No way, they did it...
I take out my tablet and look at the tabs. The Market tab is no longer greyed out. I put the tablet away before I could press it. My face begins to boil, but I calm down after a few silent breaths. I stare at the back of their heads.
Why? Why would they grant me full access to my status? True, I don't have much EXP right now, but that will change as I grow up. I've read that a child would typically gain as much as two-thousand EXP before adulthood. At this moment, if I gained EXP, I could use it to purchase random skills without thought! Do they trust me that much or what?
Huh, why should I care? This is good! I can now create myself how I want to and not worry about the skills they put on me. Plus, they can't check on my status anymore. I have to be careful, though! I consider this another trail... I can't be fooled and play with the marketplace! I must thoroughly research this status and get the best skills I can get!
I nod to myself as I close my eyes, lost in thought. We stayed silent during the rest of the ride. Once we returned home, I walked back to my room and tossed myself onto the bed. I face up at the ceiling and refreshingly sigh.
"Ah, what a day!"
My head explodes with ideas on how to make my status. Haha! This is just like that game!
"..."
Huh, like what game? I shake the thought out of my head and focus. I bring out my tablet and look at my status.
Two Exp... I need to increase this. Not only that, my stats are poor too. I have eleven years to bring these up, but how should I do it? I could...
Knock, knock.
My body jumps. I quickly turned over to the door and answered the door to come in. Both Kaichi and Michiko enter. Kaichi comes up to me and sits on the bed beside me while Michiko stands near the entrance. I look up at him. He sighs.
"Sho, there's something... we've been meaning to tell you. It might be too early for you, and it has only been two weeks since you returned, but..."
He takes a deep breath and quickly exhales.
"We have a special skill, or more specifically, your mother does. It's known as Transfer and can allow her to transfer EXP from one person to another but requires both transferees' permission. It's a skill passed down from generation to generation."
Michiko only nods, tears starting to build up in her eyes. Kaichi continues.
"This skill has been used to send the previous generation's Exp to the current. We are no different. We will have to send our Exp to you too, but we're supposed to do that when you become an adult. We're supposed to teach you many things too, but we have something else in mind."
He gulps and stares into my eyes.
"We would like to send our EXP to you now. It requires the receiver to have their status unlocked, so that's part of why we gave you full access. However, we want to stop this all... You can do whatever you want with it, but don't do anything until you hit adulthood. There, you can do anything you want to. So, Sho, would you accept all of our EXP?"
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
I blink.
Our family has such a backstory, huh... I have so many questions, but it seems like it would be a blast, in all honesty. Imagine having all of that Exp... I could buy all the skills I want! How powerful I could become... Why would I ever say no?!
"Yes, sir!"
He smiles. He whispers to me while a single tear slides down his face.
"Thank you..."
Wait, why are you two crying?
Suddenly, a robotic voice speaks in my head. Do you accept the skill Transfer to be used on you? You will receive a large amount of EXP in doing so. Yes/No?
I hesitate for a moment. Are there some side effects or hurts? Why else would they be sad?
I gulp and respond. Yes...
Answer received. You have successfully received 329,811,470 EXP. Therefore, the effect, EXP Banking, has been added to your status.
What the...
Suddenly, I fall on my back, and my vision blackens. My consciousness instantly fades away...
...
When it returns, I slowly open my eyes.
"Huh, what happened?"
I pull myself up and search around, but everything looks normal. Then it hit me.
"Right!"
I quickly pull out my tablet and check my status. My eyes widen.

Incredible! As long as I don't spend any EXP, I can keep gathering as much as possible! But isn't this too overpowered?! My current amount can be considered OP but wait until I hit adulthood... Then, I will be loaded with EXP! If I wait even longer... Oh boy, I can't wait!
That said, it seems the Gods, even more, hate me... Why? I haven't done anything wrong, I think... Its effects of it are even more significant too. I can't get skills from activities anymore?! That's too much! Are the Gods trying to make me spend my EXP, so the banking skill stops? Ha, I don't need them!
"..."
Does that mean I can't get stronger no matter how much work? The only way to increase your status is through leveling up or by using skills, but both options are impossible to do right now... I can't buy skills, and killing monsters requires having the ability to fight them. I could've trained to get the combat and status skills, but now...
"I guess I can only raise my intellect stat..."
Luckily, this stat is better than the others as it is needed to use skills. So, although I don't have skills to use yet, I should have loads of Intellect to use by the time I get some. There are two ways to level up this skill, but one of the ways requires skills that use Intellect points which I don't have. The other, on the other hand, only requires gathering knowledge. Thus, I know what I must do... I'll spend all my time reading books and getting as much Intellect as I can!
I repeat this to myself while nodding. Then, finally, I jumped off the bed and headed to the study. I then began my long journey of reading all the books I could find...
