Sector 5 - Coliseum of the Forgotten Eldric wakes up early, before dawn, amid the imposing ruins of the Coliseum of the Forgotten. The structure, though worn by time, retains an air of ancient grandeur. The ancient runes carved into the walls emit a faint glow, as if they are filled with forgotten energy that only awakens in the morning twilight. Eldric focuses on his training, trying to perfect the difficult technique of combining water with lightning. Eldric: (I have to master this skill… combining water with lightning… ahhh! I need to better control the lightning element so this magic becomes invincible.) Suddenly, a presence is felt. Eldric turns to see a slender figure watching him intently. It’s Nyra, a young woman from Sector 6, who approaches with a determined look. Nyra: “I’ve seen you train and I must say, you intrigue me. But this talk of you being the strongest… I doubt it. I want to see for myself. I challenge you to a friendly duel.” Eldric, though surprised and a little nervous, responds with a confident smile. Eldric: “Don’t pay attention to the rumors. I’m not as powerful as they say, but I accept the duel. It will help me train, and it will help you improve as well.” Nyra: “Then, get ready!” Eldric (Sector 8) vs. Nyra (Sector 6) They both position themselves in the center of the Coliseum’s arena. The runes on the walls begin to glow more intensely, as if the Coliseum itself were excited for the upcoming battle. Eldric and Nyra prepare for the fight with a mix of anticipation and focus. Eldric: “Ready?” Nyra: “Absolutely, let’s begin!” Nyra attacks first with a speed that surprises Eldric. With an elegant gesture, she conjures ice magic, sending a barrage of sharp ice stakes towards him. At the same time, she creates a concentrated jet of water moving at high speed. Eldric reacts quickly, raising a wall of earth to protect himself. However, the impact of the water is so powerful that it pierces through his defense, leaving him injured. Despite the wound, Eldric manages to soak Nyra during her attack. Nyra: “I’ve got you beaten. Soaking me won’t matter if you can’t hurt me.” Eldric: “That remains to be seen.” Despite the pain, Eldric advances towards Nyra with determination. She, confident, throws an ice stake to stop him, but soon discovers she has been attacking a water clone all along. Desperate, she searches for Eldric, but before she can react, he descends from the sky with a lightning spear spell. The combination of his magic with the water still covering Nyra makes the attack devastating, securing Eldric’s victory. Eldric: “Are you okay?” he asks while applying a healing spell. Nyra: “Yes, thanks to your healing I’m fine. That was impressive, I didn’t expect that attack. I always thought I had the advantage.” A new friendship forms between them, forged in the intensity of combat. The Coliseum seems to vibrate with an ancient energy, as if it recognizes the worth of these young warriors. Three Days Ago - Nearby Forest - Outskirts of the Kingdom Freya, frustrated by her inability to complete missions due to a supposed order from the king, ventures into the forest to hunt monsters. From a safe distance, she spots a group of adventurers and nobles renowned for their strength, heading towards an unknown area. Intrigued, she decides to follow them discreetly. For two days, Freya hides in the forest, observing and hunting. When the adventurers finally return, she hides among the trees and listens closely to their conversations. The nobles and adventurers talk about a beast they have faced, a creature more powerful than any they have ever encountered. The words echo in her mind as she watches the soldiers return to the castle. Suddenly, the sky opens up and the island begins to rise, leaving Freya in awe. With a mix of wonder and emerging painful memories, Freya runs back to the castle. However, in her emotional confusion, she becomes lost in the forest for another two days. Present - Nearby Forest - Outskirts of the Castle Freya finds herself in a tranquil forest on the outskirts of the Kingdom of Lauren. The light filtering through the tree canopies creates a serene atmosphere, but her mind is troubled by painful memories and a new revelation. She is alone, surrounded by the calm of the forest, but her mind is in turmoil. Freya: “Ahhhggg! I always thought this world was just this small piece of land, but it turns out it was all a deception. There’s still more to explore! Mom, Dad… I’ll find you at any cost when this ‘Island in the Sky’ descends again!” Torn by the revelation, Freya cries uncontrollably. She feels a presence around her and, turning, sees a humanoid entity with a body composed of galaxies and constellations, glowing with a cosmic brilliance. Mysterious Entity: “Freya, I have been looking for you. Train fiercely for two years and wait for the arrival of two adventurers. They will be your salvation.” The entity begins to fade, leaving behind a trail of shooting stars that dissipate into the air. Freya: “What was that? Was it an illusion?” With renewed determination, Freya remains in the forest. The environment seems to subtly change around her, as if the forest is responding to her new resolve. Leaves fall slowly, and a gentle breeze brushes her face. Freya (resolute): “No matter how difficult it is. If there’s a chance to find my parents and uncover the truth about the world, I’ll take it. I will train relentlessly and be ready when those adventurers arrive. I won’t stop until I reach my goal!” With this new determination, Freya prepares for the challenge ahead, ready to face any obstacle in her path to the truth. End of chapter 3.
