A man could be seen behind his computer screen playing a game. This man was obese, he wore glasses and could be seen stuffing donuts into his mouth. He had dark skin, black hair, and wore green shorts and a white shirt.
"This is the first season of League of Heroes. Before the season ends tonight, I'll become the number one player!"
This man's name was Leon; he was 21 years old this year. He weighed 128 Kg, which was technically 282 lbs!
"Crap, the season ends in an hour. I need to defeat Silvermoon and take his position as number one!" Leon was currently ranked two, so he wanted to defeat Silvermoon and steal his points to become number 1.
League of Heroes was an extremely popular MMO Rpg game worldwide. People could even sell items from the game to make a quick buck. The game was supported by the banks, so one could exchange for in-game currency.
Leon himself was living lavishly in his newly acquired house because of the game's exchange system. He ate most of the time and played games, something his parents disliked greatly.
If he was going to play games all day, at least hit the gym or something.
"Silvermoon will be on in thirty minutes, he has no choice but to fight me since he accepted it. If he doesn't show, his points will be forfeited."
Everyone paid close attention to the Master Ranked Leaderboards. Anyone who made it into this bracket would receive a set payment from the game each month. This alone was enough to live off of—much less the items he sold in-game and coins he used for exchange.
"Let me go grab a snack before fighting Silvermoon. I need to be at full capacity during the fight." Leon got up and went to the kitchen to grab a snack.
He made himself a sandwich with different meats. There was ham, turkey, roast beef, corn beef, and Swiss cheese on it.
"Yes, mmph, it doesn't get any better than this!" Leon took a bite with an expression of delight. Afterward, he quickly poured himself a glass of orange juice.
Leon had the strongest guild in the world and he was the leader of that guild. However, when it came to individual strength, he was ranked second on the Master Ranked Leaderboards.
"Hehe, I'll take those points and become number one. My Mythical-Grade set of armor and weapons are undefeatable!" Leon grinned with confidence as he rubbed his chin.
Leon continued to down his sandwich and drink before returning to his gaming area. Right as he sat down, a knock could be heard at his door.
"What?" Leon turned and squinted before walking toward the door. He wondered who would appear at this time of day.
Leon didn't ask who it was before checking the peephole. It turned out to be his brother who was at the door.
"Leon, open the door. I know you know it's me, you're definitely looking through the peephole." His brother laughed as he playfully drew close to the peephole with his eyes.
"Aaron? What are you doing here? It's going on midnight soon, why are you still out and about?" Leon opened the door and asked with a strange expression.
"Of course, I'm crashing here today. Besides, we need to get you in the gym—you can't remain a fatass forever, right?"
Aaron walked past Leon with a cunning smile and went straight to his kitchen.
"What does me being fat have to do with you?" Leon's mouth twitched. He knew he was fat, but he didn't need to be reminded of this. Leon had planned to go to the gym but never got over to doing it.

"Of course, it's my business, you're not just a nobody. You're my brother, I'm not gonna just sit here without saying anything and let you eat yourself into a coffin."
"....." Leon.
All the while, Aaron was making himself something to eat in the kitchen. Leon and Aaron were twins, but they weren't identical. Leon was the oldest, while Aaron was born five minutes later.
"Who knew playing games could make someone so rich? I've seen some tournaments where you could win about 10,000 dollars, but now it's millions?"
Aaron was shocked when he heard about it and decided to make an account to play these games.
"Yeah, once this season ends tonight, you can join my guild later. I have an alt account where I can boost you on." Leon thought and said. This would make it easier for Aaron to make a living.
"Noice, now I can stomp those guys who like to rob beginners!" Veins suddenly appeared on Aaron's head as he recalled being tricked and robbed by this group.
"Dang it, a group like that still exists?" Leon thought for a moment. Of course, how could these people stop robbing noobs?
It could be really profitable in some cases. This was especially so if they got fortunate and ran into some fat sheep.
"Hehe, I'll help you with that later. Perhaps we can reap the things they've stolen." A glint of greed flashed in Leon's eyes. Perhaps he could create an alt and start robbing people as well, no one would find out it was him.
"Oh, that sounds fun. I can't wait!" Aaron rubbed his chin. If he could steal their gold coins and exchange money for them, there was no telling how much he could make!
Aaron nearly drooled at the thought.
"Oh, my fight is about to start soon!" Without replying back, Leon quickly went over to his computer screen. Time had passed so fast in this time that it was now time for his battle with Silvermoon.
Silvermoon had sent Leon a challenge invitation. He quickly arranged the armor and weapons he wanted to use for the fight.
"Let's do this!"
-----
[Darkblade92: Oh, shoot, they're fighting for supremacy over each other!]
[Yin-Yang23: My money's on Silvermoon, he got this for sure.]
