, the crackling sound of energy dissipating, and Emberis’s heavy breathing as she crouched over him.

But then...the explosion. The other dark energy blast, the one that was meant for her family, hit its mark.

Time seemed to stop. Emberis froze, her heart constricting as a cold, horrifying realization washed over her. She had saved Ethan, but her family... She turned, her breath catching in her throat. Her gaze fell on their lifeless forms, broken, unmoving. Flisa, Ely, Jiya... Gone.

For Emberis, the world collapsed. Her knees buckled beneath her, and the scream that tore from her throat was silent, trapped behind the overwhelming grief that consumed her.

Emberis (whispering, voice cracking): *"No...”

As Ryznith hovered, smiling somewhere in the distance, Ethan, seizing the opportunity, charged his gun. His hands firm, and he aimed and fired another void vortex at Ryznith, this time hitting her squarely. The dark vortex swirled around her, sucking away her power. Ryznith struggled, eyes narrowing in fury. Before she could grow any weaker, she forced herself free and fled, leaving behind the shattered remains of Emberis’s life.

The street was eerily quiet. Ryznith was gone, but that didn’t matter anymore. Emberis stumbled, her legs barely able to support her as she rushed to her family. She dropped to her knees beside them, her hands shaking as they hovered over their still, cold bodies.

She took Jiya’s lifeless form into her arms, her face streaked with tears, her voice hoarse from the sobs tearing through her chest.

Emberis (desperate, rocking Jiya's body): *"No, no, no...please...Jiya, wake up. No...please, baby, wake up…”

Tears fell relentlessly as she cradled her, her words choking in her throat. Her hands, usually so full of strength, trembled uncontrollably as she tried to shake her awake, as if the force of her desperation alone could bring Jiya back.

Emberis (voice breaking, pleading): *"Mum, please... don’t leave me. Please, Mum, open your eyes… just once more… please…”

But Ely’s eyes remained closed.

Her sobs grew louder, uncontrollable, as her hand reached for Flisa. She crawled toward her, her hands shaking as they touched Flisa’s cold, lifeless skin.

Emberis (her voice barely a whisper, trembling with grief**):** *"Flisa...Nyna...please...wake up. Wake up…”

But there was nothing. No breath. No heartbeat. Nothing but silence. Emberis collapsed, her hands shaking violently as she reached out, clutching at them, trying to pull them back from death itself.

Emberis (screaming): *"Nooo! Noooo!”

The wind rustled softly, the world eerily calm, as if mocking her loss. There was nothing but the sound of her heart-wrenching sobs, the kind that came from a place so deep inside her, it felt as though her soul was tearing apart.

She had lost them. The people she swore to protect. The family she loved more than anything in this world. They were gone.

Emberis (broken, voice shaking, her tears soaking the ground**):** *"Please... don’t leave me... please... come back... come back to me…”

Her pleas were met with nothing but silence.

Ethan, who had been standing behind her, felt his own heart shatter at the sight of her grief. His small frame trembled as he stepped forward, his chest tight with his own sorrow. Gently, he knelt beside Emberis and placed his hand on her trembling shoulder, the warmth of his touch the only thing he could offer in the face of such overwhelming loss.

Ethan (softly, his voice barely above a whisper): *"Emberis...”

She collapsed into him, her body shaking with sobs so violent they racked her entire form. She buried her face into his shoulder, clinging to him as if he were the only thing keeping her from being swallowed whole by the darkness.

Emberis (crying into Ethan’s shoulder, her voice raw**):** *"Ethan...I lost them... I lost them…”

Her words came out between sobs, each one breaking Ethan’s heart a little more. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her tightly as she cried, her pain too much for one person to bear alone.

Ethan (voice cracking, tears falling down his own cheeks): *"I’m sorry... I’m sorry, Emberis...”
