Sitting together with My guards, Amila and melly. Amila the maid, melly the daughter. (i kept forgetting her name) Eating bbq pulled pork soft tacos with rice... this is were i tell you the wonders of genetically modified rice.... rice=wonder.
Taylor and her crew sitting across from me.. some cousins... it was a very nice lunch.. only a few weeks from graduating... this is high school basically... and of course while having fun someone always needs to be upset... A young noble man. Forgot his name came to are table. This young man..wanted Taylor as his bride... during the confrontion about my friendship.. i simple said look if you want taylor to marry you ask the girl if she can stand you. you might have a chance.... yeah...i could have worded that better.. he was just irritating...Apparently we had a dual before... i think i might have slept in that day..I know Karen was upset with me because the school sent her a fine.. however when it was apparent that i had no ideal what she was talking about... she let me go..and never got back to me...
I dont think meeting up for a duel is that big of a deal for her either...long story short... while i was trying to think if i should just ignore this duel challenege also... melody mentioned that i need to accept this one because the fines are to steep to ignore. not to mention it makes me look like i cant keep my word...Melody is my companion AI she started off with me in the ship got upgraded and then we escaped together with some of the women who lived with the family...
Fine i accept your silly duel i told this guy... Anthony i say...No travis he replied... ahh my bad your face just screamed Anthony...(i actually had to go back and find this mob characters name..)
Fine did you set up a proper duel... What are we going to do have a battle using Vr.. will we measure how far each of us can pee standing up... who can pick up the most girls.. draw the short straw... i mean all of these sound good to me... i just dont want to get hurt...
Travis said it wont be a problem we will see who kills more mobs useing mana gathered at the end for comparison...
Sighing in relief ahhh thank good ness you did not want to measure penises...This seems more fair then you trying to beat me with what you have natural gifted to you...he leaves pissed off shouting for all to hear how he will make me miserable...This guy does realize we are just competing to see who can kill more mobs in a dungeon right... its highschool lots of stupid drama.
I honestly dont even care if i show up for the duel... now i wish we measured penises that would have been much quicker. if it were not for the fact the clan would get another fine.
I recieve an email about 15 minutes later saying when the duel is schelduled. Again we can have a dungeon diving crew of 100 men.. just like last time... pretty much looks like the same stunt...however no shows have 3x the fine... Ah this is a fine by the school has nothing to do with travis... i guess i am not the only one who skipped an official duel...
this weekend will be a full weekend dungeon dive... Are you serious i have plans this weekend saturday im getting a massage..this is totally screwing up my weekend. i wanted to go to the races saturday night and cheer on my favorite all girl pit crew. and driver. we had some dinner reservations...
this travis guy is really annoying.. i should have been born a girl just so did not have to deal with these testatrome events...well if i was born a girl... id have to find a husband no way would i want that.
Taylor you owe me one i tell her... she looks at me blankly... In fact if i have to do this duel. Just so this child can win and feel manly enough to ask you to marry him you have to do it with me... since i am the one suffering.
If he wins he gets to ball up and ask you.. if he loses he just wasted our time..taylor looks at me for a long moment then sighs... sure sure ill help you with this stupid duel.. good with your team and my team we got the majority of the 100 man slots filled...melody, Melly, Amelia, And Alexis i want you to invite that massage therapist to come to the dungeon with us... That pit crew and the see if any of those cooks would be willing to come with us for the weekend. i dont want to screw up are weekend just because of Travis.
Friday at 4pm me some friends mine and taylors Bodyguards the maids a different massage therapist then my original a few cooks we actually got the pit crew girls and the driver to come with us for this dungeon dive... while we where greeting each other and getting ready to dive in. We watched Travis and his 100 man legion get ready to enter through there gateway..
Looking over at them with body armor, extra weapons, chests of potions, combat medics, a dungeon blacksmith with his mobile armory. I sat there and watched over a million dollars in mana crystals marched through the gate way Travis looking at my crew with a sneer. admittedly only the bodyguards looked to be in uniform everyone else was hanging out in jeans and a t shirt or something casual with maybe a backpack and a few busses in the background... which is what we all will be sleeping in while in the dungeon. It was pretty well know i used those busses to camp in the dungeon when me and my friends were dungeon diving.
looking around seeing everyone still greeting each other and chatting quite nicely i was thinking this would turn out pretty good.. Alexis was going through a list to make sure we had everything.. The cooks had already checked there supplies..most of the ingrediants where brought over last night. the last few deliveries would arrive any minute. once I had the green light from everyone.. My fun filled crew of slackers Entered the dungeon also..
