Yarya: God's Jester Must Rebel Against God
Dorin, Founder of the Dungeon

Dorin, Founder of the Dungeon

After clearing the first floor of the dungeon, they went up to the second floor. Here Umbriel broke the silence.

"If he is not the king, how can this boy develop so quickly? Too fast even for Cendrians."

When they first met, Ernest was a confident boy. After his battle with Agares, he started to think there were things he couldn't do and became more cautious. Now he was as confident again as when they first met.

Karma and Aurion had noticed this change. So they kept their silence. After all, they didn't know exactly what kind of person Ernest had become, what had happened to him while he was unconscious, how they would react if they spoke now.

"Umbriel, we were wrong about the king. I have been reborn."

"What do you mean, you've regained your memory?"

"All of it. I remember it like it was yesterday."

It was at this point that Karma and Aurion broke their silence. They knelt in front of him and spoke. Karma was the first to speak.

"My King, congratulations on your awakening. Allow me to introduce myself."

Ernest interrupted Karma.

"You should have understood when I called Umbriel by his name, Master. I remember everything. You can call me by my name - Ernest - as you always have."

"Of course, as you wish."

"I need to make one thing clear, though. I am no

longer affiliated with the Blackstar Guild. Thank you for helping me awaken, and I will personally assist you when I take my throne."

Aurion continued the conversation.

"Ernest, I know this is not the place, but I need to ask you for something."

"Sure, what is it?"

"My sister has contracted a disease that can only be stopped by high-level shadow magic. They call it shadow rot. I ask you to cure my sister. Rather than any thanks, this is the greatest gift you can give me."

All this time Aurion was not interested in Ernest because he was a Cendrian or a king, only because he had Umbrus.

The disease her sister was suffering from was a rare mana disease. It caused black spots to appear on a person's body. As the spots grew, the person's body deteriorated and the flesh began to rot.

That's why he had taught Umbriel light magic , to prevent the disease from progressing. By illuminating from everywhere, he made sure that his brother's body was as far as possible out of contact with the shadows.

"It looks like a haunting. The spell you speak of is a purification spell. I can accept your request, but you should know the risks."

As the name suggests, haunting diseases were caused by beings such as demons or spirits. Aurion's sister was also haunted by a shadow spirit. So the shadows accelerated the progression of the disease.

The problem with the cure was that if the haunting spirit was stronger than the patient's, the patient died first. Not knowing his brother's condition, he spoke to prepare Aurion for what was to come.

"Any purification spell won't work. It can only be purified using high level shadow spirits. I am aware of the risks, in the worst case scenario, I can ease his pain."

Aurion had tears in his eyes as he said these words. The three of them had straightened up their behavior in front of the king. They were more formal now. Ernest complained about it too.

This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.

"You don't have to be so formal. Don't be so stiff. You are my first friends in this life."

They had encountered the monsters of the second floor. All the monsters from this level onwards had been created by the sorcerer who had built the dungeon. They did not know their weaknesses. Ernest immediately used his metamorphosis ability.

Karma was taking care of Umbriel, who was badly wounded.

"Aurion, Karma, don't tire yourselves anymore. This is child's play for me."

Just as he said, he defeated all the monsters with seemingly simple moves. But these monsters were very powerful enemies. On the first floor Aurion and Umbriel were having a hard time, now they were up against monsters many times more powerful than those on the first floor.

In this way Ernest cleaned all the floors without any problems. Now it was the tenth floor. As soon as they entered the door, they froze.

There were no monsters on this floor. There was only the dungeon wizard. He was locked up, protecting himself. And he was muttering.

"Why did the Royal Wizard have to be here? I

hid for thousands of years, I thought there was no one in Yarya who could stop my monsters, I had a clear head."

Ernest was angry. He made his hand into a fist and kept hitting himself between the eyes. Suddenly he shouted angrily.

"Dorin! Stupid dwarf! Is this what you've been dealing with for thousands of years?"

"Now Kaelin is talking to me. Am I dead? I am dead, am I not? Should I raise my head? I'd rather not. If I'm dead, I can lift my head, but I don't know. I won't lift my head."

The dwarf was thinking aloud quickly, as if he didn't know how to speak.

"Idiot! Raise your head!"

"But Kaelin, if I raise it, these people will cut my head off. It's better if I don't. I might as well. Okay, the monsters were strong, but I'm strong too. I can beat these people. And if I can't? I'll lose my head! No, I'd better stay like this."

Ernest looked up and took a breath. He kicked Dorin, sending him flying into the air. Dorin opened his eyes in mid-air and saw Ernest's face. He froze in mid-air before he hit the ground.

"Kaelin! You... but you were dead? Weren't you dead? You used magic. But the spell killed you. You were going to be born, weren't you? But you weren't. If you were, you would have been born by now. Or were you born and you found me now? If you found me, why did you kill my monsters? You didn't know it was me? Yes, Elvandor!"

The dwarf's speech made the others question. Dorin was still not silent.

"The Cendrians disappeared, so you could not be born. If the Cendrians disappeared, how is there a Cendrian now? Did someone else create it? But everyone who could have done it is dead. Was the curse triggered? Maybe you weren't born and I'm just imagining it because I'm lonely. Then who killed my monsters? The angels, of course! The angels must have planned something again. But they can't intervene from heaven. Then God allowed it. God created you? Then Nester must be coming back..."

For about five minutes they waited for him to finish speaking. Ernest could not contain himself. He elbowed Dorin in the air and knocked him to the ground.

"Shut up, damn you! Shut up and let me answer!"

"Of course you're Kaelin. You've always been like this. You say you'll answer, but I don't know what you'll answer..."

Ernest was now sure that he could no longer silence him. This time he hit him hard on the head, knocking him unconscious, and then used his waking skills to wake him up again.

"First of all, hello, I'm Kaelin. I go by Ernest..."

While the others listened to the mundane story, Dorin was telepathically telling the real story. After all, talking about the existence of another Earth could lead both universes to apocalypse in the future. They continued their telepathic conversation.

"So will you become a god?"

"I don't know how honest that being is, I won't risk it."

"I have two of the Numinith on my side. I break them once in a thousand years. It is interesting that every time I break one, I find a new one next to the dungeon."

"I think the tower is between Eldoria and Arvania."

"What Eldoria? It's in the middle of Arvania, two weeks' drive from Sertayaz." "

Sertayaz is no longer the capital, Arvania has lost its lands.

Dorin hadn't been outside since Lyrielle. He kept people away from the tower with his labyrinth spells, so he knew nothing.
