135th Adversary: Rampage

Summit Of The Gods.

Tiamat was sitting inside her domain. She was around a table with Ouroboros beside her. Across from her was a man with hair and eyes similar to hers. He has a handsome face and was dressed in azure and gold robes fitting of an emperor.

This was the Dragon God, the master of storms and bringer of rain, Shenlong.

“Shen, I’ll say this again. You, Nidhogg, and Vritra should consider all the consequences before you make enemies out of my clan.”

Shenlong laughed.

“Like I said, Tiamat. I can’t speak for the others but I can’t really tell Tang what to do. He’s a free spirit.”

“Bullshit.”

Tiamat cursed.

“Tia, Calm down.”

Ouroboros held onto Tiamat who slammed her hands on the table.

“Shen, surely you don’t expect us to believe that you have no control over your own Proxy’s actions.”

“Believe what you want, but it is true. Tang has always had things his own way since he was a child, even before he became my Proxy.”

“You were with him from he was a child, yet he wasn’t your proxy?”

Ouroboros asked.

“Well, he is my descendant. Is something wrong with that?”

“You were grooming him from birth haven’t you?”

Shenlong smiled.

“Is it any different from what you two have been doing?”

“I don’t care about any of that. I’m warning you-”

(Mama!)

Tia could suddenly hear Regis’s voice in her head. From the tone, Tia could tell that it was serious.

“What is it, Regis? Did something happen?”

(It’s Miko! He…He’s dying! Tang kidnapped us and then severely hurt him!)

“……..”

Tia remained silent for a while and then looked at Shenlong who had a smile on his face.

And then-

“I’m gonna kill you.”

She jumped across the table. She pounced on top of Shenlong and started choking him.

“Tia!”

Ouroboros tried to pull her off but her grip was tight on Shenlong’s neck. Her eyes were wide open as she slammed his head repeatedly on the ground.

“Tia, let go! Any further than this and you’ll be seen as breaking the peace treaty! If that happens, you’ll be executed by the other higher beings.”

“Then let them! If Miko dies they’ll regret not doing it, because I’ll definitely take my anger out on the world! I still owe them for Augustus and my children anyway!”

Tiamat was serious. She had no intention of releasing Shenlong. She was dead set on strangling him to death right here right now.

“Enough!”

Ouroboros eventually pulled her off.

“Shenlong, you better go before she overpowers me.”

“I’ll take your advice. I forgot how crazy this woman can be at times.”

Shenlong said while rubbing his neck. He started walking away but not before showing Tia one last smile.

“Don’t worry. Knowing Tang he won’t just kill your Proxy like that. I’m sure he has something more fun in store for him.”

He then left leaving Ouroboros to restrain a raging Tiamat.

Grim Academy.

It was more than a week since the Grim Festival had come to an end. It was a very strange one, to say the least.

First, Tang Xian who was seen as one of the favorites to win the Senior Ranking Tournament dropped out of the tournament and the academy without prior notice.

Second, Miko went missing and didn’t turn up for the start of the main tournament. This led to his immediate disqualification. Following that, Luka Flameheart, Hinami Akume, Ace, and Sora Ostinato, who all became favorites after the preliminaries, all dropped out as well. It didn’t end there, Tessa and Kristen Dragna also pulled out of the junior tournament after making it to the semi-finals.

In the end, Klaus retained his #1 spot after beating Zora in the finals. Zora beat Kaido in the first round in a surprisingly underwhelming battle. It’s speculated that his injuries from his battle with Sora had prevented Kaido from fighting with his full strength. Zora was of course angry about this and looked uninterested for the remainder of the tournament and eventually lost to Klaus.

However as weird as it was, it surprisingly wasn’t the talk of the town. It was the fact that Miko was missing. No one knows what happened but there were rumors that he was kidnapped or assassinated by enemies of his clan. This was backed up by the news that Miko’s country, Renacido was attacked and set ablaze.

It goes without saying that everyone was curious about what was happening.

Currently, Kimiko, who was the last one to see Miko, was sitting in the office of Principal Matters. By her side was Momo and in front of her was Principal Matters.