Stepping through the dungeon gate following the trucks busses and hover carts filled with camping gear.. we looked around.. checked to make sure everyone arrived together... it not like i was worried about them being seperated from us... i think at this point it just human nature to confirm everone they stated with came together with them.
I hopped up to the back of a flat bed truck pulled a tablet from a scv. Tagged the scv to a command center. and then told the command center to go ahead and float off the back of the truck and land on the ground... sure we were only at the entrance but might as well get started.. the new comers came around me and i showed them the basics.. passed out tablets.. they went around touched a tablet to scvs..and probes...
I had a bit of a surprise Every cook picked the probes... The protoss is pretty much all magical constructs so they cost more then the terran race.. To get started fast you kinda need more Internal magic then the norm...or able to absorb Mana faster then the average person..I got started right away on building some refineries... this was more for the cooks then for myself. the refineries if you recall crystalize mana. the probes can Grab that crystalized mana and drop it at the nexus hall.
Right away we had several different teams forming... each person on my 100man dungeon crew obviously saw everyone else as a allied.. however teams where formed of 8 people. the raid was everyone... this was more for the computer software.
As for the contract dungeon we where in.. the first floor was a wide open cave system we were all able to spread out build are little mobs and then direct them to attack the dungeon mobs.
We moved slow... checking to see if everyone was ready none of us was really in a hurry. when i got done i got in line to eat some food. drink soda. chat with the guys and girls.. it was a nice little camp out.. once even the slowest got a decent level of units and figrured out how to actually play a very basic game.. we moved to level two. bringing all the units and buildings we created with us.. I actually had all protoss building built right on top of the busses and flat beds
if you ever watched a western movie where the cowboys where driving a cattle herd.. that how this felt except we were driving mobs to attack dungeon mobs... it was a nice slow attack that created a little gaming community. Totally breaking the ideal of dungeon diving.
while in the 2nd floor this was were we had dinner.. we ate in groups of 25 generally. Not like it was a set rule or anything some people stuck around after dinner and ate with others. before dinner was even over we were already cleaning up level two and moving on to level 3. those who were more experienced and could recover units faster went first. we started to lose mobs pretty fast here... however the slower less experienced sent there.there mobs in to fill in holes and such they may not have know what they were doing against stronger mobs.. howeverwith this approach we managed to gain a foothold on the 3rd floor.
we also started to show them upgrades for units and how to manage them while in combat. even if they failed. it not like anyone was really worried about it.. they could take there remaining units go back to level two. build up new units and try again. level 3 is were we allowed the newbies to gain there experience while the more experienced kept about 40% of there units back while building up units to replace those that they lost and such and also to upgrade those they could when they needed to... they were prepareing for level 4.
Advanced facilites were built on the conquered 3rd floor.. we slept that night there with units patrolling and a few guards who stay up for night shift. I was aware that newbies would be jumpy...so each expedtion vehicle was made with soundproof walls...if it was not for the fact they knew they were sleeping in a dungeon it might have felt like sleeping in a hotel.
for those who were going to have trouble sleeping we were fine with them sleeping in on saturday.. there was no hurry at all after all. most everyone had a good sleep even if they fell asleep early in the morning... we did not even move the busses and trucks untill 2 30 the next day.after everyone had a late lunch...only about 3 people had so much trouble sleeping that they stayed all the way through till saturday lunch.. we simple dosed them with sleeping aid. and then drove to the gate for level 4.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
At level 4 this is were basic mobs actually had trouble giving damage to dungeon mobs.. to be honest i was amazed at how far we got with basic mobs... this is now were we really started stressing upgrades... unit controll.. we even started talking unit tactics versus dungeon mobs...for instance 8 basic marines vrs one level 4 goblin... six firebats vrs one level 4 slime... 10 basic marines two upgraded marines and one sergent marine was a good combo against those damn cave bats... or 4 goliaths... 3 wraiths vrs one cave bat was a decent combo... a flock of cavebats lots of wraiths and carriers.. with ground anti air as support. such as every marine you can scramble and every goliath you can get..
If you find armored pigs go straight to Tanks and vultures.. battle ships that can shoot down are great to kill pigs also. for the boss monster swarm the bastard. throw some zealots at armored pig you will lose some but the upgraded zealots with a local ai zealot can minimize loses. carriers templars and dark archons are a massize killer of mini bosses. Archons from the protoss race are almost a robotic magic cannon constantly sending out lighting bolts... or area of attack lighting storm they have a few other cool tools once there upgraded. but there slow and weak like a typical rpg mage... lucking there a mob and no one actually dies if they do.
level four really started to introduce combined units and teamwork... I should probally mention this... the cooks where all sons of the cooking families we asked to join us with a few parents... they often teamed up with the pitcrew girls... i felt a little sad about this. they were having a blast however and that actually made me pretty happy.
the massage girl stuck very tightly with the bodyguards... taylor, melly, amelia, myself, Alexis, a cousin of mine, and two students from are class that were commoners. was my team of eight.. we were the advanced team..
