Project brainstorm

Project brainstorm

Ella, Tearless, Thesis, and two others sat around a round glass table. They looked forward to ending up in a single decision. Something they had never achieved since the club was formed. To prevent them from escaping, the room was sealed completely except for air-letting holes. Outside, thousands of tens of guards stood. No one was allowed to enter. And no person was allowed to leave the conference room. Their GPS maps could show that they were still in the big city of Yolk. This conference room was not named, but it was found a few meters from the Central Business District. People could be seen walking outside from the large glass windows that shone bright sunlight into the room earlier when they had arrived. Sunlight, which enhanced the vivid view of the room apart from flowers that were artistically arranged on the glass tables in the room. A big poster written on it, "Flowers reduce fright in a discussion," was put on the side of the main door.

Thesis began unplucking the flowers, leaving only the green plants. He then began unplucking the flowers and scattered them on the tiled floor, which was covered with a red carpet on the walkways and where chairs were. He then took his liquor bottle that was still almost full. He sipped the liquor once and cleared his throat. He then took another bottle filled with a liquid. A smell of methylated spirit filled up the room as he poured it on the table. He put some liquor into his mouth and blew it from the mouth as he lit a match. Why hadn't he carry a lighter? He ended up lighting a fire on the table, which began burning up all of the plants on the table.

An ugly scene is what they saw. An agent of the president together with hotel officials came in. They were angry so much with it. Before they said a word, Thesis poured some of the alcohol in the bottle that had spirit in it. He lit the fire and threw it down on the carpet. A smell of burning fuel and plastic filled up the room, replacing the mixture of the burning, scented plants. The agent and the manager hurriedly put out the fire before the carpet could be burned.

Then Thesis began to speak, "Why should we discuss destruction in a built room? Why shouldn't we go to the ruins? Should we sit in a nice room talking about killing our own friends? The flower plants are our friends. We have unplucked the things that gave them value. It didn't end there. We went on with the destruction. We burned them and even destroyed where they will be buried. And that's what I'm doing now."

All the burned flowers were removed from the room. Thesis began drinking from the bottle. That time not sipping. After a few minutes, the bottle was almost empty.

He asked everyone to give their view. They were to propose a weapon that they could think would make for the president in exchange for their release. Though he told them to suggest and promised that they could leave the moment the project would be ready, his conscience connected with experience made it clear to him that it was only mind games by Adolf. He would just keep them in the cells to be using them anytime he needed.

Everyone gave his own view on the type of weapon to be created. Others recommended a bacteria that will feed on everything, including the things that are biological or non-biologic, turning them into their smallest forms. Others thought of microbombs that would be sneaked into food and make it explode while in the stomach or the intestines.

The time for Thesis came. He combined all the ideas into one. He thought of a machine that uses nanotechnology to suck up matter, turning it into its simplest forms. With that, he was sure even nuclear weapons and vacuum bombs wouldn't be a threat to Adolf's administration.

He thought of making the weapon fully undetectable. From the satellite radars to the residential scanners at the gates of rich men's mansions. But how will they make it? The weapon, though would consume lots of resources on their construction, would be reused up to a thousand times. This meant that Adolf and his team will only need one weapon to induce fear in them.

Though he had come up with such a kind of super weapon, he still had fears about what would be their fate. He never thought of having hope to get out of there. Evil men never let go of those who do what they want, is what was ringing in his mind. He took his bottle, sipping some alcohol in it, as they waited for Annette to finish typing the project's abstract into the laptop they were given to keep records of their meeting.

Then the agent, together with the manager, came. They were smiling. Their mission would be easily accomplished. They all knew that all of the solutions and resolutions the Elites made were a hundred percent on to be implemented.

"You are free to roam anywhere in the world. But, under one condition, you will have to complete your project and make sure our plans succeed. Failure of the plan will lead to lifetime imprisonment without trial. Hope I'm clear," the agent said.

After the agent left, the manager sat in front of them. He was extremely sad with the team's agreement to work with the new government, whose aim was to destroy mankind's freedom by enslaving it. As he imagined how his free will would be tampered with, tears began rolling down his face, wetting the beards on his cheeks. His eyes became red. Tearless wished to comfort him, but he couldn't. On the other hand, Ella wondered how such a big man could cry in pain.

Thesis never cared most of the feelings of others. "Could you have some liquor? It's going to dry up your tears. Don't worry about us. They won't manage to kill us after the project. I know that's what is disturbing you," he said, pushing the liquor bottle to where he sat.
