“Beam Blast!”
Casey made the opening move. Firing an energy projectile from where his hand had been morphed into a blaster.
The glowing beam shot across and was knocked away by Adrian who charged at the duo. Melvin dashed to side, hidden by rumble, Adrian leaped forward gathering power into his fist.
“Hell Hammer Punch!”
Adrian barreled down. Judy stepped forward, extending her staff.
“Pum-pum Pumpkin Blast!”
Magic force collected and then exploded out of her staff catching Adrian in the chest. He unleashed his energy into a hasty blast that did little but throw up dust.
Casey flinched, but recovered and looked around. His displaying information to him.
“Where's the other one?” He asked and Adrian laughed.
“Pay attention to what's in front of you!” Adrian charged forward with another, but this time shallow, leap.
“Rush bolt!”
Adrian led with his shoulder into Casey, who had formed an energy shield in a moment before impact sending him back. Adrian tried to swing at Judy but was countered by another blast. Adrian was knocked off balance and Judy used the moment to form another spell.
“Pum-pum Pumpkin Snare!”
Pumpkin roots erupted and grew as Judy slammed her staff down. The vines stretched forward and started to grapple Adrian. He ripped as fast as he could, but the vines were faster and soon Adrian was immobilized.
“I got you, Hellape.” Judy boasted.
Adrian just grinned as a shadow formed behind Judy, becoming Melvin.
“Be mindful, spell slinger.” Melvin taunted as he prepared his blade for a thrust. He was interrupted by Casey firing another blast between him and Judy.
“Judy! Get out of there!” Casey yelled sending Judy into a spiral as she looked around for her next action. She eyed returned to Adrian just as he broke the last and leaped forward at her.
“Hell Hammer Punch!”
Judy raised her staff.
“Pumpkin Shield!”
Orange energy solidified in between the two. Adrian’s punch slammed in straining the wall and send through a shockwave knocking Judy off balance. She stumbled and fell to her knees, but before Adrian could slam another fist down Judy slammed her staff and sent magic into the ground reshaping it.

“Pum-Pum Pumpkin Balloon!”
The ground under Judy cracked and broke apart as a giant pumpkin grew up out of the ground and took to the sky. Quickly floating away.
“The hell you will!” Adrian jumped, clearly distance enough to dig into his fingers into the magic pumpkin’s flesh. He climb on hand at a time until he got his head over the top ready for any magic attack Judy had ready. Only to be met with her wooden staff on his temple. Judy had swung her staff as a melee and was returning to hit Adrian’s other temple. Adrian parried the blow with his forearm leaving him open as Judy restanced and aim for his chest.
“Pum-Pum Pumpkin Blast!”
The shot was nearly point blank and the giant pumpkin’s flesh tore away nearly sending Adrian flying off, but he regrabbed with his freed hand and scrambled to pull himself up. As Judy prepared another attack Adrian took a scoop of pumpkin flesh and threw it straight into her face with enough force to knock her down.
Down below Melvin was focusing on Casey to prevent him from help Judy. Casey had to stay alert to keep Melvin from cutting him with a flying leaf dagger. Ironically formed from the leftover mana from Judy flying pumpkin spell, but only Mevlin knew that. Casey only knew that each he looked up to aim at Adrian, Melvin would leap out and sling another razor leaf at him.
“That armor of yours and rather tough.” Melvin said hidden behind a stone pillar.
“It is.” Casey replied as he zeroed on Melvin, “Come take a closer look.”
“Flux Blast!”
Casey unleash energy, not directly at Melvin, but rather at the top of the pillar he hid behind. Pushing the stone column over and on top of Melvin had leapt away from. Casey followed him effortlessly and continued to fire beams of energy.
“Just so you know. I can detect your power level.” Casey said was a cocksured tone, “You can’t hide from me.”
“I know.” Melvin said back after he landed behind a rather thick rock, “At least I assumed, since power level detection isn’t that special of a technique. Which is why I went and master this little move.”
“What are you talking about?” Casey shouted back right before the moment of horror at Melvin’s energy signature disappeared from his visor.
Up above Adrian and Judy was trading attacks. Adrian slamming his fist into magically parried swings of Judy’s staff and Judy sending magic power back to Adrian who just tanked the blows directly. Adrian took a bigger step and double fist slammed on Judy who put over power into her counter sending them both back with heavy breathing. The two of them took a mutual moment to catch their breath.
“Hey,” Adrian called out, “Why was your shield spell just pumpkin shield?”
“What?” Judy choked out confused.
“All your spells were pum pum pumpkin something, but not your shielding spell. What’s up with that?”
“Umm.. well, because…” Judy stumbled her words and Adrian roared in laughter.
“Oh my god! Do you even need to say the pum pum part? Are you just a dork?”
Judy turned red with anger, “Shut up, you hellape! What do you know about magic?”
“Enough to recogize a dork wizard!” Adrian roared in laughter again.
“I’ll show you!” Judy stood straight and slammed her staff into her giant pumpkin.
“Pum-Pum Big Pumpkin Bomb”
The energy of the giant pumpkin rippled and Adrian tought quickly. Instead of another melee attack Adrian reach into his pocket for a ball bearing and shouted as he fired.
“Mad Marble Mark!”
The ball bearing clipped Judy’s shoulder and distracted her. She stumbled and was equally caught in her own exploring pumpkin.
Below Casey swept the field over and over watching for Melvin until the shockwave pulled his attention. He saw Judy was flying off to the edge of the ring.
“Judy!” Casey panicked and rushed at a full sprint. He leaped over the pit just as Judy passed by and managed to scoop her up into his arms. Maneuvering he placed both feet firm on the wall and jumped back to the arena as cheers roared out from the audience.