Did i mention taylor was the class president... i did didnt i... lets be honest i was the weak link in that crew. I pretty much was the guy who feed units to the player controlling the mobs in the front.. melly stayed in the back and created mobs to there orders.. taylor and the two students controlled the fighting.. Amelia cordinated with other teams around us... to make sure dungeon mobs did not get behind us was also the one who kept are reserve unit...It took close to 12 hours to clear level four... it was two in the morning when we finished... we also had to leave two teams behind to clean up any mobs that spawned they each had a full upgraded army...that was 16 people on level 4...with close to 12400 mobs on level four. give or take a few... the math was simple 200 mobs per a person. there we rested for 4 hours.. then each team would get to attack level 5.
we did this in this manner so that we could rest more.. It also happened that level 5 was lot a big wide open floor perfect warring...it was lots of medium sized tunnels 60 meter wide or so. with entrenched camps of mobs that could spawn more mobs while in battle you actually had to destroy the whole camp before the mobs for the camp would stop spawning... we sent a medium experienced team as the opening move..they lost more then 67% of there mobs.
as they withdrew we sent a newby team in.. this was almost a pure protoss team.. the last team was a pure terran team... lightning storms spasmied across the dungeon ceiling... then strolled in the protoss carriers squads right after with there attack craft spinning out... finally waves of zealots under the attack craft rushed in... then the dragoons moved in... to provide medium sized plasma bolts to pin down postions... the protoss also have a seige unit that a very slow mover but send plasma bombs in that tracks a unit and does massive damage... those filled in last ...12% of the mobs for the newbies where lost.. however ... we now got to go into the first room of level 5.
a complete team of guards mixed between taylor me and my cousin guards then swept the mobs encampments... finally we set up are beach head.. team 4 was also a medium team.. they swept into one of the paths provided... they made it while only lightly pushed till the next corridor... and lost the head of there units before they managed to stop there units from going in there in a line. built of a formation.. then attacked the corridor.. this corridor was smaller and more heavily fortifed with walls and more huts for the Dungeon spawn points... this looked like a oni and imp village... while team 4 attacked head on... team five moved up behind them and then attacked also.
soon it would be my turn. on sunday morning at 6 am... my turn finally came we had cleared the second corridor..reinforced this corridor.. then sent scout mobs down each pathway to map out this floor. team one just woke up... they will start rebuilding there mobs... however the Ai inside the command center did have a build order so while they needed to select mobs to upgrade the majority of the work had already been done while they sleep.
Taylor is a fan of Goliaths... she prefers them over marines and always goes for the quick build to get those fast... Melly loves invisible units and is a protoss fan...she will build terran units also if she can get the ghost and drop a dungeon nuke... magical bomb that just looks like a nuke no radiation created however.. curse magic instead. kills vitality. Her favorite tactic however is send invisible swords men in attack a major unit fast... until they are detected throw some carriers in with there attack craft and bring the invisible units out of conflect then bring an airdrop of zealots in to finish a base...melly is pretty damn slick when it comes to picking a mob group apart.
I have always been a fan of Archon mass attack.. followed by a run away with them trailing me into an allies formation. i also love to use protoss cannon build wall...its like an auto turret for the protoss... useing plasma bolts with about the same power as a dragoon but with out the mobility.
sometimes however no matter how slick you are... just damn good cordination with different units can undo your mass attack or tricky behaviors... the two students on our team work extremly well together... and while they do not favor any one attack that i can see they work very well with each other and cover each other better then anyone else in the team. there still team players... its just there like a shield and a spear.. today elliot... its a guy... had decieded to do mass marine sergents with fully upgraded Ai support... this is using the most basic unit of a terran then upgrading them fully... expensive and most of the time a advanced unit can do the job as well with only half the upgrades
my guess is he wanted the man bonus.. each marine only cost half a slot for controll. so he has 400 marines. David his partner... has all the support you want upgraded medics.. artillary.. anti air. scouts. ghosts with nukes he upgraded all his support systems. but now has fewer men. the nuke itself takes up 8 slots each tank takes up 6 slot his medics take up 3 slots. a ghost=sniper takes up 4 slots. me rattling off these numbers probally does not help you imagine this... however it is a good team.
my cousins send his unit as a sacrifice.. followed up by melly... who sneaks in. finally taylor brings her unit in right behind the cousins. i form up formations of what i have then send them to sit behind the others near the reserve unit amelia is in charge of.. then i go back to moving replacement units to the front lines and doing the handshake that hands off units from me to the combat comanders.
