She’s the ugliest thing I have ever seen. Her head is out of proper sizes. It’s like looking at a rock sized blister. She’s disgusting when she sleeps like that.
I haven’t even named her yet. I wanted to name my beautiful daughter Ceres, or Ceridi, I’ve known that much since long ago… After giving birth to her I could not even utter a word. I barely even held her since.
Something must be done, to think that a mage like myself can’t cure this. But it is in my being a mage that I have connections. I will ask a friend, or a friend of a friend. Some one might know a spell, or a potion, or even a way to plea the gods.

One of my friends introduced me to a… Something. Something that knows of a chemi recipe that can, with a small dose, cure her of this terrible fate. She will be beautiful, and bright, and it might even make her talented at magic.
The recipe was free, as with all the terrible things. As it turns the ingredients are expensive, I do not know where to find some of these or even what they are. It even crossed my mind to ask how the recipe came about, or how to even know if it works but something tells me I am better off not knowing this.
The rarest is probably this thing he called ‘Condensed green crystal’, the most dangerous are probably dragon organs, a heart and a liver. The other materials are not common either but these are probably the biggest concerns.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
As long as there is hope for my Ceres to bloom from this abomination it is enough for me to carry on, I will go on this quest for my daughter, she will be the most gorgeous mage in all of A’yamaar. For now, I will leave her with my spouse, and my apprentices.
A grey mage like myself might gather the ingredients within a week or two, all but the most elusive. Dragon parts will be the most difficult, but there might be some on the market. The condensed green crystal will be quite difficult as well, if anyone might know on of this it will be the dwarves.

A return home, my quest took me places I did not forsee. But now I may finally begin the potion brewing, everything must be precise. The brewing must be surveyed for 3 days and 3 nights and constantly stirred.
Just 3 more nights and you will transform to a beautiful maiden like your mother, the daughter I always wanted. She wriggles around in her cradle, with anticipation, no doubt. Reaching with her arms to me, just a little more, small one.

HE TOOK IT! THE POTION WAS RUINED! My stupid incompetent apprentice. He destroyed everything I have worked for. He took a sip and stopped stirring. The potion is now as toxic as I have ever seen a liquid be. And he leaves not only unscathed but also with all of the effects the potion will give him? That boy will pay!

Woe! I’m sorry little one, you will never be Ceres. I chases him, and caught him but… There was not thing left to do. I released him, floating in a river, someone may find him but there is nothing left to do for you.
Latching on to my warm hug, embracing me with her small fingers around my thumb. My cute little blister. You do not care, you do not understand. Even though you are ugly, you act so cute, I can’t hate you. Even though you are not what I wanted, I love you so much.
Morfine, I think that’s a better name than Ceres.
