Book 1- Chapter 4- I dentity of the new student

In front of him is a very luxurious door. It is made up of the finest wood with real gold and silver engravings, together with some precious gems embedded on it.

‘It’s quite an extravagant door for a schools head office; there are some hidden spells on it too. They really go all out on this one’ Kin, while still immersed on his thought.

“No wonder she said I can tell once I saw it”

*knock *knock *knock

“Come in” a voice was heard on the opposite side of the door and it slowly opened.

Kin opened the door then entered the room and as expected, the room is filled with expensive looking furniture’s and fixtures.

‘Is it really ok to spend so much? Even I think it is quite excessive to do so’ as Kin looks around, his eyes naturally fell on the person in front of him.

Sitting on an expensive chair with a luxurious table is a blonde haired woman with pointy ears.

“So what business do you have with me?”

“I have a recommendation letter from the council”

Kin approach the head master and give her the letter. At a glance when she look at the letter her right eye twitch a little when she saw the seal placed on it.

“For her to send the letter….” The head master said in a low voice while opening the letter.

After reading the contents, she put down the letter and pondered for a while. She then stares at Kin, examining this youth in front of her who appears to be calm and waiting for her to speak.

“Do you know who wrote this letter?” she asked Kin with a deep and serious tone.

“Yes, it came from gran- I mean from her”

“You should know that this is the first time she did”

“Pardon me from asking but what do you mean first time?” Kin became quite confused.

“What I would like to say is, it’s the first time she personally write a letter of recommendation since she entered the << Great Council>> “

“Does it have any significance if she suddenly did?”

“It seems you are quite close to that old hag”

“Huh? Yeah I guess quite a bit, but to call her old hag” Kin began to smile as he looks down holding his laughter.

“Why can’t I? She is my mother after all”

Kin’s expression suddenly froze as he slowly lift his head and look at her.

“Y- You’re her daughter? Meaning you’re also the descendant of the strongest man?”

“For the people to call him that is something I really hate. If you ask me, he is just an irresponsible man. Dying even before I was born and because of him, the pressure around me is too high”

“Pardon me but may I know why are you saying this stuff to an outsider like me?”

“Do you know what’s written inside the letter?”

“No I don’t”

“The way she wrote the letter, as if you’ve known each other for quite some time. I felt that since you know her and from the way she describe you, I might as well think of you as my younger brother”

“…”

At this moment after he heard those words, His whole body felt a very cold wind that flew by. If you think about it normally, can you consider someone as your sister with a very huge age gap? If Kin is only at the age of fifteen then the head master is old enough to be his great great great grandmother. Well since she is an elf, her looks is already guaranteed and coupled with great figure with a charming face someone might consider but not Kin.

“Do you dislike the idea?”

“No, I mean isn’t it bad since I will be attending this school? I want to have a peaceful school life so if this got out. I will surely have a terrible experience”

“Certainly you would. It can’t be helped then.”

He breathes out a sigh of relief after hearing this. Thinking of all the trouble it will bring especially for those who will want to use him to get closer with the head master.

Considering her mother is one of the members of the council and high ranked among them. Adding to the fact that she is actually a direct descendant of the strongest hero many people wants to get her on their side.

“It is mentioned in the letter that you are an S rank hunter, such a strong lad at such a young age. You don’t look like one too. It is also mentioned that you’re both a <> and an <>. There is also that information that you can be a <> or a <> but was not confirmed since nobody really saw you doing so. ”

“Hooh, it seems that you know quite a lot about me head master”

“More like I should know at least this much, you are quite famous to the point of every noble and organizations wanted to know your real identity. <> is what they call you”

“…”

“Mission completion rate of 100%, untraceable even by the greatest < of the SS rankers which boast her perception and tracking ability. Annihilate a thousand strong hordes of demons on the south alone and thus the incident was later called the ‘thousand miracle’. And there are other accomplishments, if I were to discuss all of those it will take some time to finish. The reason for obtaining the name is because every target just dies like a puppet which strings have been cut, without a trace of your presence or anything to prove it is done by you.”

She then looked at him waiting for him to confirm what she just have said.

“Um, how should I put it…. I’m not that great you know” he began to laugh while scratching his head.

The head master did not retort but instead stand up and walk towards the nearest window.

“Do you know why you are here?”

“Honestly, after a five hour long lecture from the hag she just kick me out and told me to come here. She also set a warning and placed a tracking curse on me so she would know where I am no matter where I go. She’s quite the stalker right? *laughs*”

“…”

Silence fell into the room after he said those words. She recalled that this curse is something only placed on a high profile criminal and those offenders that keep repeating their crimes. It is used to monitor their actions as well as their current location, in case a criminal break out of prison they can easily track them down. As to why her mother placed such a curse to this boy, she became curious but did not know anything behind it. At best it’s better to just let it be and not bother about it at all.

“In seven month’s a school competition will be held and naturally we will also be participating on the said event”

“So you hired a high ranking hunter to win? I don’t think that you’re purpose is as simple as joining such boring event”

“What I ask the council is not someone to represent the school. This request is known to only few members of the council in order to execute such delicate task. By having you though, I did not expect that the person they will sent will be a youth which strength is considered to be top class. So I thought it’s better to let you in and gather information than sneak in and do so.”

“In short I’m the bait”

“Well since mother already prepared this setting, why not exploit it to its fullest”

“So, what’s the catch?”

“For now familiarize yourself as a student and in two months’ time I will let you know everything”

“Too troublesome, can’t you just let me know everything so I can deal with it and then I will be free again to do whatever I want”

“I can’t do that, the situation is too delicate and needs a lot of preparation and you being here is already enough to advance the plan by several steps so please cooperate with us”

“Still it will be faster if I do it now right?”

“It is also mentioned in the letter that if you ever go against our plans, Mother said she will not hesitate to reveal all of your embarrassing secrets to the world”

“…..?!!!………. When do we start, I’m really looking forward in working with you and please don’t worry I will give you my full cooperation in this matter so rest assured”

“…”

She became speechless after his sudden change of heart. She became curious of what kind of secret does the <> have that made him suddenly obedient.

“Tomorrow will be the start of the classes. Since you are already wearing the uniform I believe you’re already prepared for tomorrow and as for the paper works I will personally deal with it. For now I will assign you to a vacant room”

The head master then placed her hand on a small orb on her desk and insert mana into it.

“Please look for a vacant spot in the boy’s dormitory and bring the keys here”

After waiting for several minutes a knock on the door was heard and after permission to enter was given a female wearing a maid outfit entered.

She looked at Kin for a moment then gave the keys to the head master and left.

“Here take this key and go to the boy’s dormitory”

“Um, there is a little bit of a problem though”

“Did something happen?”

“No, it’s not that”

“Will it affect our plans?”

“Um, probably”

“…?!!!.... Did you already cause a major incident that might hinder our plans? That is quite serious you know”

“Like I said it’s not like that”

“Then what is it!”

“I … don’t know where that is”

“Know what?”

“…….The boy’s dorm”

“…”
