Chapter-II

As Toru gets his hands on the frost spear it seemed his hypnotism has broken, he looks at the spear which was mesmerizing and beautiful in a way, he looks back and sees a passed out Kaya on the ground and Isamu trying to comfort him, Toru rushes to help Kaya putting the spear on the ground, suddenly Kaya wakes up and the darkness surrounding him disappears. They all go back to Isamu’s house, Isamu tells Kaya to get some rest, Kaya goes in a room and lies down. In his sleep Kaya sees a woman in a white dress and notices he is back in the void, he wakes up after a few minutes and goes outside, Toru sees Kaya and immediately starts asking about how he’s feeling, Kaya says to Toru “I’m fine don’t worry about me” , they both go to the garden where Isamu is sitting with the spear, as they both approach Isamu he says to Kaya “you need to learn how to control that my boy”, Kaya asks “control? You mean the darkness?” Isamu says “energy from the void, everyone who travels through the void absorbs some of its energy”, “ but I traveled through the void too why isn’t it happening to me?” says Toru, Isamu replies “Kaya here must have spent a long time in the void to absorb the amount of energy that he has” Kaya says “but I don’t remember any of the time spent there”, you’re going to need someone more knowledgeable then me to answer your questions my boy, all I can do is teach you self-control” Kaya nods in agreement. “as for Toru” says Isamu as he points towards the spear “hold it”, Toru picks up the spear and shows it to Kaya “look at this isn’t it cool” says Toru as he tries to hand the spear to Kaya, Kaya tries to touch the spear but immediately puts his hand away and says “it’s freezing cold how are you holding it” Isamu explains “the legendary weapons can only be used by their keeper, the frost spear has chosen Toru to be its keeper” Toru says with excitement “oh that’s so cool” Kaya asks Isamu “you said ‘weapons’ you mean there are more?” Isamu answers “ there are four legendary weapons, each of them have already chosen their keeper”, Toru says “what, not a single one left I was hoping Kaya gets one too”, “don’t get sad Toru I don’t really think I can be a keeper of a legendary weapon” Isamu smiles and says “when a legendary weapon chooses its keeper it connects two worlds through a pathway from past or the future a worthy keeper is chosen, the weapons are just as ancient as they are legendary, the elders have said that the weapons can even choose keepers from the dead , destiny may have chosen different paths for the both of you but your fates are connected I can feel it” Toru says “why was this spear frozen in ice and why does it feel cold when others touch it” Isamu replies “each of the legendary weapons carries an element, the frost spear carries, well frost there are three other elements Blaze, Aqua and Lightning, the keepers get full control of their weapons elements”, Isamu continues “Toru my boy why don’t you go to the pond over there and touch the water” Toru goes to the pond and puts his hand in the water, “now concentrate” says Isamu, Toru closes his eyes and concentrates, suddenly the water in the pond starts freezing, in just a few moments the whole pond freezes completely. Both Toru and Kaya seem fascinated by this incident. “now you understand” says Isamu in a satisfied voice, Kaya asks “you said these weapons are ancient, how ancient are we talking” , “these weapons have seen many wars, most against evil some against the same kind as their keepers” says Isamu. Toru asks Isamu “how are people suppose to stand against these weapons its totally unfair” , Isamu laughs gently and says “you are right, it would be an unfair for anyone to be on opposing side of a keeper, but do not underestimate the people my boy, the elders found a way to use the power of the elements themselves, when you came in here for the first time surely you noticed the four trees” Toru replies “you mean the giant trees with different colored leafs” , “they are called elemental trees they each carry an element, the one with red leafs carries Blaze, the one with blue leafs carries Aqua, the one with yellow leafs carries Lightning and the one with white leafs carries Frost” Isamu continues “when the leafs wither away and fall they lose their elemental energy, but the fresh leafs can be used to harness the power of their elements, when a leaf is rubbed on a weapon, the weapon absorbs the leafs elemental energy and becomes infused with the element” Toru asks “so anyone can use the elements?” , “not with as much potential and control as a keeper, but yes they can” answers Isamu. Toru tries to spin the spear in his hand but fails miserably, Kaya chuckles, Toru gets moody and says “so what if I can’t spin it I can still fight” Isamu says “the spear and your heart and soul have already become one but before you can fight with it you must practice”, “I understand” says Toru with a disappointed tone. Isamu goes inside his house and gets a sword covered in a beautiful cloth and says “this was the weapon of my apprentice, you can’t be defenseless in this world take this sword” Kaya takes the sword and says “thank you I will take good care of it” Toru says “now that you got a weapon yourself let’s practice”, “just so you know I will not be taking it gently just because we are friends” , Isamu smiles and says “I will leave you two with it then” and goes inside his house both Kaya and Toru start training, as their weapons clash a shockwave fills the garden, they both give each other a smile.
