Chapter-I

“We all choose our own fate but for some, fate chooses itself”. It is the story of a boy who had no interest in the workings of the world a boy hoped to live his life in peace SAEKI KAYA, his story begins on a night full of stars Kaya was walking on the road living on his own mind but then he notices a dark cloud on the side of the road on his mind was nothing but confusion and curiosity, he approached the cloud he put forward his hand to touch the cloud but suddenly the dark cloud sucked him in, in an instant he was in a space full of darkness with creatures like firefly all around him it was as if the darkness was taking him somewhere, a window of light a little far away, Kaya realized he can move freely in the darkness using the firefly like creatures to guide himself he tried to approach the window but a sudden gust of energy threw him away and he fell into a void where there were no creatures, no points of light and no windows Kaya was unable to move or maybe he was but could not tell because of the darkness he shouted for help but could not hear his own voice, he realized he wasn’t breathing or did not need to breathe, he was in a space where time has no meaning, he was stuck there for who knows how long. Then Kaya felt another gust of energy this time he saw someone in the darkness, a boy, the wave took them both through a window and they landed on a grassy field, when Kaya opened his eyes he felt the wind on his face it felt like it’s been a millennia since he had touched grass and felt the wind, he saw a boy lying next to him, the boy was rather excited, the boy said “hay, have you been brought here as well”, “brought here?” Kaya replied, ”yeah, don’t you know we just got brought to another world, ohh I’m excited” said the boy. Kaya had no idea what the boy was talking about “my name is YASUI TORU, what’s your name said the boy, “my name is Saeki Kaya” said Kaya. There was still a tiny glimpse of darkness surrounding Kaya, Toru asked “what is that darkness surrounding you, I don’t have any surrounding me”. Kaya had a slight headache he took a deep breath and the darkness disappeared. Toru said “hmm we are in the middle of nowhere we should look for a town, look there’s a river we should follow it we will run into a town for sure”, they started walking together, Kaya asked “you said we got brought to another world what do you mean by that” Toru said “we got brought into a new world to start a new life, let me guess your old life sucked right?” Kaya replied “yes it kind of did” Toru said “have you never read a light novel or a manga it happens a lot in them” Kaya asked “how did you get here” but before he could finish they saw a village with more trees then houses in it. ”come on hurry up” said Toru, they both entered the village, they saw a woman walking and they tried communicating with her but could not understand her language, then the woman pointed at the middle of the village and went on her way. Toru said “well that sucked we could not understand her at all how are we suppose to communicate with people” Kaya said “well for now let’s go where she pointed”, “yeah you are right” said Toru. As they approached the location pointed by the woman they saw a house surrounded by four giant trees, each tree had leafs of different colour, they approached the house and saw an old man meditating in the garden, Toru said “hello, we’re not from around here and we need some help” he followed “he doesn’t understand what we’re saying what do we do” Kaya said “no, something is different” suddenly the old man said “you may be right on that front my boy”, Toru said “wooh he speaks our language, but how?” the old man said “you are not the first people to come to this strange world, and it is not an accident that you are here”, Kaya says “not an accident?” the old man says “you might be confused right now but in time you will understand”, Kaya says “who are you and what do you mean by ‘not the first people’ how many have come here”, “that’s a lot of questions at once you will have to be patient with me I’m an old man as you can see, let me start from the beginning” the old man continues “my name is ISAMU and I am the overseer of the travelers from the void", "the void?" asks Toru, Isamu replies "yes that is what brought you from your world to our world, in the void worlds are connected by pathways but no one can travel between the worlds by will" Isamu gives Kaya a curious glare, Kaya asks "so why are we here, did we just happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time?" Isamu replies "no, you are here because you have a purpose in this world. Kaya again feels the headache, Toru asks “so what do we do now” Kaya asks “you said there are other people who came here, where are they” Isamu answers “they all found their purpose, we have yet to find out yours, but for now you must come with me” Isamu starts walking towards the mountain outside of the village. While walking Toru seems exited, Kaya asks “why are you so exited?” Toru replies “we are in a new world, we have a chance to start a new life better than our old one” Kaya asks “you still haven’t told me how you got here” before Kaya finishes asking Toru immediately changes the subject. Toru asks Isamu “where are we going” Isamu replies “to find your purpose”. As they reach the mountain, Kaya and Toru notice a cave in the mountain, they enter the cave and start feeling a little cold, as they go in deeper the air gets colder and colder. Kaya asks “what is this cave and why is it so cold” Isamu says nothing but gives a smug look. Both Kaya and Toru notice a huge chunk of ice at the end of the cave, Isamu says “this is the chamber of an ancient and legendary weapon”, Toru feels something inside of the ice, the temperature becomes freezing cold, Kaya feels the cold and looks at Toru who doesn’t seem bothered by the cold anymore, he looks enchanted by what’s encased in the ice. Isamu says “the time has come, the FROST SPEAR has chosen its keeper, Kaya starts feeling immense pain in his head and a cloud of darkness starts surrounding him. Toru approaches the frozen spear and puts his hand on the ice, Kaya’s pain becomes unbearable, the ice starts cracking and then shatters, as Kaya on his knees surrounded by darkness, the frost spear comes in the hands of Toru and freezes the cave walls with ice.
