A scrawny little child, no less than seven-years-old, was being grabbed by the hand, by a boy about fifteen-years-old that had an angry and sad look on his face. Weirdly enough, the child had lifeless eyes, like giving up on living, did not scream or retaliate against this young boy. After a while they have arrived in front an eerily forest, that spelled danger. The teenage boy, carefully let go of the child’s hand, and went on his knee to see the child face to face.

Seeing the child’s lifeless eyes brought tears to this teenage boy, resulting in a warm and lovingly hug. However, the child, showed no emotion and remained motionless, not rejecting or accepting this hug. Slowly the boy stood up and ran away from the child and the forest, while gritting his teeth in anger and tears flowing down his face. The child, looked at the back of the young boy, then turned his attention to the forest behind him.

Knowing his faith of dying, he slowly walked towards the forest cherishing his last moments in life as he was sentenced to death because he was weak, a rare non-cultivator, and for a world full of cultivators, him, being not one is very detrimental to the clan or sect. So, a choice was made, he would have to die, the way of death, was no doubt being feed to the demonic beast. As a world saying goes “Once the beast is feed, Cultivators get stronger” it only translates into one thing, as he gets feed to a demonic beast, it would naturally get stronger and overtime, a cultivator will come and kill, getting its core, and then absorbing the Qi Realm of the beast, in turn making the cultivator stronger.

After, twenty minutes of non-stop walking the child stopped in his tracks as he had heard the howl of a beast he knows all-too-well. In front him; a four legged, dark beast, with a tail made from brown spikes appeared. This demonic beast, was actually a Porciwolf, and judging from the scars on its head and body, it was old enough to determine who to fight with, and who not to fight with. The child with its lifeless eyes and the Porciwolf with its dark hungry eyes, locked on to each other, knowing that only one would live to see another day.

A handsome young boy, with short black hair and eyes, wearing red robes was running through a heavily populated street with much hast and ease. This young boy is also the same one, who had dropped off the child in front of the forest to be devoured by the demonic beast. The boy had a happy expression plastered on his face but, on the inside he was filled with anger and sadness. He personally knew the child, hell! He practically helped raised the child ever since his uncle found an infant in the woods. Now the child he helped raised, he helped get killed.

After a while, the young boy arrived in front of a beautiful, large red mansion, with beautiful and intricate designs. Without stopping in his tracks, he quickly opened the door, which surprised an outgoing servant, and directly headed to the back of the house. Once he had arrived there was, a man, woman, and a young girl about six-years-old, who was in a meditative trance.

“This one greets father and mother” as he arrived in front of them, and respectfully bowing down and cupping his hands together.

“Good, you have just arrived on time” said the man, who looks like the older version of the boy. This man who had serious expression as he looked at the young girl, this man was Zhang Lui. He was the current head of the Zhang Family and an elder of the Spiral Sect, ran by of course the Zhang Family. But, he was not in-charge of the Spiral Sect, it is ran by a mysterious character even he, does not want to offend.

“Honey, you have something on your face” said the slightly chubby woman who had a warm and lovely expression as she kneeled down and started to wipe some of the tears from under her step-son’s face. This woman was Zhao Rin or now Zhang Rin, also known as the second wife of Zhang Lui and step-mother to the siblings Zhang Ki and daughter Zhang Ni. Zhang Rin, hugged her step-son before she stood up to look at her daughter but, not after saying the words “Don’t you dare, expose me unless you want your sister to be married to the most despicable of men”

Hearing that, Zhang Ki’s face immediately turned ugly, ever since his father had re-married and this woman came into their lives, everything turned hell for him. He would have to do “odd jobs” for this woman either threatening him with his father or even worse his sister. And she was also the main culprit as to why he had to bring the young child to the forest to die. It was all because of this devilish woman!

However, knowing for now, he could not do anything, he forced his expression to change that of happiness and looked at his sister, who had a pale expression and was sweating profusely. As he looked at her sister he knows the hurdle she has to overcome, we’ll any child including him had to go through the same process named “awakening”. It was not awakening of the body, dantian or meridian, it was the awakening of the Qi Beast inside the person, to full signify them as cultivators.

Everyone has exactly three weeks to awaken their Qi Beast, once they have successfully constructed their dantian and opened the appropriate amount of meridians, and then establishing their 1st Human Realm Pillar can they only be called cultivators. In those three weeks, that is the best time to connect with one-self and reached out to their Qi Beast, however, should they fail to connect in those three weeks, they would be branded as half-cultivators, for they do not have the inner partner that would rise and fall during their journeys together.

After a while, Zhang Ni’s expression turned lighter as a white orb touched the ground and turned into a beautiful small blood red spider that was pure-red with six dark-black eyes. The spider, awoke from its sleep and climbed its way to the chest of Zhang Ni, entering her dantian. She stood up, and as she did, she was quickly congratulated by Zhang Lui and Zhang Rin, continuously. Zhang Ki wanted himself to congratulate his sister’s success, but other things pre-occupied his mind and as his attention switched from the direction of the forest to his step-mother, killing intent shined in his eyes and even his Qi Beast, a deadly black snake, hissed in delight in thought of killing the woman. But, as a snake, he would wait for the perfect opportunity to strike, he knows that opportunity will come, all he has to do is wait, wait and wait.

A young child stares at the demonic beast, Porciwolf, with no fear, seemly accepting the fate that was bestowed upon him. The child closed his eyes, as he did the Porciwolf, took the opportunity to pounce on the child, bring him to the ground. The child did nor scream or cry as the Porciwolf, bits and chews pieces of flesh from his body. Inside the child’s mind we’re a myriad of memories, replaying within his mind.

One memory was he was with his original family having fun, eating together in the dinner table, and him seeing his siblings practice martial arts. Then, one day, everything turned into hell, a mysterious school attack their home, the attackers all wore grey robes and had swords at hand. Everyone, in his family was killed, and he was only safe through the efforts of his siblings to knock him hard enough and cover him in blood.

When he came too, he was in the hands of an old man wearing red robes, who brought him into his family. At first he was he was distant, that was until a young boy approached him and started to educate and help him learn new things. And things got more excited as the young boy’s little sister joined in and started to play with them. However, things changed when the sibling's mother died and re-married, this, at first glance nice, but really a despicable woman.

And that’s how, the young boy, he considered as a brother brought him into this forest thus into this predicament. In actuality he did not blame the young boy, he was actually thankful. And he did the not hold a grudge against this new “mother” of the siblings either. But, he blames himself for being too weak, at the age of seven he could not practice any meditation technique, much less connect to his Qi Beast, he was simply a cripple, and for that he was sentenced to death.

As the child was loss in his thoughts, his consciousness was gradually getting weaker and weaker by the second, as the Porciwolf slowly takes a chunk of flesh before devouring it. Then, all of a sudden, the sounds of chewing stopped, he felt himself get lifted off the ground, he did not know what was happening, the only thing he does know, is that everything is about to turn black.
