A Duet's Platonic Adventures
A Little Convincing

A Little Convincing

The days have passed seamlessly. The duo we’re familiar with spent their days discussing, watching movies, messing with one another, and setting up sales for their stolen goods. Profits aside, they were enjoying the peace.

Or rather, Samuel was. Jane, who had a knack for chaos, was eager to do something. And ever since discovering Deck’s ordeal, she couldn’t go about with her day without thinking about it.

But her companion was dead set on not giving it a chance. At least, not at first.

It was bedtime. All lights were out and both were right next to one another at their bed.

“...Samuel,” she starts. “I’m bored.”

The young adult, who was half asleep, doesn’t put effort into his answer. “Dream about something fun then.”

“I don’t wanna just dream about something fun though.”

He then opens his eyes, even though he’s still trying to reach dreamland. “Another job? I got nothing.”

“I mean, you kind of do.”

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

It takes him a few seconds to register what she meant. With a sigh, he turns his head to her. “Really?”

She, in turn, turns her head to him. “Aren’t you tired of the same thing over and over?”

“I have a lot to keep me busy.” He then caresses her cheek, “Like babysitting you.”

Whether it was out of embarrassment or discontentment, she gets flustered and swats his hand away. “I’m not nine.” She then shuffles herself to sit up, him doing the same.

The short haired male chuckles. “I know.” Another sigh. “Look, I get it, the plane thing was fun but we could have died there.”

“We could have died eating breakfast.” She tries raising a point. “Why live a boring life all the time? I wanna have fun!”

“And I want you to be safe.” He counters. “Which would be kinda hard if we had guns pointed at us.”

Knowing how much of a hard to convince guy he was, she gives up all reason and tries to plead to his soft side. She hugs him, pressing him hard against herself.

She knew how much he loved her hug, even if he didn’t admit it.

“Please?” She looks up at him, doing her puppy eyes, which twists the man’s resolve.

After a couple seconds of this, he sighs again. “I’m gonna call Deck tomorrow.”

She pulls herself closer to his face, kissing his cheek. “I love you.”

“Yeah, yeah, I love you too,” he tries pushing her away, having had enough of her affection shower. “Now, lemme sleep.”

Both go back to trying to sleep, with her on a much better mood.
