Ms. Han: “Ms. Evangeline, I-”
Evangeline: “Y-you can call me Eva! Also my last name is Marline”
Ms. Han: “Ms. Marline-”
Evangeline: “Nope! Just Eva is fine!”
Ms. Han: “I’m sorry, I just feel like I need to address you in a proper way…”
Evangeline: “Th-there’s really no need! Is this what Cammy felt?…”
Ms. Han: “Are you sure? I believe I was extremely rude to you, and I feel so embarrassed after what happened,”
Evangeline: “It’s alright really! And it’s completely ok! I mean… you also told me to call you by your first name, right?”
Ms. Han: “Oh gosh, that does sound a bit hypocritical of me, I’m so sorry.”
Evangeline: “Please don’t be sorry OR worry about it, you didn’t do anything wrong!”
Ms. Han: “... I-if you say so… But even still…”
Evangeline: “NOPE! We’re done with this! If anything…”
Ms. Han: “?”
Evangeline: “I believe you still owe me some explanation, don’t you think?”
Ms. Han: “That’s right, what is it that you’re curious about?”
Evangeline: “Wellllll just a couple of stuff I asked you earlier like, how do you know my name?”
Ms. Han: “Oh, I have a tracker and a microphone inside Camren’s Communicator! I made sure to keep an eye on him just in case something ever happened.”
Evangeline: “A-a tracker… and a…”
Ms. Han: “Believe me, I didn’t want to invade Camren’s privacy, however I wanted to make sure he was safe, so I mainly made use of it when he was outside of his house, o-or most of the time. I-it was only for his safety I promise!”
Evangeline: “Uh huh… So you knew of our conversation, and…!”
Ms. Han: “? What’s wrong? Oh, are you worried about your guys’ school trespassing?”
Evangeline: “So you did know…”
Ms. Han: “Of course I do! After all, this isn’t Camren’s first time sneaking in.”
Evangeline: “I’m sor- We’re sorry…”
Ms. Han: “It’s alright my love, I know you were dragged into it haha.”
Evangeline: “Kinda? But even then… Anyways! Back to the topic, your last note to Cams…”
Ms. Han: “Oh that? I simply wrote that to scare you and Camren, it was probably quite corny but-”
Evangeline: “N-no that’s not what I meant, wait- so that was a joke? There wasn’t anything to it?”
Ms. Han: “No, there was indeed a hint hidden within the note, why do you ask?”
Evangeline: “Well how do I… We went inside the library.”
Ms. Han: “Right, I was confused when you mentioned that. Wasn’t it closed today?”
Evangeline: “Something… Oh! You said there’s a microphone on Cammy’s Communicator right?”
Ms. Han: “Yes… there is.”
Evangeline: “I’m assuming you didn’t hear what happened then, does it also record audio?”
Ms. Han: “Yes, but what are you talking about?”
Evangeline: “Here, can you access it?”
.
.
.
Ms. Han: “O-oh my… What is this?”
Evangeline: “We don’t know, but besides this, I heard that the library is never closed. Do you know why it is now?”
Ms. Han: “I wish I knew myself, but I do not know either. It truly is unusual. What Camren said was true, even in maintenance, the library remains accessible to the public, and has never been closed before.”
Evangeline: “Do you know anything about the two men coming out of the backdoor? We went inside, and we somehow found our way to the main lobby, couldn’t see much because everything was so dark.”
Ms. Han: “Well I’ll say, it may not have been the best idea to go inside an unknown door just because 2 random people came out of it…”
Evangeline: “THAT WASN’T MY CHOICE! YOU KNOW THAT-”
Ms. Han: “Shhh, I understand, and I was just messing with you. The door you speak of, did it have a gold frame around it?”
Evangeline: “Um… huh, now that you mention it, although it was mostly covered with moss and vines it DID have some gold on it!”
Ms. Han: “So I thought, it may have been a door to the basement of the library.”
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
Evangeline: “Yeah I didn’t know where the heck we were…”
Ms. Han: “But going back to the books on the floor… I don’t understand how that could be,”
Evangeline: “Neither do we. We thought it may have been someone looking for something.”
Ms. Han: “Yes I see that, however, like how Camren mentioned, there are much more effective ways of going about finding a book.”
Evangeline: “Right…”
Ms. Han: “Unless…”
Evangeline: “?”
Ms. Han: “It wasn’t a book they were looking for.”
Evangeline: “What?”
Ms. Han: “Well that may be. Unless you’re thinking of a big scary monster that did it.”
Evangeline: “N-no… of course that wouldn’t be the case.”
Ms. Han: “There really isn’t a reason to make a mess of the library, even if you were looking for something that wasn’t in the system. How awful of them…”
Evangeline: “What could they have been looking for…”
Ms. Han: “I’m also curious about that noise you guys heard, do you think someone else might have been in the library with you guys?”
