Camren: “URGH! We’ve been looking around the whole library, and we haven’t found any way in Eva! Can we just go to the amusement park?! What happened to you being so reluctant to come here anyways???”
Evangeline: “Well we walked all the way here! It’d be a waste! Please… and you said all those amazing things about the library! You got me interested!”
Camren: “BUT THERE ISN'T A WAY IN-”
*Creak
Camren: “Shhh!”
Evangeline: “Woah! Wha-”
Camren: “Wait, let’s stay here real quick.”
Evangeline: “But why in the bushes?”
Camren: “Someone just came out that door.”
Evangeline: “B-but that doesn’t look like the main door, nor one that people use normally…”
Camren: “Y-yeah… it isn’t… what’s going on here,”
Evangeline: “Sh-sh-should we go now? Y-yeah, now that I think about it, l-let’s go to the amusement park… Hey Cams!”
Camren: “Something’s off. The library is never closed even if something was in maintenance, not even when a part of it is reserved. From what I can remember, that door has never been used by anyone, but… two people just came out of it. Eva we-”
Evangeline: “Nooooonononononono if you’re about to suggest what I think you’re going to…”
Camren: “You can stay out here then, keep watch. I’ll be right back.”
Evangeline: “Wait! You’re not leaving me alone either!”
Camren: “T-then what do you want to do???”
Evangeline: “Not go in there! Forget about this! Let’s just, continue with the treasure hunt! You said we should save as much time as we could, right?”
Camren: “The guy…”
Evangeline: “?”
Camren: “The guy didn’t lock the door.”
Evangeline: “NO! We’re not going!... CAMREN!”
Camren: “Just as I thought, it really isn’t locked…”
Evangeline: “Please Cams, I’m scared…”
Camren: “Trust me, we’ll leave as soon as something feels off.”
Evangeline: “Fine! Y-you better not leave my side!”
Camren: “You don’t leave my side! I’m not going anywhere!”
.
.
.
Evangeline: “H-hey, Cams…?”
Camren: “Are you going to ask why it’s so dark? I don’t know, like everything, it’s usually not like this…”
Evangeline: “N-no not that, we’re in the main lobby right?”
Camren: “Yeah, with all the windows, I don’t know how it could be this dark in broad daylight.”
Evangeline: “But… Why are all the books like… like why does it seem so messed up in here?”
Camren: “Huh? Oh now that you mention it…”
Evangeline: “You didn’t notice all the books on the floor???”
Camren: “N-No… but man this looks awful, why would someone do this…”
Evangeline: “Do you think, it was those guys from before?”
Camren: “M-maybe… but again… why?”
Evangeline: “I don’t know, but it looks like…”
Camren: “?”
Evangeline: “What if, they were looking for something?”
Camren: “...”
Evangeline: “I mean think about it, the library is where most, if not, all the knowledge is, right? Or at least the information. What if… they were looking for information for something?”
Camren: “Even then… we have the index and search codes… no one would NEED to go out of their way in order to find a book, it’s pretty easy to locate it.”
Evangeline: “Then… but even then, what if it was hidden?”
Camren: “Listen, I really don’t think someone would’ve been looking for a book if this is what they caused. Think about it, anyone can come in and rent out a book easily, and why would the library be locked down? They didn’t even clean it up. Let’s even say, if you were looking for a book and wanted to disclose it to others. Wouldn’t you want to make it as discreet as possible?”
Evangeline: “I-I guess that makes sense…”
Camren: “But even so, nothing would justify this… This is terrible.”
Evangeline: “Let’s get out of here, Cams. I’m getting a bad feeling just standing in the middle of the lobby. Even if we stay here, would we really find out why? Let alone your clue for the treasure hunt?”
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Camren: “I- Hm… I guess that’s true.”
Evangeline: (Oh speaking of which, I still haven’t given him the note! Would it be alright if I took a peak? I mean, we’re both gonna know eventually anyways! Just taking a sneak peek here~ ?!? What… What the hell is this…)
DON'T GO TO LIBRARY DON’T GO TO LIBRARY DON’T GO TO LIBRARY DON’T GO TO LIBRARY DON’T GO TO LIBRARY
IT’S FREE, THE EXPERIMENT IS LOSE!!!
Evangeline: (WHAT IS THIS!?!? W-)
Camren: “Eva? Hey Eva!”
Evangeline: “AHHHHH!”
Camren: “Woah calm down! Are you ok?”
Evangeline: “C-C-C-C-Cammy! L-let’s get out of-”
*Distant rustle
Evangeline: “Cammy?”
Camren: “Y-yeah… I heard that too…”
Evangeline: “We-”
Camren: “Yeah, we go, NOW!”
