Finally, Freya reunites with Eldric and Aric in Sector 10. The three of them find themselves in a secluded room, where Freya begins to recount what happened.
Freya, with a look of concern and urgency: "What I heard is horrible. King Lauren is planning a war to absorb souls and make himself stronger."
Aric, frowning, doubtful: "Are you sure about what you saw? You might have been hallucinating."
Freya, offended, responds firmly: "What are you saying, idiot? Don't you believe me? I know exactly what I saw. It wasn't an illusion."
Eldric, with a serious expression, interjects: "I believe you, Freya. When the island descends, we'll plan our way out of here."
Freya, relieved, says: "Good thing someone here has common sense."
Aric, slightly irritated: "Are you trying to say something?"
Freya, patiently, explains: "The island will descend in three months, and what's outside is unknown. So, it's better if we start developing our souls."
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Aric, confused: "Develop our souls?"
Freya, with a somewhat mocking smile: "Yes, that's what you heard. To explain, everyone is born with a soul, and the more descendants a person has, the stronger it is. But there's also another way to improve, which is through training. The more we use our abilities, the more familiar we become with them, and they grow stronger. We might even develop new abilities."
Aric, surprised: "Wow, so we can get even stronger?"
Freya, nodding: "Yes, there are even people who manage to completely master their soul and can use borrowed souls nearby."
Eldric, excited: "Then improving our abilities sounds interesting. What are we waiting for? Let's get stronger."
And so, months pass as they complete guild missions and grow stronger.
A couple of months later…
Aric, thoughtful, suggests: "Hey, what if we talk about the plan with our comrades from the Coliseum? Maybe they'll help us."
Eldric, worried: "That's a good idea, but what if one of them says something?"
Aric, reflecting: "True, this is too important. Better safe than sorry."
Eldric, determined: "Then we'll tell them the day before the escape, that way they won't have time to inform the nobles."
Aric, nodding: "Perfect. Then it's decided."
With great determination, the three of them continue training for three arduous months, preparing for the crucial moment when the island will descend, and they must execute their escape plan.
