“Yes”
Zikito responded to Hazu eagerly. They both headed out of the house to find an open space- which is just a few minutes walk from their house.
“Kid-.. a… Zikito, yes? I just see potential in your magic so…. Let’s do it here!”
“Sure.”
“What do you know about magic?”
Zikito looked down as he was disappointed- he didn’t know anything about magic.
“Nothing…”
“Well… that shouldn’t be surprising. Let me tell you the basics then. My friend from the city told me that magic can be used in three different ways. One is manifestation.”
Hazu poems his palm as he formed a rock.
“This is called magic manifestation, the most basic use of magic. Next is manipulation.”
Hazu twists his finger around as he smoothes the rough-surfaced rock.
“This way, you can shape the rank the way you want it. I don’t know about nullification nor techniques… they’re quite hard.”
“That’s alright Hazu! I’m really thankful that you made time for me!”
Hazu looked at Zikito as he was very surprised.

“Well-well,,, it’s just the basics… really….”
“Can you teach me more?”
“Well… sure..”
“There’s a higher form of magic utilization which is a combination of manifestation and manipulation, spellcasting. I don’t even know how it works- even scholars don’t fully understand them.”
“Can you do it?”
“If I don’t have the book… I might have a little trouble…”
“But can you show me?”
“Sure, I will. This is gonna be a little hard…. If I recall.. It’s… “
Saxomen Palmae. Reiterate Movens Sinistrae Loci.
The rock in his palm started spinning! Zikito paused as he was amazed by this use of magic. Although… The rock started spinning so fast that it was rapidly consuming Hazu’s mana. Hazu panicked as he tried to stop the spell.
“Uhh…. stop! Stop! No rock stop! Saxon stop! STOPPP.”
“What’s happening-?!”
“STONE STOP! STONE HAND PLEASE STOP! STOP SPINNING! STOP MOVING-!”
Alas, the stone turned into dust and flew midair. Hazu sat down as he was very exhausted, he was panting.
“Ah…. that was a failure…this is why I’m staying as a standard-level mage…”
“No! Don’t say that! You did well Hazu!”
“Heh, I guess I did it. But don’t copy me, you might drain your mana too much….”
Hazu was still recovering from the early occurrence. Hazu chuckled to the accident, and so did Zikito.
“Mhm-. Hahahaha!”
“PFT-!! Really, thanks for teaching me these, Hazu.”
Hazu laid on the grass as he looked at the skies.
“It’s nothing much, I’m staying for a week. I’ll share what I can.”
“Yes, Hazu!”
Zikito and Hazu rested that day- Hazu couldn’t continue. They laid on the grass as they relaxed and enjoyed the view.
