At a Cafe
Ryuusei felt a bit nervous as he sat across the table from Lisa's mother, Sagiri Chiharu, who was looking at him with a discerning gaze.
"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Chiharu. I'm Ryuusei, Lisa's friend," Ryuusei introduced himself with a friendly smile.
Mrs. Chiharu looked at him skeptically for a moment before taking his hand with a firm grip.
"It's nice to meet you, Ryuusei. Lisa has mentioned you a few times," she said with a hint of suspicion in her voice.
Ryuusei chuckled nervously. "I hope Lisa has only said good things about me," he said, trying to ease the tension.
Mrs. Chiharu raised an eyebrow. "Well, she hasn't said anything bad, but that doesn't mean I trust you just yet," she said with a small smile.
Ryuusei nodded, understanding the overprotective motherly instinct. "I completely understand, Mrs. Chiharu.
I'm here to assure you that I have nothing but the best intentions for Lisa," he said with sincerity.
Mrs. Chiharu's eyes softened a bit as she looked at Ryuusei.
"I can tell you really care for Lisa. That means a lot to me. She's my only daughter, and I just want her to be happy," she said with a sigh.
Ryuusei nodded in agreement. "I know, Mrs. Chiharu. That's why I'm here. I want to make Lisa happy, too," he said with a smile.
Lisa, who had been sitting quietly listening to the conversation, suddenly spoke up. "Mom, Ryuusei isn't lying. He really does care about me," she said with a smile.

"Well, Lisa always tells me how responsible and hardworking you are, Ryuusei-kun. I'm glad my daughter has such a reliable friend," Sagiri said with a small smile.
Ryuusei blushed a bit at the compliment. "Thank you, Mrs. Chiharu. I really care about Lisa and want to make sure she's doing well."
After a while Ms.Chiharu takes a leave.
Ryuusei and Lisa bid goodbye to her.
Ryuusei and Lisa spent the whole day at the shrine, enjoying the serene atmosphere and each other's company.
As the sun began to set, Lisa's phone rang. It was her mother, Sagiri Chiharu, asking if everything was okay and if Lisa had eaten.
Lisa, with a sigh, replied that they had just finished their prayers and were about to leave when her mother insisted that they come over for dinner.
Ryuusei could hear her mother's voice on the phone, urging Lisa to bring her friend over, and Lisa couldn't say no.
As they walked to Lisa's house, Ryuusei couldn't help but feel nervous. Meeting the overprotective mother of the girl he loved was not something he had prepared for. But he knew he had to face her sooner or later.
Sagiri greeted them warmly at the door and ushered them inside, fussing over Lisa and making sure she was well-fed. Ryuusei couldn't help but smile at the sight of them.
It was clear that Sagiri loved her daughter deeply and would do anything to protect her.
Over dinner, Ryuusei and Sagiri struck up a conversation about their respective jobs and hobbies. Sagiri seemed genuinely interested in Ryuusei's work as a programmer, asking him about the latest technologies and programming languages.
Ryuusei was pleasantly surprised by her knowledge and passion for the subject.
As they talked, Ryuusei couldn't help but notice Lisa looking more and more anxious. She had been drinking a little too much sake and was starting to slur her words.
Ryuusei knew he had to tell Sagiri how he felt about Lisa before things got out of hand.
Taking a deep breath, Ryuusei looked Sagiri straight in the eye and said, "Mrs. Chiharu, I have something important to tell you. I love Lisa.
I know it may seem sudden, but I've had feelings for her for a long time, and I can't keep them hidden anymore. I want to confess to her soon."
Sagiri looked surprised but not displeased. "Is that so?" she said with a small smile. "Well, Ryuusei, I can see that you care for Lisa very much. And I must admit, you seem like a nice young man.
But Lisa is my precious daughter, and I want nothing but the best for her. Can you promise me that you will always take care of her and make her happy?"
Ryuusei nodded earnestly. "I promise. I will do everything in my power to make Lisa happy and protect her."
Sagiri looked at Ryuusei for a moment longer, then turned to Lisa with a smile. "Lisa, did you hear what Ryuusei just said?"
Lisa, who had been slumped over her plate, looked up groggily. "Huh? What did he say?"
Sagiri laughed. "It's okay, dear. You can go rest now. Ryuusei and I will talk some more."
As Lisa stumbled to her bedroom, Sagiri turned to Ryuusei and said, "I think Lisa had a little too much sake. But don't worry, she won't remember anything tomorrow."
Ryuusei felt a pang of disappointment. He had wanted to tell Lisa himself, but it seemed like that moment had passed.
He resolved to confess to her as soon as possible, regardless of what her mother thought.
As he left the Chiharu household, Ryuusei couldn't help but feel grateful for meeting Lisa's mother.
Sagiri was kind and understanding, and Ryuusei knew he had her support. He only hoped that Lisa would feel the same way when he finally confessed his love to her.
