A Boy’s Reincarnated Adventure
Goodbye Cruel World, Hello New One!

Goodbye Cruel World, Hello New One!

I’m a 14 year old homeless and alone person.

I’m not too handsome, but not ugly either. A child who was afraid of consequences and always listened to orders.

I used to have a home; until I decided I had enough of my fathers shit.

Ever since my mother died of an incurable disease, my father had no one to hold him back. So he stayed out late at night and drank as much booze as he wanted.

Compared to my student-athlete brother, I liked to lock myself up in my room and watch anime or read books.

This greatly dissatisfied my father and made him point his disappointment to me. Because of my brother’s brains and athleticism he was very popular in school, I only had a few people around me I could’ve called friends.

My brother was very rebellious towards our father, if he didn’t want to do something, he’d tell it to his face.

Fuming with anger, my father had no idea how to get my brother back into his place. So in the meantime, he directed his anger towards me.

I was very sensitive and mean comments had always struck me in the heart, and the comments from my own father ruined my heart. At first I was very tolerant to his attitude, but I guess he only took that tolerance as weakness.

He doesn’t mean it, he’s just drunk, it’ll all blow over the next day. That’s what I always told myself.

But, he only became more aggressive with each passing day.

I consoled myself, he’s only letting out his sadness of my mother’s death. I knew I was lying to myself.

Though he became more bold, I always had my grandmother backing me up. Without her, who would’ve know how I would’ve turned out by now.

It wasn’t until she passed that the bastard had the balls to do something.

One day, he hadn’t returned home, even though it was past 11:00 pm. So I called him, he replied saying he was hanging out with his friends at a liquor store. Since I knew which store he always went to, I hopped on my bike and rode there with suspicions in my head.

And that’s when I lost it.

That bastard wasn’t hanging out with his friends, he was fawning over some bitch.

Riding home with anger, I sat in the living room and awaited his return.

I decided, I’ll confront him.

Boy, if only I knew it’d turn out like this. Then I wouldn’t have made that stupid decision.

As soon as I even brought it up with him, bang, he slapped me so damn hard I fell to the floor.

Not letting me off easy, he took off one of his shoes and repeatedly slammed it against my face.

Bang, bang, bang.

When he stopped to take a breather, I hurriedly crawled to the door. Opening the door, I pulled my body through and toss myself onto the sidewalk.

Ah… it’s raining. I said to myself.

Looking towards my house, I saw that bastard standing there at the door.

“Never come back, you ugly mutt!”

Slamming the door shut, that was the last time I saw his face. Heh, maybe it was for the better. After all… how many people can just insult and throw away their own child like that. Mmm, maybe more than I thought.

When I finally managed to get up on my feet, I dragged my aching body covered in blood and rain with me.

—————————————————————————————————————

And that’s how I got to where I am now. No home, no family, no money, no food or water, and finally no happiness.

I wish things could’ve been different. I said to myself.

Though even if things were different, I felt it would’ve all ended the same. With our family broken apart.

Back when my mother was still alive, she asked me to promise her something. To keep the family together.

However, I broke that promise.

Grandma’s dead.

Brother’s selfish.

And father’s corrupt.

Her final wish and I blew it.

Now I gotta find a place to stay, otherwise if I catch a cold in this rain it’s all over. But I don’t think any hotels would accept someone covered in blood with no money. They’ll just end up calling the police.

Maybe I could just stay under a bridge for now. Alright now I need money, again, I don’t think anyone would hire someone wearing something like this, even if I wasn’t a minor. But stealing is a big no. I promised mother to live an honest life.

Even if it doesn’t matter anymore.

I would’ve called a relative, but it’s been forever since I spoke to one. After my mother and grandmother died, my father had my brother and I completely cut ties with them.

Sigh. Even if I had a second chance, it’d probably turn out horrible like now. Most likely my brother and father will fight over my belongings. Those damn savages.

I never liked my brother, maybe it was out of jealousy. He always got what he wanted and more. While I always sat in his dark shadow as if one day he were to fall, I’d be there to replace him. That’s what I thought to myself.

But now I realize, if I were to replace him, my father would most likely use me like his lifeline and extort money out of me.

If I was a little more controlling in my own fate… maybe…. just maybe I would’ve accomplished something and free myself from his grip.

“Hm?”

Beneath the heavy rain, I heard a voice.

“Help! Stop him!”

I turned around and noticed an old lady screaming. She was pointing at a black hooded figure dashing right at me, with a knife in one hand and a purse in the other.

“Wha-What do I do?”

Seeing the knife in the thief’s hand, I hesitated as to whether or not I should intervene. I shouldn’t get involved right? This has nothing to do with me.

