117th Adversary: Miko In The Academy

117th Adversary: Miko In The Academy

Miko left the administration office after changing. He was now wearing a white blazer with black linings, a white dress shirt with a black tie, black pants, and boots. This was the uniform for the Senior Division's second years.

“Hey, admit it. I look good in uniform.”

He started posing as if he was at a photo shoot.

“Nah, we look better.”

Ace and Sora were dressed in similar clothing, the only difference was the colors. They were wearing white and gold respectively. Ace’s curly orange hair and Sora’s silky blond one stood out because of how they dressed. They did indeed look really handsome.

“I admit the uniform for 4th years does stand out more.”

Miko then turned to Hina who was wearing a white and purple jacket, with a purple skirt and black boots.

“How do I look?”

Hina held up the ends of her skirt with a cute expression.

“I expect nothing less from my high school sweetheart. You’re gorgeous.”

“Hmph. I’m not your sweetheart, but I’ll take the compliment.”

Hina stuck her tongue out playfully at Miko.

“Sora, my brother. It seems that we need to get ourselves some sweethearts too. I feel defeated for some reason when I saw them flirting.”

“I agree with you, Ace my brother. It’s time we get serious and show off our charm.”

The two started striking poses in the middle of the street without a care in the world. For some reason, Miko could hear EDM music playing in his head as he watched them.

“Hey, what about us?”

Then looked at Ishma and Regis who were behind him. They were both wearing the same colors as Miko.

“You two look good. It’s just….”

He stared at Ishma.

“Why are you wearing a male uniform?”

“The day you see me in a skirt is the day Zeus admits that he’s a rapist.”

Miko’s nodded and looked at Regis again.

“So this is what I would look like wearing a girl’s uniform…..I have to admit it fits perfectly.”

Miko started wondering if he looked like he was cross-dressing like Ishma. But he soon buried the thought.

“Alright, let’s go to our dorms.”

They headed towards their dorms while touring the academy and causing a little mischief here and there. By the time they arrived, it was already evening.

“Where were you? I got tired of waiting.”

When they arrived in front of the female dorms, they saw Luka standing with two others girls, Kana and Aya.

“Sorry, we were touring the place.”

Hina answered.

“Oh! Who are these ladies?!”

Ace immediately started approaching Aya and Kana but was blocked by Luka.

“They’re my friends. Please don’t scare them.”

“Princess, do I look like a hoodlum? How can this face scare anyone?”

Ace responded with a laugh.

“Ladies, my name is Ace. A good friend of Miko and his #1 Apostle.”

Ace showed off his Apostle Crest that had #1 on it.

“#1 for now.”

Hina grumbled.

“I’m Sora. I’m also an Apostle but I’m also a well-known singer back at the Dragna Empire.”

(These two don’t waste any time do they? They’re already shooting their shots.)

“I’m Kana, and this is Aya. We’re Luka’s friends and Apostles.”

“Wait, you had apostles?”

Miko asked.

“I have five actually. They’re all at this academy too. They’re all good friends who have supported me since I was a kid. Even though they’re from different countries.”

“Five, huh? That’s one more than me.”

Miko looked at the girls again.

Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author.

“Hm? Do I know you two?”

The girls were about to respond when Ace stepped in.

“No, you don’t Miko.”

“What?”

“Do I know you? You know what!”

He pointed at him and shouted.

“You already have a whole lot of women and yet you’re hunting more?! Leave some for us, you horny bastard!”

“Ace, your jealousy is showing. As well as your ugly side.”

Sora whispered in his ear.

“No, he does know them.”

Luka looked at Miko.

“They were in the Primary Division with us. You really didn’t care to remember your peers back then huh?”

“Really? My memories from back then are a bit jumbled up, so you can’t really blame me.”

Miko shrugged.

“Anyway, it was nice to meet you two again. Hina and Luka, we’ll meet tomorrow.”

“What, we’re leaving already?”

Ace asked.

“Yeah. We need to check into our rooms. Plus there’s something I need to do.”

“Then we can stay. It’s not like we’re living together.”

“Sora, bring the idiot, and let’s go.”

“Wait, Sora! Unhand me! The #2 can’t treat the #1 like this!”

Sora dragged Ace away kicking and screaming. He didn’t care they were causing a scene. They left the female dorms with the girls looking at them weirdly.

“That’s Miko, right?”

“He does seem different from before.”

Kana and Aya mumbled.

“I told you he changed. Anyway, this is Hinami Akume. She’s Miko’s third Apostle.”

“Oh, you’re cute.”

Aya said.

“Thanks, you too.”

“Hina, I’ll show you where your room is. After that, we’ll all talk in my room.”

Hina nodded and started following Luka. She looked back at Miko who was already nowhere to be seen and thought to herself.

(I wonder what Miko had to do?)

After he left, Miko went to his dorm to check-in. To his surprise, someone had already checked into his room. It didn’t take him long to figure out who was it.

“What took you so long?”

The moment he entered his room, he saw Tia laying on his bed and watching his tv. By the way, Miko’s bed was big enough to fit six grown adults.

“Looks like you’ve already made yourself at home.”

Miko walked in with Ishma and Regis and shut the door behind him.

