I'm a bit worried about what this means. Chronomet tells me, king of his Shridenia, that he's giving up his supreme leader position. He says Centrail Primia will succeed him as the new supreme leader. I thought Centrail was sacrificed?
...
Ah, right. He likes to honor the fallen. I guess he didn't mean 'all shall perish' in a threatening way, yesterday, if he's putting Centrail in his position.
...
I hope it's not a hidden message that we're gonna be sacrificed to him later. Our leader is dead, long live Chronomet?
...
Hey, wait! If he's not the godly leader, and Centrail is dead, then aren't I back to being administrator of Shridenia?
I look over the huge real-time situation map and hundreds of teams I'll have to manage.
My mind goes blank.
This isn't fair! I know I said I was bored before. Still, you can't hand me a unified nation spanning most of the planet without so much as telling me to 'figure it out!'
I grab the sides of my head.
"Arrgh!"
I release my head, then look over the gold-decorated throne he made to coronate my new position. It's way too big, but I know it fits me perfectly. Did he do that to make me look more powerful? Sigh. I suppose words are superfluous when his actions achieve so much.

As if to mock me, the Recon Team, a floor below, bursts into a buzz of activity. Yes, my throne room is upstairs in my new castle. The throne room's floor is made from some manner of clear material. Besides the red carpet with black accents that rolls up to my throne, doubtlessly his colors, the entire floor is see-through.
I have no idea how he did this.
The see-through floor lets me observe what everyone in the situation rooms downstairs are doing. He explained at length about 'fiber optics' and 'photon tunneling' but I... I don't get it. He's a god; it doesn't need to make sense to mortals.
In any case, none of these folks' rooms are positioned such that my view from the throne is blocked by carpet. In fact, I'm told they can't see each other, but the walls don't obscure my view at all. He claims this is a way to remind Shridenia's leaders how far they can fall if they lose sight of what matters. And who will suffer if they do.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
However, this so-called 'floor' is petrifying to walk upon. Even the carpeted portion. I initially tried placing another large carpet and a lot of cluttered furniture. It oddly kicks them off. I then secretly tried covering it with dirt, shameful though that is for a king, but the dirt vanished. It appears the best I can do is line the walls with bits of kingly decor. Maybe I'll hang a curtain over the floor, or— er. Eh?
At the moment I look up toward the ceiling, I see a blatant inscription array rotating on the roof of my castle. Since when do arrays ROTATE? Is it a scanning sentry or... Hmm?
...
I stare at it.

...
Wait, is that how it's kicking my furniture around? There's no array on the floor; it's on the roof? REALLY?!
...
I look down at the invisible floor.
No. I'm not going to bother trying to hang anything. It'll probably kick that off too, and maybe kick my servant off their ladder. The last thing I need is an injured servant whilst settling into my new role. That'd be a bad omen.
Damnit!
Somehow he thinks of everything.
I want to ask how in the everloving dragon den he planned this out, but I always imagine him saying 'I'mma dragon' and rawr-ing at me. He likes to do that.
Oh, right. Of course. He's a god. I guess 'rawr' is a valid response to a foolish question.
I look at the throne room entrance. My favorite butler, the same one I had in Fridellia, has been promoted. Tonzt is now Chronomet Castle's Management Team Leader. He walks elegantly up to my throne. Has he been practicing more than usual?
"My lord—"
The correct greeting. Chronomet insisted 'highness' was too haughty. Sure thing, actual god. Whatever you say!
"— your Recon Team reports that dragons have flown from the new temple's many portals in large numbers. Around a hundred thousand. Aside from the sermon he gave earlier, he must've personally given them instructions."
I'm a bit worried. I've gone over the records of the dragons' behaviors prior to sciolation. There's plenty of reasons to be worried. But this is Chronomet: he surely has a plan.
"What are they doing?"
Tonzt brings up his communication array. He's contacting the Communications Team, no doubt.
Yes, we have an entire team dedicated to communicating between teams.
What even? Eh, at least it makes my job easier.
After a moment:
"Mana Team reports that most are visiting libraries, schools, construction projects, laboratories, and similar. These dragons are confirmed as participating in learning, education, or assisting the common people. A smaller fraction are acting as guards, hunters, or politely soliciting apprenticeships under masters."
...
Whaaaaat?
This is much too different from the historical records of draconic chaos and subjugation. How does Chronomet constantly pull off such upsets?
Then again, I guess he already conquered everyone. Who would these dragons subjugate? His own holdings? I don't think he'd take too kindly to that.
I look back at the huge map. There's a whole lot of dragons displayed on it now. Within the cities, no less.
...
Hmm.
Never thought I'd be happy to see dragons in my cities.
With this, even if he's not around personally, our people will be reminded of his presence through his draconic brethren. To say nothing of his grand temple. I've only just an hour ago seen his sermon 'video.' His temple is absolutely breathtaking. Far beyond any human's ability to construct— that's for sure. I simply must visit.
An attendant runs into my throne room. Another emergency?
"My lord, my lord! You need to decide on the color of the tablecloths for—"
Oh my god, Chronomet!
Save me!
