Alex Volff stands in the middle of his personal training room inside the Realm of Defenders. He controls his spirit to grab onto his mana in the dantian and moves them all around his body, entering the mana-enhanced state.
After that, he starts moving the mana around his body, except the mana in his right leg. He moves it using the internal energy path described in the {Energy Manipulation} skill book just like when he withdraws his mana to his dantian. The mana go through his dantian once more and starts gathering towards his right leg. When almost all of his mana gathers in his right leg, suddenly he can feel his spirit getting strained beyond what he can handle. He lose control of his mana and all of it disperse to the outside.
It's another failure, but Alex shows an excited expression as this is already a massive progress compared to his earlier trials. Alex repeats the process for a few hours, but he still lost control of his mana every time all of it almost gathered in his right leg.
Once again, Alex Volff sits in a meditating position and starts pondering on how to solve this problem that he is facing. When controlling his mana to fill all of his body, it is very easy to do for his current self. But, when almost all of his mana gathers in his right leg, his spirit can't hold onto it for even a split second. On the other hand, he has no problem holding onto all of his mana when it was in his dantian.
After thinking for a long time, Alex comes to the conclusion that it is easy for his spirit to hold the mana in his dantian because the dantian is the natural place for mana inside the body. Even without his spirit controlling the mana in his dantian, it will stay there. Meanwhile, to hold the mana around the other parts of his body, he has to continually hold it using his spirit because the other parts are not the natural place for mana. If he left the mana inside the other parts, then it will naturally disperse to the outside.
Another important thing is that when he enters the mana-enhanced state and infuse the mana within every parts of his body, the amount of mana inside each part is only a tiny bit, so it was easy to hold onto it. Even then, in the early days of him learning this skill, he could only hold it for a few seconds. It shows how difficult it is to control mana using his spirit outside the dantian.
After thinking for another period of time on how to solve this problem, Alex comes up with an idea to try. When he uses the {Energy Arrow} skill, only 10 points of mana was used to form the arrow. Maybe he can learn to control just a portion of his mana.

All this time, he has always used the easiest method when invoking the {Energy Manipulation} skill, to grab every bit of mana in his dantian in a bulk using his spirituality and start distributing all over his body it by spreading his spirit. Maybe he can try to grab just a portion of his mana this time and try to execute the move.
Alex immediately stands up and starts controlling his spirit to move into his dantian. He can see the cluster of gas-like energy that is his mana in his dantian. Usually he would just infuse his spirit into the gas cluster and bind everything, but this time Alex tries to form his spirit into a smaller ball shape and infuse it with just half of the gas cluster.
His spirit starts infusing with half of the gas-like cluster. But, it suddenly starts spreading to the other parts of his mana that he didn't want to bind. Alex tries to hold back his spirit, but it was like a dry sponge meeting water. It was so quick to bind with all of his mana that Alex can't stop it.
Another failed attempt. Alex then breaks the binding and try again. His mana and spirit is easy to bind, but it is also easy to break the binding, otherwise trying to release the mana-enhanced state before he gets dead tired mentally would have been impossible. Trying other methods such as splitting his spirit won't work because his spirit has to move as a whole. He can spread it but he can't split it.
Alex doesn't give up and keep trying the same thing over and over again. He spends 2 hours before making any progress. After 2 hours of repeated trials, Alex can now limit his spirit to just bind with around 90% of his mana pool. Alex tried to execute the move with 90% of his mana, but it still proved to be impossible to control that amount of mana in once place.
Alex keeps working hard to be able to replicate the finishing move he did against the
This time, all of the controlled mana managed to gather in his right leg and holds for around 0.7-0.9 seconds before dispersing. He just needs to time his attack right to be able to perform the move now. Alex tries the move and kick the F-rank 3-star training dummy in his training room with it. Alex is surprised by the result. The training dummy that was as hard as the bones of F*** ranked creatures breaks to pieces from his kick. The power is at least 4 times the power he can exert when he enters the mana-enhanced state, maybe even 5 times of his normal mana-enhanced strength.
But, Alex still is not satisfied with this result. First, the timing needs to be right to execute this move as he can only hold it for less than a second before the mana in his leg is gone. Second, he can feel the pain in his right leg after executing this move. Apparently, his muscles still isn't strong enough to handle that much mana.
