"My son, what's wrong? Are you having a nightmare? Why the scream?" Ella's mom asked Ella's younger brother who was screaming loudly as he slept.

His mother had guessed right. Ella's brother, Tom, had a nightmare that he couldn't figure out what it meant. The nightmare as he narrated to his mother went as follows. That day he had decided to visit his sister, Ella in the city. Ella was greatly disappointed with his coming as he was like someone who had come to ruin her plans.

On his arrival, Ella pretended not to recognize him. She didn't answer his greetings. She went on with her task. Hom had never received such a cold welcome by her sister. He even used to visit her at different times even during the weekend. She was always happy about his presence. Tom felt that the unwelcoming was a sign that his sister was tired of him and wanted him out of the house sooner. What perplexed him was that Ella was packing things. It was like she was to go for a journey. Maybe a date which Tom suspected. Questions still flowed in Tom's mind. He kept wondering how someone had managed to win his sister's trust that easily.

Ella on the other hand had mixed feelings, perhaps, that of going for a first date with a man of his dreams and then that of betraying his brother by disappointing him and wishing that he could leave to let her plans go through. She never wished to ruin her first date. And she never wanted her brother to accompany her for the date. She always knew that her brother was so concerned with her safety and could never let her alone with a stranger.

Tom wanted to see her reaction. He left for the fridge and took some juice packets.He came with them to the living room. He thought his eyes were playing games with him. He couldn't see his sister, nor suitcase nor handbag. She had already left. She was approaching the main gate.

Tom packed the juice packets in a hand bag and left hurriedly to where she headed. When she boarded a taxi he also did. When she got out of the car, he also got. Tom was shocked to see that the man who was snatching him his only sister, was none other than Tearless. The guy who was his workmate in the Elite scientists team. He watched as they smiled at each other and then hugged each other. This is when he spotted for the first time his sister doing that. It was also her first time wearing a short dress that reached above the knees.

They walked to Tearless' apartment where Tearless had organized a party for their first date and leave for a camp that night. Other boys also came with their girlfriends. This shocked Tom as he never thought of Tearless having friends but then he saw them. They were there with him. Chatting like long term friends. Tom thought he was just dreaming. Before they had left for the night camp in a nearby town that evening, Tearless told Ella that he got a surprise for her. Ella smirked. She only saw this things in soap operas. She felt as if she was one of the ladies in soaps. She was greatly elated. As usual she didn't jump up and down to show her elation, instead she always smirked or smiled to display her pearly white teeth.

They walked to a balcony from the back door of Tearless' apartment. She closed her eyes and when she opened her eyes she couldn't believe what her eyes saw. A colorful boat that floated in the air was what she saw. Her eyes widened as she put her palms on her face and smiled. She then hugged him. Tearless then suggested that they would give it a try before the others. The moment they all stepped into the boat, something strange happened. A bright light struck and then darkness started dissolving their boat. They yelled for help but it came untimely. The darkness managed to consume them into it just before Tom and the friends reached the venue. They were gone forever.

Ella's mother was shocked with it. She felt that her daughter had began going astray from her maker. As per the dream she thought her daughter had turned to practice the worldly life and shed off all the morals she had induced into her. She dialed her phone number to remind her on what she was to do. Another shock hit her when she was informed that Ella had left Enkare for Yolk city. To her the Yolk City was a very bad place which had no morals at all. She hanged up the phone in despair when her daughter told her that she had gone there for a business. Due to her heart problems, she collapsed and Tom was to rush her to the hospital as their father had left for a business trip.

It was unusual to see Ella awake at the time. Especially after midnight. But she was woken up by screaming Tearless. Tearless also had a nightmare, a strange one. It was like a continuation of Tom's dream. He dreamt of being chased by darkness. As they escaped they heard someone cry.

Tearless floated to where the scream came from. He found a young woman. She was struggling to escape from darkness that was already consuming her companions. Tearless moved faster to where she was. He pulled her away from the darkness and moved floated across the vacuum to a nearby rock. Ella stood there. Darkness was also chasing him faster like a ferocious animal that has seen it's prey.

They managed to escape, though tired as the strong pull from the darkness ensured they use their strength to the fullest.

Tearless for the first time helped someone. He was even shocked on what he did. He screamed loudly.