[Gardevoir-my-waifu: Nah, bro, my guy Monarch got this.]
[Killer 7: I don't know who to bet on. I'll just watch and see what happens.
-----
"It's time to hand over your points—as if I need them anyway." Silvermoon typed tauntingly.
"Hehe, we'll see." Leon sneered and wrote.
The fight began soon after they enter the battlefield where challengers fight against one another. This could be one vs one, team battles, or large-scale war battles.
Silvermoon was equipped with a full set of legendary armor and a weapon—a spear. Soon the battle commenced with Silvermoon's spear lighting up with white mana.
Silvermoon used the light element on top of his spear mastery. Leon mainly used Darkness as his main element and he used a sword instead.
That chatroom comments were coming in so fast that no one could read them in time.
"The light and dark are even. They cancel out one another, though, the light still has some advantages against it."
Leon didn't relent when he activated the full capability of his armor and skills. With the help of his armor and skills, Leon began to use several debuffs and attacks on Silvermoon.
"What? When did he get a mythical set of armor?!" Silvermoon was shocked. He didn't type this because he was in the middle of a fight but he said it out loud to himself.
-----
[Shadydoggs: Wow, that man has a Mythical set!]
[Thebootyman69: He's being debuffed into oblivion! lol!]
[Taxing-Da-streets: How much do you think he would sell it for?]
[Marcopolo33: What idiot would sell their Mythical-grade armor? Keep dreaming clown.]
-----
"Hehe, I bet he didn't see this coming!" Leon laughed hysterically, as he kept dropping debuffs onto Silvermoon. Of course, as a light caster, he had skills that could cleanse himself of such debuffs.
However, these debuffs were terrifying as the Mythical armor boosted these debuffs to insane levels. Not only that, Leon could cast these skills faster than he could heal and cleanse himself.
"F**KKK!" Silvermoon roared furiously and he quickly lashed out with his spear. However, he had a damage and agility debuff on him—lowering his stats.
Naturally, Silvermoon's armor and weapon were tailored for this battle. Unfortunately, he didn't expect Leon to have Myth-grade equipment.
Leon quickly blocked the swift assault with his sword. His Sword Eternal Nightmare was purely black and gave off an ominous aura.
"Too slow." Leon shook his head with a smile and slashed across Silvermoon's chest in an arc. Blacklight engulfed Silvermoon, causing the damage to worsen, with a series of D.O.T.s!
"M-my health... Heal... Heal!" Silvermoon began to panic but his health had completely plummeted to zero.
A five million health bar, gone just like that!
"Noooooo!!!" Silvermoon smashed his keyboard and threw his mouse in a rage!
-----
[Monarch: Lol! That man Silvermoon must have gone through at least 4 to 5 keyboards this week!]
[Thirdpersontroller: Don't forget the mouse, he must have annihilated that thing in his grasp. LOL!!]
[Somewhitedude0012: My god, Monarch won and received first place on the leaderboards!]
[Someblackdude0012: Yep! Our guild will now receive extra rewards for this season on account of his name! 🥳]
[Someasiandude0012: The more prizes the better, they can't stop us. No one can at this point! 😂]
[Victorystargirl990: I'm shocked and excited about this victory and the exclusive seasonal rewards we will receive!😍]
-----
These were the things that Leon could see in the comment section. Leon had blocked all of the Moonlight Guild members. He could guess that they were trash-talking him right about now, but he couldn't see it nor did he care.
"Did you win or something?" Aaron came out of the kitchen with a plate of ice cream.
"No doubt. I just became the number 1 player in the game!" Leon checked the leaderboards and saw his name at the number one spot. He checked the forums of the game and saw everyone blowing the comment section up.
At that moment, the clock turned to 12:00AM. That's when Leon's computer screen suddenly turned black.
-----
[Congratulations, player [Monarch], you've earned 1,000 points for being the number one player!]
[Congratulations, player [Monarch], you've earned 600 points for being the number one guild!]
[Congratulations, player [Monarch], you've earned 800 points for being the leader of the number one guild!]
[Congratulations, player [Monarch], you've received 1 Exclusive Ultimate Token!]
-----
"Points? What can I do with these points?" These points weren't related to League of Heroes, right?
Was it some new exclusive vendor for these points?
Leon couldn't think for long before he heard a voice in his head.
[You are being summoned to the Trial of Heroes!]
"What?" Leon was shocked.
Suddenly, a dark rainy cloud appeared over his head.
"Ahh! What the...I can't move! Help!" Leon found that he couldn't move.
Aaron looked at the dark cloud in shock and snapped out of his stupor. He rushed over to help his brother out of his situation. That's when lightning came out of the cloud and struck Leon.
Unfortunately, Aaron was also struck by this lightning.
They could barely scream when they were both disintegrated on the spot!