Evangeline: “WHERE DO WE GO?!?!”
Camren: “THE FRONT ENTRANCE! JUST OPEN THE DOOR!”
Evangeline: “WASN’T IT LOCKED?!?”
Camren: “YOU CAN UNLOCK IT FROM THE INSIDE! HURRY I WANNA GET OUT!!!”
Evangeline: “UH UH! I-I CAN'T OPEN IT!!!”
Camren: “MOVE! LET ME DO IT!”
*Click
“IT’S OPEN!”
Camren: “GO GO GO GET THE FUCK OUT!”
Evangeline: “Camren!”
Camren: “Close the door! Close the door!”
*Creak
*Slam!
Camren: “Ha ha… ok-”
Evangeline: “WHAT WAS THAT-”
Camren: “Shut up! You forgetting that we’re-”
Evangeline: “Y-y-y-yeah! But! You’re telling me that that was normal???”
Camren: “No it wasn't! Let’s go somewhere to talk about this more, we should really-”
Evangeline: “A-are we we we safe?!? Is it going to follow us??? What, WHAT WAS THAT!?!”
Camren: “I don’t know! I don’t know either Eva! Also keep it down!”
Evangeline: “I can’t help it I’m sorry! You can’t blame me!!! I-”
Camren: “Shhh! Listen, listen to me. People are starting to notice us on the general chat. If we keep yelling and making ourselves noticeable like this, they’re going to start asking questions.”
Evangeline: “W-what happens if they find out? Is it that bad?”
Camren: “I’ll tell you later bc we just cannot stay out here and keep talking! So for now let’s-”
Evangeline: “Let’s go back to your house!”
Camren: “Y-yeah I was going to say that too- Ow! What was that?”
Evangeline: “That’s for lying to me…”
Camren: “Lying to you? What?”
Evangeline: “You said we’d leave as soon as something seemed off! The books!”
Camren: “I-I’m sorry… I just…”
Evangeline: “Apology NOT accepted! Anyways! Let’s go home, I want to know if your teacher is there by now.”
Camren: “I highly doubt that she is. It’s only 1 right now.”
Evangeline: “We stayed in there, WAY TO LONG!”
Camren: “I know I know! I’m sorry ok?! I’ll buy you more ice cream…”
Evangeline: “... Fine, but I’m being serious, I wanna go back to your house for a bit.”
Camren: “Sounds good, I want to as well. Let’s take a breather from the treasure hunt…”
Evangeline: “So, how long will it take to go to your house?”
Camren: “Um, a bit longer than what we’ve walked so far. Maybe 20 minutes on foot? It’s on the other side of the city block.”
Evangeline: “20 minutes of walking??? That’s way too long!”
Camren: “Then would you rather fly?”
Evangeline: “Wait, you can fly here too?!”
Camren: “I was being sarcastic! Now let’s get going.”
Evangeline: “Now now Cams, we’re outside remember~”
Camren: “... I hate you. You’re really able to crack jokes like that after what just happened?”
Evangeline: “If you’re able to be sarcastic, then I get to make jokes to lighten the mood a bit. Listen, I’m still shaken by it, so let me try and help myself ok?”
Camren: “I guess that’s valid, oh watch out for that crack, that’ll break your ankles bad.”
Evangeline: “Wow that would've been awful, thanks! Wait a minute, can’t you just ask Ms. Han if she’ll be there right now?”
Camren: “How? Remember, my Transmitter is still broken.”
Evangeline: “Oh yeah… Speaking of which, when are you getting that fixed?”
Camren: “Oh right, apparently my parents were going to have it fixed for my birthday, so I should have it working again soon.”
Evangeline: “That’s great! I can only imagine how useful that thing would be to talk to other people.”
Camren: “Yeah, it is pretty handy.”
Evangeline: “I’m beginning to think… how you take things for granted a bit Cams…”
Camren: “Literally how? How do I seem that arrogant?”
Evangeline: “Well, your family cares enough to set up this whole day long event for you, and they’re willing to get you a butterfly, and on top of that, they’re getting your Communicator fixed! I can only hope that that isn’t too expensive of a procedure.”
Camren: “Well, to replace the Transmitter it’s around $300 last time I checked,”
Evangeline: “Do-do you see what I mean…?”
Camren: “I’m not taking it for granted! I promise, I love my family and all that they do for me!”
Evangeline: “Haha, I know I know, I was just messing with you. Listen Cams, I know you’re a good and kind hearted person.”
Camren: “Th-thank you? I guess?”
Evangeline: “Buuuut, I can’t help but mess with you~”
Camren: “... Anyways, we’re only 10 minutes away.”
Evangeline: “Already?”
Camren: “I told you, it wasn’t that bad, right?”