I was gonna turn around and walk the other direction, but I don’t know what came over me, I suddenly charged at the thief.

Seeing the surprise in the thief’s eyes turn into cold intent, I know he wasn’t joking around. He was intending to kill me if I didn’t step down.

But I couldn’t back down now, I’ve already given up on so many things, I can’t give up now!

Standing face -to-face with the thief, I clumsy threw a left jab at him.

Dodging my jab, the thief swept his legs towards mine and brought me to the ground. Seeing I was laid out, the thief tried to run away.

But, I wasn’t going to let that happen, I crawled towards his leg and yanked it down, bringing him down with me.

I jumped on his back and locked my arm to his neck to ensure he couldn’t escape. I could do this, now all I gotta do is wait for authorities. Confident in my strength, I thought it was all over.

However, as soon as the thief saw the men in blue run towards us, he pulled his knife out and stuck the blade into my chest.

“GRAH!”

Ignoring the pain surging through my body, I absolutely refused to release the thief. Frustrated, the thief dug his blade out and stabbed me again in the chest.

Then again, and again, and again, and again!

Ah… it hurts so much.

Finally the police had caught up and restrained the thief, allowing me to get a breather.

Eh… I can’t move.

However, I found my limbs wouldn’t listen to what I was telling them to do. I lowered my head to look at my chest. Blood was leaking out of my chest slowly. The stab wounds were now clearly visible to me. The rain washed the blood off my clothes and managed to find its way into a gutter.

It’s so warm… Feeling the blood cover my chest, that’s all I could think. I’ve never felt this warm in my life.

“Hey! Kid! Are you alright?!”

Seeing blood drip from my body like a river, the police were alarmed and worried.

“Quickly! Call an ambulance!”

Numerous people who were just passing by surrounded my body and looked at me with sadness and pity. But, all I could think about was that old lady.

I hope she got her purse back. Ah… speaking of her, here she comes now.

“Thank you, Thank you so much.”

The old lady looked at me with guilt and tears in her eyes. No, I don’t want her to be sad. I only did this for myself. Yes, to redeem myself. That’s all.

However, my lips wouldn’t move to tell her that, instead, all I could do now is lift my trembling arm up and wipe her tears with my hand.

Um, this is fine. If I can leave this world helping someone else, even if it meant sacrificing my own life, I’d gladly do it again.

Ah… it’s so cold. Is this how it ends? Hmph, how cruel. I guess I really did live my life up to this point just to die. It’s fine. Only… only I wish I could’ve done more. Seen more. Lived more. But alas, this is how it ends. Goodbye world, see ya later…

Feeling that warm blood turn cold, I shut my eyes and let myself fall into the dark embrace of death.

—————————————————————————————————————

Hm? That’s strange. Even though I’m dead I can still use my conscious.

Maybe this dark abyss is death.

But staying here would be boring.

“What’s that?”

Walking deeper into the darkness, I noticed a bright pure light. It was alluring and beautiful to behold.

I wanted a better look so I got closer. But as I got closer I felt my body tingling.

Looking at my limbs, I noticed I was slowly dissolving into ashes. Before I was able to panic, I was completely erased.

—————————————————————————————————————

(Eh? Where am I?)

Opening my eyes, I could only narrow my brows to the discomforting light shining on me.

When I was able to adapt to the brightness, I noticed two figures in front of me, or to be more precise, one was holding me and the other was looking at me.

(Hm?! Holding me?!)

Looking closely at the figure holding me, I noticed it was a beautiful lady who seemed to be in her twenties, with long blonde hair, smooth pearl like skin, a face shaped in an oval, and dark blue eyes.

“——-XXX——-XXXXX——“

Looking me observe her, the beautiful lady chuckled and spoke in a language I never heard before.

“Wah, Wah——-“

I attempted to communicate with her, but only unintelligible babbling came from my mouth.

(Huh?)

No matter how hard I tried, I wasn’t able to form a real sentence.

(Why?!)

I threw myself out of my thoughts when I noticed the other figure approach me. It was a handsome young man who seemed to be around the same age as the lady, with short black hair, brown dark eyes, and a slender face that carried a little bit of a heroic and fierce aura in it.

“——XXXXXXXXXX——XXX——“

(Ugh… more crap I can’t understand.)

Distracted by my thoughts, I didn’t notice my situation until the man held my body and walked in front of a mirror.

The reflection of the man did show, but what caught my attention wasn’t that, instead it was a small baby being carried in the arms of that man.

But, how could that be. Unwilling to believe my situation, I lifted my arm and noticed the baby was doing the same thing, I tilted my head and so did it, I babbled and so do it.

It looked like I was reincarnated. I finally realized that fact.

I was a baby.