“I take it you were able to check if any other higher beings were here.”

“Yeah. I’ve met with three of them, all dragons.”

“They must be the proxies of those Four Dragon Stars Luka mentioned. Who are they?”

“Nidhogg, Vritra, and Shenlong.”

“Those are really big names.”

“They’re all brats in my eyes.”

Tia didn’t seem the least intimidated by her fellow dragons. Must be the pride of the oldest dragon.

“So are they hostile?”

“They all seem indifferent. Nidhogg always had a bad attitude so he won’t listen to others, Vritra and Shenlong are pretty arrogant themselves, so they also won’t take orders.”

“So, they don’t seem like enemies?”

“I would like to say for now, but they could be enemies who are plotting in secret.”

“So you’re against trying to team up with them?”

Tia nodded.

“Shenlong might not be as bad but Vritra and Nidhogg are malicious beings. They can’t be trusted.”

“Then I’ll take your word for it. I’ll decide which stance I take after I’ve met their proxies. I don’t mind coming to an understanding with them. It’s four fewer heads I need to roll.”

“And if you and them can’t see eye to eye.”

Miko smiled.

“Then it's just four more heads I need to roll.”

The next day. Miko left Tia in his room and exited his dorm. By the way, he, tia, Ishma, and Regis slept together every night, so they continued to do so even here.

“It looks like a good day to smack some bitches.”

Ishma took a deep breath and said.

(She’s being influenced by gangster rap again. She’s going to pick fights today.)

Miko laughed to himself.

“Yo, Miko.”

Ace and Sora came from their dorm dressed in their uniforms.

“Our first day of school is about to begin. Any advice?”

Sora asked.

“If you’re going to kill someone make sure to hide the evidence.”

“…..What kind of place is school in your eyes?”

“Just be careful. Now that you’re my apostles, my enemies are now your enemies. Who knows how many of my enemies are lurking about?”

“We’ll take that to heart.”

“Hey guys.”

Hina and Luka could be seen approaching them.

“It’s my first day attending school. I’m so excited.”

“Just be careful.”

“Don’t worry. Anya and Kana will be in her grade. I’ve asked them to help her out if anything.”

Luka said.

“Hina, if anyone bullies you, just tell your big brothers. We’ll handle it.”

Sora said.

“That’s right. We’ve already found a great place to bury the bodies.”

Ace added.

“…..Seriously, What kind of place do you guys think a school is?”

Luka sighed. She and Miko parted with the others and headed toward their grade.

Grim Academy was divided into several sectors. The Senior Division had the largest sector. All five grades had their own buildings which were miles apart. They also had their own recreational centers and training facilities. The only thing they shared was a cafeteria and combat fields.

When Miko and Luka arrived at their respective grade building, Luka turned and spoke to Miko.

“It’s great that they put us in the same class. That way I can make sure you don’t cause too many problems.”

“Problems? I’m a well-behaved individual.”

“Yeah, keep telling yourself that.”

They entered the building and immediately caught the attention of a lot of the students.

“It’s Luka.”

“So the rumors of her returning were true.”

Luka was the one the focus on. Everyone watched her every move ignoring Miko.

“It looks like they think we’re your servants?”

He whispered with a mischievous smile.

“Hey, who’s that? She’s beautiful. But why is she cross-dressing?”

“See Ishma? People can easily tell that you’re a girl.”

“Hahaha! I think they’re talking about you.”

Miko paused for a bit before laughing.

“There’s no way.”

“That girl’s azure hair is so beautiful. I wonder what kind of haircare she uses?”

“Hahaha!”

Ishma burst out laughing while pointing at Miko.

“Quiet down the both of you. We’re about to arrive at our class.”

Luka directed them to the class which became quiet when they walked in. Luka looked around a little before taking a seat.

Miko, however, didn’t move.

“What’s wrong?”

Luka saw him and called out to him which drew everyone’s attention. Miko looked around with a frown and then said-

“Are these really people our age? I know that we’re far ahead of our peers but I never expected them to be this far behind.”

“?!”

Miko’s words immediately enraged his classmates.

“What was that?!”

“Who do you think you are?!”

“Everyone, calm down.”

At that moment, Momo walked in. She immediately glared at Miko.

“You haven’t even taken your seat yet and you’re already causing trouble.”

“It’s a pure and honest question. I was merely surprised by the gap between us.”

The sounds of teeth grinding echoed through the classroom.

Momo sighed and stood in front of the class.

“Hello, everyone. I will be your homeroom teacher and instructor in magic and spells, Momo Dragna.”

She then pointed at Miko.

“This is your new classmate, Gamiko Dragna the third. You can call him Miko.”

“?!”

The students’ faces were covered with shock when they heard the introduction. Those who were familiar with Dragna Clan had already speculated that Miko and Momo could be members of the clan, but none of them could’ve guessed the Miko who everyone was talking about would come here again.

Miko smiled and waved at his classmates who were lost for words.

“Sup, bitches.”

From his greeting alone everyone knew Miko was here to cause trouble.

He, Regis, and Ishma straightened their ties with huge grins on their faces. And then-

“Until I find out who is targeting my siblings, you’re all my enemies. So I hope we all get along.”
