CHAPTER 849 THE WOLF HEAD TATTOO
All of a sudden, Victoria felt that Maximilian was her whole world. She embraced him subconsciously,
who smiled at her, “No sweat. You’ve got me. It will be tackled soon.”
Victoria was actually not that worried. She was grateful that Topyuan Group had come back from the
dead but she didn’t want to experience the blow again.
Maximilian knew it was a face-to-face battle with Dragon Queen but he didn’t panic. Instead, he dealt
with it carefully. According to the information provided by Victoria’s secretary, most of them were well-
known entrepreneurs in H City. Maximilian also knew quite a lot of them. Although he might not make
all of them change their mind, he was confident to make some of them.
Maximilian made a phone call without hesitation. If he could persuade five out of ten entrepreneurs,
then the rest would be on the fence. Maximilian understood that these entrepreneurs were made to set
against him so most of them were harmless to him except those who were hard to convince. Soon
Maximilian found that Topyuan Group’s stock price became much more steady in spite of the attack.
Then he decided to go with the flow and see what Connor and other powers would do. It was a great
comfort to him when he saw the message from Canaan saying, “Master, I’ll pull out all the stops to
support you. I’ve also got my friends to back you up.” He was pretty sure that he had got a good
disciple.
Maximilian stretched himself before he got the call from Connor. “It looks like he has made up his
mind.” He thought and smiled.
“Mr. Lee, why didn’t you tell me what had happened? I’m ready to bring my A-game to support you.”
“Well, I didn’t want to bother you,” said Maximilian ostensibly.
“What are you talking about, Mr. Lee? We are friends.” Connor was totally taken in and more
determined to help Maximilian because he felt that they had been like a package deal since he helped
Maximilian a few days back. Even if he couldn’t make it, he wouldn’t panic with Maximilian around.
It was not long before Victoria saw her company’s stock price rejuvenated slowly. She rubbed her eyes
subconsciously as if she just saw a miracle. When she saw Maximilian back in the room, she couldn’t
help giving him a hug because she knew it was Maximilian who had been helping her secretly.
It was not until then that Maximilian smelled a rat. He found that there had not been any sound coming
from Grace’s room, which was suspicious to him. Upon thinking, he finally knocked on her room.
Maximilian thought she was out. But the door opened and Grace said rubbing her sleepy eyes, “Is
there anything I can do for you?”
“Nope.”
“Oh, right. The woman we met last night is very famous in H City. She’s Jude, right?” asked Grace
unexpectedly.
Maximilian was puzzled for a second, not knowing why she had investigated Jude. On a second
thought, it made sense to him that she found it out since Jude’s identity was not confidential. Besides,
Jude’s name had been on Newspaper with the headline of “The Most Beautiful Policewoman in H City”.
“Why didn’t you tell me about it earlier? I’d love to get acquainted with her. I want to ask her for a favor,”
said Grace excitedly.
At the sight of this, Maximilian had to interrupt her and said, “Please don’t get too hyper. You might
scare her.” Then he rubbed his forehead. He didn’t expect Grace to be so excited. He wouldn’t have
believed that if not for seeing it with his own eyes. Material © .
“Last time when they shot my dad, I only knew that the moving finger had a wolf head tattoo. So I hope
she can look into it,” said Grace with a grin.
“Are you sure you can find it out that way?” said Maximilian in doubt. It was not that he discouraged her
but it was really difficult to find a person among the people in H City with the only clue of a wolf head
tattoo.
Grace sighed, “I feel that the moving finger with the wolf head tattoo must be someone well-known.
Anyway, I have to try my luck.”
Maximilian was touched seeing how eager Grace was to avenge her father. The enemy of his enemy
was his friend. Although Grace was his enemy before, he knew she had her reasons. Plus, the man
with the wolf head tattoo was their mutual enemy. Anyway, Maximilian decided to do his best to help
Grace.
“Thank you!” Grace was so happy that she kissed Maximilian subconsciously.
Maximilian was struck dumb with her enthusiasm. He rubbed his forehead in doubt.
“Um...Take a chill pill,” said Maximilian with a cough. He was really caught off guard by her kiss.
Suddenly, he felt something behind him which was not a good sign. He turned around to find Victoria
standing right behind him.
“Very well,” said Victoria with sarcasm. She was angry because she saw clearly what had happened
which made her jealous.
Seeing this, Maximilian stared at Grace with anger as if he was criticizing her for the trouble she had
caused.
Grace stuck out her tongue awkwardly knowing that she didn’t do it properly just now. She apologized
to Victoria sincerely with her head down, “I’m so sorry. I was so excited just now. It’s a natural manner
in western countries like ours. I hope you don’t mind.”
Victoria was impressed by Grace’s good manner and became less irritated. After all it was just etiquette
abroad to kiss people on their hands. She still pinched Maximilian unhappily though, “Why didn’t you
dodge just now?”
“Please don’t fly off the handle. If I could, I would have. I was struck dumb just now,” explained
Maximilian, sparing no efforts.
Grace was envious of how Victoria and Maximilian interacted with each other and how close the were
to each other.
Maximilian remembered what Grace had entrusted him with and soon he had it done. Jude was highly
efficient and she emailed the file to Maximilian’s phone.
Maximilian opened the file and showed the picture to Grace, “Is it the one?”
At the sight of the picture, Grace nodded immediately, “Yes.” Then she looked at the picture with a
resentful and cold look.
Maximilian sent to Grace the picture and the information about the man with the wolf head tattoo and
asked, “What are you gonna do about it?”
Grace replied coldly, “I’m gonna torture him to death.”
Maximilian thought it was human nature for Grace to say that because Grace had her reasons to
avenger her father.