“Madam Kimiko, it’s an honor meeting someone of your status.”

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

“Cut the formalities.”

Kimiko spoke with a sharp voice.

“Where’s my grandson?”

“I’m sorry, but why do you think that I would know where he is?”

“This is your school, your academy. Do you expect me to believe that people were able to infiltrate here without your knowledge?”

“I’m ashamed to admit this but I believe that is the case.”

The look in Kimiko’s eyes became cold as if Principal Matters was already dead in her eyes.

“I’m serious. I didn’t know when these people entered the academy and I didn’t help them in any way. I wouldn’t lie to you.”

“Why? Because you’re afraid of me? Because that doesn’t seem to be the case from where I’m standing.”

“You’re right. I’m not afraid of you, but I am telling the truth. I was ordered to always show you respect after all.”

“By who? My husband?”

Principal Matters shook his head.

“While I respect your husband Nero for all that he’s done, he doesn’t have the authority to order me around.”

He smiled.

“But you’re on the right track.”

“I have no time to play games with you. If you don’t know where he is then you must know who took him.”

“I have an idea but I’m afraid if I call the wrong name the blood of innocents will be on my hands.”

“It’s better theirs than yours.”

Principal Matters nodded.

“I guess you’re right. Then the person I suspect would be Tang Xian.”

Momo’s eyes twitched when she heard Tang’s name.

“Why him?”

“Because the timing of him leaving the academy and Miko’s disappearance is too close to be a coincidence.”

“And?”

“There’s also the fact Tang has strong ties to Dragon Storm which has been beefing with Miko’s Renacido recently.”

*******

“Grandma, do you think he told the truth?”

Momo asked Kimiko. She and Momo had left the principal office and were now walking down the halls.

“The fact that he’s alive should say what I think.”

Kimiko answered.

“We already knew that Tang Xian and Dragon Storm are responsible for Miko’s disappearance. I asked him if he had any idea on who the culprits were to see if he would try and deceive me. He didn’t, which means he gets to live until I find evidence that he’s involved.”

“What about Tiana Draxler?”

“She’s the first one I suspected. However, immediately after I killed the man who sent Miko away, she appeared before me before I could track her down.”

“Really? Then doesn’t that makes her a prime suspect?”

“She’s the one who told me who was behind Miko’s kidnapping….She also seemed upset. Her anger was authentic. It was as if someone close to her was taken.”

“And that’s why you don’t suspect her?”

“That and the fact the way Miko was taken doesn’t fit her style.”

Momo stopped.

“As I thought, you knew her for a while now.”

“That doesn’t matter….Hm? What’s wrong?”

Kimiko asked when she saw Momo answer a phone call with a serious face.

“Those idiots! I told them to not do anything crazy!”

Over at the senior division of the academy, in a classroom in the building for the 4th years. Kaido was sitting in his class taking notes like the rest of his class.

*BAM!*

The classroom door was blown open. Shocked, everyone looked at the doorway. There they saw two girls walking into the class. They were Hina and Luka. Luka had a serious expression on her face. Hina had a blank expression while holding two evil-looking swords in each hand. Her face was blank but her swords were pouring out intense bloodlust.

“You two! What are you doing?!”

The instructor who was in the class shouted.

“We want to borrow the room for a bit.”

Luka answered while keeping her eyes on Kaido.

“Everyone other than Kaido Khan, please leave the room immediately.”

She said.

“What nonsense! This is an academy! I’ll have you know-”

Hina grabbed the teacher’s face. She slammed his head through his table and into the floor so hard that his head was sticking in a classroom on the floor below.

“Let me say this again.”

Luka looked at everyone with a bloodthirsty gaze.

“Everyone other than Kaido Khan, please leave the room immediately.”

As if they were mad ants everyone scattered and exit the room. After the room was empty the girls slowly walked to where Kaido was sitting. Luka took a chair and sat in front of his desk, while Hina stood by his side.

“Why do I feel like a suspect being interrogated by the police?”

“Because that’s what about to happen.”

Luka answered.

“I’ll cut to the chase. Are you in leagues with Tang and do you know where Miko is?”

“What brought this on?”

“Kaido.”