Evangeline: “D-d-d-d-don’t scare me like that…”
Ms. Han: “Well you guys are out now,”
Evangeline: “Still, the thought is enough to give me the chills,”
Ms. Han: “Well if people were inside before, there is a possibility you guys were not alone. Anyways, I will make sure to look into it with the city council, the school board does have direct access to the committee. Don’t worry, it’ll all be figured out.”
Evangeline: “Well there must be security cameras inside the library, I’m sure it couldn’t be that hard to find out what happened.”
Ms. Han: “No of course, like I said, it’ll be resolved. What we must focus on for now however…”
Evangeline: “Oh right, I'm sorry we took a bit too long, where are we going to get Cammy's gift?”
Ms. Han: “I know just the place.”
.
.
.
Evangeline: “A pet shop? Oh right, you would know what he wants…”
Ms. Han: “Well let’s head inside, but why do you say that~? Is it because of me listening into your guys’ conversations or-”
Evangeline: “I get it, you stalk Cams.”
Ms. Han: “Oh? But I thought you were the one who followed him to his house?”
Evangeline: “... It’s a bit different don’t you think?”
Ms. Han: “That’s right, how could I forget. You followed him because you have feelings for him~”
Evangeline: “Wuh-WHERE THE HECK DID THAT COME FROM??? I-I’m trying to watch myself here…”
Ms. Han: “Hehe, I may be only a bit older than you, but I am a teacher after all. I see it all the time, a student’s feelings for another student, you can’t fool me Ms. Marline.”
Evangeline: “W-well, aren’t you projecting yourself here Ms. Han?”
Ms. Han: “What could you mean-”
Evangeline: “I mean, are you sure you’re not saying that to not cover up, the fact that you have feelings towards Mr. Camren yourself???”
Ms. Han: “May I remind you Ms. Marline, not only the legality of that matter, but how highly inappropriate that would be of me to have such romantic feelings towards a student of mine.”
Evangeline: “Aren’t you formal with your reply? But you can’t fool me either! I know you have feelings for Cammy as well!”
Ms. Han: “Oh? So you admitted to it?”
Evangeline: “I-”
Ms. Han: “I wonder, if it’s truly alright if he already has someone in his life~?”
Evangeline: “Quit teasing me! There’s nothing between us!”
Ms. Han: “Well to be fair, you were the one who initiated this whole thing.”
Evangeline: “Anyways! Do you know the butterfly he wanted?”
Ms. Han: “If I remember correctly, it was a Haetera piera correct? It has amber-like translucent wings, with eyespots at the end of the wings.”
Evangeline: “Huh, is it that one over there then?”
Ms. Han: “Let’s see, yes that would be it!”
Student: [Hello Ms. Han!]
Ms. Han: [Oh why hello Julia! What are you doing here?]
Student: [I’m just going around looking for a new pet for my sister, it’s her birthday this upcoming Saturday!]
Ms. Han: [Oh my! Make sure to tell her that I wish her a very happy birthday! How old is she going to be turning?]
Student: [She’s going to be 5!]
Ms. Han: [That’s great! What kind of animal does she like?]
Ms. Han: (5 Years old… that’s how old Camren’s brother was when he went missing…)
Student: [By the way Ms. Han, who is she?]
Ms. Han: [Oh she’s a friend of one of my students, I’m helping her get a present for her friend as well, you see.]
Student: [Oh what a coincidence! I hope you guys buy a good one for them!]
Ms. Han: [You as well! I will see you in school on Monday!]
Student: [See you later!]
Evangeline: “One of your students I’m assuming?”
Ms. Han: “Yes, apparently they were out shopping for a gift for their 5 year old sister as well.”
Evangeline: “That’s nice. So do we just ask the cashier for this butterfly?”
Ms. Han: “We should, shouldn't we? Let me ask him real quick.”
Evangeline: (That’s nice of them. 5 Years old huh… wait, isn’t that…)
Ms. Han: “Alright, I asked the shopkeeper, so he’ll be coming here to pack it up for us.”
Evangeline: “Sounds good, oh by the way-”
*Ding!
Ms. Han: “Oh, excuse me real quick-”
Ms. Han: (!!! What… Th-that can’t be…)
Evangeline: “Is everything ok?”
Ms. Han: “Y-yes, nothing to worry about, however I will need to go ahead and take care of some business for a bit.”
Evangeline: “O-oh alright, should I just head back to Cammy’s house?”
Ms. Han: “That’d be the best, do you know your way back?”
Evangeline: “Yeah more or less, it was the same path I walked with Cams last night.”
Ms. Han: “Perfect, I will see you guys again tonight. I have to get going so,”
Evangeline: “Wait! What do we do about the treasure hunt?”
Ms. Han: “Oh that's right! Like I mentioned earlier, there is indeed a hint inside the note I gave you earlier! Good luck!”
Evangeline: “... I guess…”
Ms. Han: “Ha… ha… ha…”
Ms. Han: (How how how how how how how how how how how how how how how how HOW HOW HOW HOW HOW HOW HOW HOW HOW?!?!?!??!?!??!?!? It actually… no… someone… someone must’ve let it out… this is bad… I have to get to the lab quickly!)
