Chapter 48 – Eyes!

Erekiel was not getting emotional at all, they really believed in Hakim. There were two options left. Either to surrender or to kill Hakim. Winning the war against Hakim’s army was almost impossible, as we were lacking strong warriors and mages who could fight head to head with cyclopses.

[Erekiel]: Stop provoking me, its useless.

[Me]: I would like to meet Hakim, vis-à-vis.

[Erekiel]: Our prophet meets only the believers of Jahum.

Mana engulfed my body and blowed out of it creating waves of wind in all directions. I began to transform into werewolf. This time I was going for full transformation. It was painful. Insanity was driving me crazy. Lust to kill, there was a craving for blood and meat. Xristiana and Erekiel backed up, seeing me transform.

The funny part of transformation was to walk or stand on four rather than two. It was weird as hands were altered to paws and after transformation it felt unnatural when I thought about what had happened. I had to let go of my humanlike thoughts and my wolf body would act automatically accordingly as if I was born as a wolf.

In wolf form, I was as tall as a centaur. Erekiel was intimidated by my new appearance, I could sense it. He knew that he faced not a human but a top predator which he should be scared of.

[Erekiel]: Demon! Hakim told us of demons and devils!

[Me]: Tell him, I want to talk to him if he wants peace rather than war.

That was the last thing which I told him before I turned my head upwards to the sky and began to howl. It felt so natural and peaceful as if I was sending stress out of my body. Howling lasted another few minutes and after it I changed back to human form.

[Me]: Xristiana, there is nothing left to talk unless Hakim meets me face to face. Let’s go!

She was impressed and terrified by my mutation. I knew she wanted to talk to me but couldn’t come up to say a word as we were walking back to camp.

I could see and sense gazes on me, strange eyes. Werewolf transformation had a reverse effect on my allies. I didn’t care about their well-being that much as my original plan was to get to portal and make sure that it is usable. Accomplishment of the task required sacrificies and some of them would be dead by the time I reach the portal.

We joined rest of the commanding officers in headquarters tent.

[Luna]: You told me you are a human!

[Me]: I am.

[Daniel]: Were we hallucinating? (he had a sarcastic tone)

[Me]: No, but I possess powers that no human has.

[Daniel]: A monster is a monster!

[Me]: If me being a human is going to divide all of us into factions, then think of me as a FAMILILAR of Luna. A summoning. Nothing more, nothing less!

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

[Daniel]: How we know that you won’t betray us?

[Me]: Because, if I wanted you dead, you wouldn’t be speaking to me now!

They were kings, queens, dukes, duchesses, counts, earls, viscounts and so on. They were of noble birth. They were what you would call elite, best of best. But they got their titles and lands by birth not by right. Only Bartholomew had been in a war against creatures of Cursed Lands. All of the people who were standing in front of me were newbies to real war conditions. It would be much more easier if Bartholomew was here.

Situation was tense as is, my talk had negative effect on all of them, so I thought I had to ease a bit.

[Me]: I’m not threatening anyone. I’m stating facts. I’m on your side. I’m with Duchess von Raden. Now, we can talk about what are we going to do against Hakim’s army or we may begin to mourn soldiers, warriors and mages who will die tomorrow.

[Xristiana]: Any plans?

Hakim’s POV

I wanted to be finish conquering human lands without any casualties but it seems the air drakon and two humans who were on it are going to be a problem to me. Whoever he is, he killed two cyclops very easily. I have to recalculate everything to include him and the air drakon. Third one, was not present in battle. He or she, has to be strong enough not to make a move and have sent these two to fight. Maybe that one is useless at all. I have to wait for Erekiel.

[Frojal]: O beloved one, Erekiel is here to report.

[Hakim]: Let him come!

Erekiel comes into the tent set especially for me.

[Erekiel]: Messenger of Jahum, devils and demons what you were talking about were real!

[Hakim]: Jahum knows best, He who has created everything had given me the message to relay to you. No lie or fault can be found in that message. Its perfect!

[Erekiel]: YES! I saw the demon with my eyes. Human turned into a vicious wolf.

[Hakim]: Were you scared of it?

[Erekiel]: yes.

[Hakim]: Come to me. Creation of Jahum come to me!

With slow steps, Erekiel came close to the throne I was sitting on. His front legs bended and he bowed. I stood up and put my right hand on his head!

[Hakim]: Repent! Without Jahum’s will, that demon would not be there. If he is, it means he is a test from Jahum to us. You should fear the Creator not the creation! You should welcome anything that Jahum tests us with! Repent for your sins Erekiel!

Tears came out of centaurs eyes!