Hina called out to Kaido which caused him to look up and see her emotionless face.

“Do you see this?”

Hina showed Kaido her Apostle Crest and pointed at the crown on it.

“This represents Miko’s life force.”

The crown was barely visible, which meant that Miko was on the brink of death.

“It also represents the little sanity I have left.”

She brought her Crest closer for Kaido to see.

“The moment this disappears, so will the little restraint I have left. In other words…”

Hina stood up back straight.

“If Miko dies a lot of people will die with him.”

“Haha…”

Kaido responded with a nervous laugh before facing Luka.

“To be honest, I don’t know where Miko is nor was I working with Tang. In fact, Miko’s disappearance is a problem for me as well. If you want I could get the Newgate Country to help out.”

Luka looked at Kaido for a while before standing up.

“That won’t be necessary. Sorry for disturbing you.”

She turned around and left. Hina looked at Kaido a bit longer before leaving as well. When they left, Kaido could see some large monsters flying away through the windows.

“What scary women. They had the whole building surrounded in case I made a run for it.”

Kaido sighed and then took out his phone with a serious expression.

“Bloom, we have a problem.”

At the same time, at one of the training facilities.

*Bam!*

Zora was seen breaking through a wall. He rolled on the ground and looked up with blood flowing down his face. He saw someone standing where he broke through the wall. This person looked at him with a mercilessly gaze. This person was Sora who had a spear in his hand and had darkness seeping out of his body.

“I’ll ask again.”

Sora pointed his spear at Zora.

“Tell me everything you know about Tang. If you don’t, I’ll pierce your heart with this spear.”

At the senior cafeteria.

*Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!*

The sounds of gunshot echoed in the building as bullets pierced through the walls and hit anything that was nearby. Ace was in his Gunner Character and was firing his guns at Klaus and his lackeys. Klaus moved through the bullets and occasionally threw other people in the way to save himself.

“You insane bastard!”

He roared at Ace, who ignored him and continued to destroy everything in sight without making a sound. It was as if he was a robot. It was only after tearing down the building did he finally speak.

“First, I’ll beat you to an inch of your life and then have you tell me everything I want to know.”

He changed his gun into a bazooka.

“For Miko, I’ll gladly burn this place to the ground.”

“Ace, stop it!”

As Ace was about to aim his bazooka at Klaus, Momo appeared holding Sora under her arm.

“You guys, I told you not do this over and over again.”

“It was their peer who took Miko. We can’t deny the possibility that they might know something, if there’s even a slim chance of that.”

*BAM!*

Ace fired his bazooka at Klaus without caring about Momo. An explosion of flames devoured where Klaus was. These flames were quickly extinguished by Klaus surrounding himself with water.

“Oh? What a stubborn cockroach.”

Ace changed his weapons again.

“Enough!”

Momo held onto him.

“We just got orders from the Dragna Empire. We’re all to return home to deal with the situation.”

“I don’t take orders from the Dragna clan.”

Ace glared at Klaus.

“The only person I take orders from isn’t here because of these so-called Dragon Stars. They must die.”

“This kid….”

Momo was overwhelmed by Ace’s bloodlust and determination. It wasn’t just him, Sora was the same. It took her violently subduing him to stop him from attacking Zora. It looked like it was going to be the same with Ace.

“Now, now. I think that’s enough.”

A clock appeared under Ace and he froze in place. Momo saw a familiar face appear behind him.

“Aeon.”

Aeon smiled.

“Momo, we have no time to lose so I came to get you.”

Somewhere in the world. Tang Xian was sitting in a room watching a television show.

“I think your people should be going crazy to find me by now. I wonder if they will.”

He received no response. Even so, he continued.

“To be honest, it will suck if they do find us before I prepare the party invitations.”

He stood up and looked behind the couch he was sitting on.

“But I guess it’ll suck for you if they don’t, huh?”

Behind the couch was a capsule shaped machine. Inside the machine, Miko was seen covered in frost with his two swords at his side. His expression was paled and there were still traces of his battle with Tang on his body. It was obvious that he didn’t recover one bit since the battle.

Tang smiled.

“Things are about to become pretty exciting.”
