“You think that’s enough? we agreed I get almost half and all you give me is two silver pebbles? you must be kidding me! you’re hiding something, search him.”
“No, Don, it’s really half of all I got, it’s just that not many people travel these roads since the beasts got ravenous again, and the incident with the paladins on the other road made everyone cautious.”
He pleads with his head looking to the floor, worthless scum, how can I run a business here is everyone is afraid all the time. “Don, I found a purse, it has…” the thug says emptying it to his hands. “…its got two small silver.” That’s it? he wasn’t lying after all.
“It seems you were telling the truth, still, I’m running a business. I expect the share to be larger next time, and if you want to keep anything make sure to stay on the job!” The thugs take the purse and the two pebbles, the man keeps pleading but one of them drags him away.
“I expect nothing less than one silver rock for the next moon, I can replace you if I you can’t.” I say this last thing as he is dragged. It’s important to keep an impression of strength, the baffoons will only follow the strong, or at least, the one who seems strongest. “The one on Dilip checkpoint is next right? he must be more successful”
Pam! the door seemingly explodes to a thousand pieces, the wooden splinters shower the room. “What is this? a rebellion? Fei, go get them.” I tell the Elf guard at my side. When your as infamous as I sometimes some goon thinks he can charge in and take everything from me, kind of like what I did to the one before me, but no one but I can pull it off.
“A tavern at the side of the mountain, what a isolate location.” is heard from the door. As the dust and parts of wood settles two lone figures are standing above a broken door, and every thug in the room is pointing their weapons at the couple. The men at the door wear nothing special, or rather, something out of place, clothing of a foot soldier paladin.

“Don Jaxtis, you have lorded over crime for far too long. I, Sir Mythos, and my protege Sir Chezz, will now take you to court for your crimes.” The two babble. “We give you this opprotun-” but before they have the chance to finish their introduction “Kill them!” I command the thugs.
Fei stays by my side to see the thugs gut the two uninvited guests but both of us find it hard to believe, the thugs are losing, and quite quickly too. “What is happening? Elsin?” my most prized informant next to me is having trouble making sense of this too for a few seconds. “Don, I believe they may be… from the inner circle.”
“WHAT!?” The inner circle? no wonder the thugs are barely giving them a warm-up. “Fei, you keep them busy, and return afterwards and find me in Aether Savia.” The elves are the most loyal things on Mythos, and some of the most resilient, he better find me quick. “Wait, are you going?” Elsin asks “Of course I am, sometimes you need to make an escape, you make sure to buy me some time, Elsin. Thanks for the service.”
Elsin tries to follow me, holding my cloths but I knock him away and jump to upwards, climbing to the top of the shack where there’s a window.
Fei found the paladin as a match, and the other paladin is handling the thugs. Before I leave I give them some final words, they all pause to listen. huh, even now I command the room.
“I want to thank you all for everything you have done, and you Mythos and Chezz the paladins, I will certainly remember you. You can be certain you will never catch me alive, but now you need to fear for your own lives when I’m free.”
With that I jump through, now standing above the shack, just in place to jump to the wall of the mountain, where a secret tunnel will take me down and exit the other path. I’m a genius to have thought of this escape route, the paladins might be stronger but they will never catch me, that’s cause I’m smarter.
