Moonlit Black Cats

“You’re a smurf aren’t you?”

Thinking about it for a while, Nem did have to admit that as someone who’s played games professionally before he did have an advantage over other players, however, he’s never played Mob Ringler before so...

“No, it’s actually still my first week playing.”

The woman started to pout as she said, “C’mon, there’s no way you’re just inherently this good at games.” As she was talking she threw her hands out in frustration. Not knowing what to say, Nem chose to remain silent as he uncomfortably scratched his cheek.

After a while, the woman gave up trying to pry out a “confession” from Nem. “Whatever, smurf or not, you’re really good at this game and from the looks of it, if you were to be left alone you’re talents would be wasted. So, how about joining my guild?”

There were no initial losses to joining the guild. Once he joined, he would gain all the benefits of being in a guild and since the guild wasn’t a big one, he would be able to leave at anytime without them stopping him, given he became stronger than the leader of course. Also, Nem couldn’t pass up that “bonus” she was talking about.

Stolen story; please report.

It seemed that every time Nem thought about that “bonus” his cheeks would flush with redness. Although what he’s thinking was as much as a mystery to the woman as it was to the readers. After hesitating a little more, Nem decided that he couldn’t possibly pass up the resources a guild could offer. “Alright. I’ll joi-”

“Really you will? Ok, you said it yourself, there’s no going back ok?” Enthusiastically, the woman started making a few hand motions that looked like she was going through an invisible menu that only she could see. After a short while, Nem received a notification asking to join ‘Black Neko Moon’.

Sighing helplessly, Nem accepted the invite and officially joined ‘Black Neko Moon’. He had a feeling that he was going to be wrapped up with them for a while. Cheerfully smiling and bouncing around, the woman said, “Do your solo quests for today. Let’s meet back here in front of this well at 7 tomorrow, ok?”

The woman joyfully skipped away from Nem and started to go off into the streets, assumably to make preparations for the upcoming day. Just as she was about to turn a corner, her body jerked to a stop as she seemed to remember something important. Hastily turning back, she waved to Nem, who saw the gesture and returned it in kind. “Hey! I forgot to introduce myself! From today on, I’m your new guild leader, NekoFelix! Feel free to call me Neko!” she yelled so that Nem could hear. Having accomplished what she set out to do, she nodded and turned to corner to go who knows where.