David and Elliot. right now are parked. even though it is our teams turn... after the majority of units are lost and the replacements cant keep filling in the lines. that part will back off with everything they have unless they think they can get some more damage in. Melly for instance.. melly sometimes will leave whole units behind in a enemy base to do damage while she returns to the camp to help me resupply everyone else.. then slowly build her unit up little by little all over again... then david and Elliot charge right into the unit with there fresh supply of jacked up mobs. and it starts all over again... and ill just keep moving mobs from base to the rear lines..handshake them off.
it is now Sunday 1pm... we are all exhausted and strained... its our turn to relax. we lasted longer made three more corridors. bassically we made 4 right turns and have came back the very first initial corridor. now we will move to the second corridor then make two left turns... soon we will need to back out of the dungeon. we will probally throw every attack unit we have into level 7 jump into the busses and trucks pack all the mobile bases we have... then get out.. when we are almost through level four we will then have level four units surge into level five behind us. the guards will then move to the front for level two and one... any building that where left behind on level two and one.. one hour before we return will start creating units. one we reach level two we will follow a string of left behind building that created units...those units will actually spread out and initate fights with mobs in the area as we swing through.
all command centers and nexus are with us however... all probes and scvs are with us as well. we are not going to be creating any more building after all... those got loaded at 2pm... we could have loaded them sooner we mostly been busy playing. at 6 o clock we sent all building on level five orders to build like crazy.. these mobs are not even moving far from the building just to rally points... they stand around doing nothing...
we double check everything that we need to take back is on the checklists. some people you can see the relief... sinse all nexuses where built on the truck we just had to make certain that all command centers are on the flatbeds... easy enough... we do a quick count of heads.. then we do a quick count of probes and scvs..
everything there that needs to be there... we send the orders for all units to advance. gather tablets.. put those in the truck.. everyone but the guards will not need tablets anymore... we roll down to level four.. gather the 16 players there. gather scvs and probes the few command centers and the two busses that were left here... roll down to the doorway of 3.. gather there tablets.. send the orders for level four attack mobs to move to level 5, while we grinded our way to level seven are last stronghold was level five.
we stroll through level two rarely do the guards actually have to even use a real spell. from two to one.. there nothing we need to collect... once the building finish there order of units to be built.. they will just stick around for a bit.. untill a dungeon mob destroys the building... which should not be long at all .. probally less then half a day..two to level one.. and out with 15 minutes to spare.
we pull out of the dungeon park the trucks store the nexuses onto the flat beds that where on the busses.. then go into the adminstartion office.. since all i took was the gathered cores of the dungeon monsters. which while impressive in quanity was not anything major... we are sitting there waiting when out of a inner office the mercs come out with quiet a few les in number some of the household guards are with the mercs... they do not look happy at all.
looking at them i feel like something is missing... then i ignore them... there not bugging me..
looking in the lobby you will see a very animated crew sitting there talking aloud and having fun with a few people with exhausted smiles.
On travis crew there is approximantly 35 out of 100 walking out... yet there no travis and only about 6 household guards... in fact of the mercs only a few of them have advanced level plates.
i won the duel... also while waiting they go to the chaple.. to pick up the ones who died in the dungeon up.. however since me and travis could not carry in a resurecction necklace.. obviously he wont be coming back...
Some reason i not really happy about this... to die for such a stupid reason... well idiots die for idiot reason.
i go in to the office and there i get the bill for the use of dungeon mana.... i almost died... the price was astronomical... we had to pay in mana cores with our own mana... to put it simple we have a payment plan.. and we also everyday have to come by and dump mana for the dungeon to obsorb...
3 weeks later and i graduated... every day eveyone except the people i invited like the massage therapist and the cooks the pit crew have to drop mana.. David and Elliot also help out... however they need to find a job actually want to hire them... because there good.. and we will eventually want them for when we dive into the insane dungeons....
we still have to keep paying in mana for 2 whole monthss...hehehehe i over did it... and karen not happy either however no one ever thought about how many units of mana we were sucking out of a contract dungeon for fun... this is the biggest problem with a parasite offensive. you cant use it in tamed or contract dungeons and come out with a profit...we have to go to the most dangerous dungeons to use our methods...
we need to improve house hold troops and mobs... we really need better mobs in the future...
