The Wind pressed against the hawk’s wings as she soared through the air. The sun shown down making them glisten almost like a red raw jewel. She looked down searching and spotted something . She notice a beautiful spirit fox walking through the lush landscape. Flying down to investigate, she landed on a branch of a cherry blossom tree, watching as the fox started to pace and she talked under her breath. She looked at the fox in amusement. Flara was complex and plopped down on the ground twisting her tail . She thought of her world , the world of Love and Nurture. It’s all she ever known and it’s the greatest truth she ever known. All the foxes and other creatures here are patient, kind, gentle, honor each other with the greatest respect. All opinions and feelings are valid here. It feels perfect, it feels right. But something has always troubled her . If love and positivity exist then surely their opposites must exist as well. She always kept these feeling to herself because of their deviant nature. She always wondered how she could know full love and nurture if she never experienced what was not. How could she fully enjoy it and understand if she never knew why they were important. She has kept these feelings deep inside and now it’s eating her up.
The land was protected by the spirit Nova that was both the embodiment of love and nurture. Flara has always sought her wisdom and inspiration. But today she was struggling more with this feeling and thoughts that were running through her head. She wanted it to stop but her heart yearned for it. The hawk flapped her wings and glided up to Flara and nuzzled her arm . Flara smiled at the creature and sighed. “ I wanted to enjoy what I was given, but part of me could not let this go and it is torturing me. I wish you could understand.” Flara pet the soft feathers on the hawks head. It stared up at her and Flara felt a tingle . The hawk’s eyes glowed a crimson red and the body transformed into a red mist. The figure loomed and spread out she could see a form of a fox like creature, the mist was always moving. Flara was in a trance following the misty tentacles as they swirled. Flara heard it’s velvet voice flow through her. “My child, I sense you are troubled.” Nova had only been just a feeling all of the creatures of the world had. Flara knew she was there but no one had ever seen her. Nova’s voice sounded so hypnotic as she continued to speak. “ I fear it is now something that your spirit will not let go of. You are special Flara. I have always kept my eye on you. But I’ve noticed someone else has been watching you too. You are right, in that both sides require balance. But you do not know the danger of what you are seeking. You only know the curiousness of what your spirit is telling you. The Spirit Fox that has been watching you is struggling with the same feelings. It hard to explain those opposite feelings but I want you to understand what they are. He will cross over tonight . He knows you will be waiting for him. I hope this calms your spirit my child.”

Then the mist was gone. Flara eyes were like saucers. ‘What had just happened? Why had this happened to me? I wondered what she meant by tonight.’ Thoughts we’re racing in her mind. Then she remembered it was the summer solstice tonight. The time when other worlds cross over. Of all the worlds that could cross over Nova had never allow Devastation and Sorrow to be able to. Flara could not understand why. ‘Did she not want her people to understand?’ But then thoughts went back to that stranger. ‘ What was a he? She has only known she and her.’ Flara made her way over to the place where the cross over occurs in her world . She sat there tangled in thoughts, her hands hugging her knees, wondering what was coming and why? Her spirit could now be tamed. she sat there and watched as the day faded and the night took over. Beads of light started floating in the air like lighting bugs. It coated the area in a rich colorful and beautiful glow. Creatures started to cross over. Then she saw him, another spirit fox. But this one looked different. The body frame was bigger and the fox was flat chested. The fox looked straight at her . Flara got chills down her spine and braced herself as the fox started to come to where she was . The fox got closer and Flara noticed his face . It was different from what she saw in her world. He stopped in front of her and she caught her breath. “My name is Tarot. “ Flara gazed into his soft eyes. “Hi my name is Flara”
