Bloom 815 Xibalba
The wind caused by his blade Eurus calmed into a gentle breeze as Mul steadied his breathing. He stared down at Impetigo's limp body, mentally reviewing the battle that took place. He felt no guilt as he stepped over the fallen World King for he knew his... no, its death was not permanent. Still weary from his bout he slowly ascended up the step pyramid. The higher he climbed the more the Xibalban mist thinned. Although lightning periodically flashed near the pyramid no thunder followed, adding to the already eerie atmosphere that surrounded this ancient structure. What was he doing here? Was it worth fighting through hordes of the undead and the King of nightmares himself? All because a little black crow told him to come here. He contemplated his situation as he reached the top. A woman, if he would call her that, was waiting at the top when he arrived. The lightning, still silent, flashed violently bathing the strange naked woman in its pale light as she intensely watched it dance across the sky. Mul gripped his weapon tightly which caused the wind to pick up. The women's attention focused on Mul. Her gray skin seemed to be pulled almost too tightly around her body. Giant black angel-like wings flapped and lifted her into the air. Her body dangled limply as her wings carried her closer to where Mul was standing. The woman stood two heads taller than Mul. Her thin black lips pressed together in an unnatural yet friendly grin. Her thin stringy hair blew in the breeze caused by Mul's weapon. She didn't speak a word, and her eyes remained shut as she lifted her arm to reveal what seemed like an apple gripped by long pointed fingers. The lightning flashed even more violently as she held the fruit in the air. She held it up until Mul realized he was meant to take it. He held out his hands and she placed the fruit in his palms. But what Mul held in his hands as the woman let go was not an apple but an infant. The lightning halted as he gazed confused at the helpless child. "What am I supposed to do with this?" He asked the woman. Eyes still closed grinning her unnatural grin she turned. "Wait!" Mul called out. The woman paid him no mind and limply flew off into the darkness. Mul stepped onto the damp soil at the base of the pyramid. He scanned the area for Impetigo's body but it was nowhere to be found. He glanced down at the baby girl now wrapped in fabric torn from his shirt. Her glowing violet eyes shifted to a normal brown as she smiled up at him. He frowned at her, held her closer and headed west.
