Chapter 2: The Magister!
Elhaym continued to get ready. She donned her underclothes, then walked over to an armor stand. Upon the armor stand was an impressive set of full-plate armor. The pieces were inlaid with intricate designs to mimic lion fur with gold, and the pauldrons were lion heads. On a separate stand next to that was a majestic cloak made of lion fur, with a large golden lion head as the brooch.
“Wow, is this your armor?” Tomoko's eyes (if she had eyes, she felt like she had them) grew wide in wonderment.
“Oho~ Yes yes~ This is my trusty armor” Elhaym lovingly patted the breastplate, then traced a couple of the golden designs with a finger, “Been in many battles with this baby nfufu~”
“So er, Princess Ornstein-”
“Oh, do call me Elhaym, or Elly~ no need to be so formal with me! We are in the same body after all~” Elhaym chuckled.
“Ah, so, uh, Elly, how exactly are we going to get me my own body?” Tomoko hoped it would be a simple process, Elhaym certainly made it sound simple.
“Oh!” Elhaym snapped her fingers as if making a point, “Well we will go see my good friend, the Magister, Edgar Von Engel! He knows a lot about soul magic and can probably help undo what Astra messed up nfufufu~”
“Are we in like medieval Germany?” Tomoko's curiosity peaked.
“Uh no? Germany is in your Universe silly. We're in Crecentia on Terra! You're going to love it here! Why do you ask if we're in Germany?” Elhaym began to don her armor.
“Well, 'Von' is a term in German language means like royalty right?” Tomoko, “Also how do you know of Germany being in my Universe?”
“Oh! Uh, legally I can't speak of how I know aha~” Elhaym made a zipping motion with her mouth, “Something about Astra could get in trouble, nfufufu what a silly Deva she is~”
Tomoko wished she could facepalm in frustration. Elhaym seemed to let on she knew more about these multiverses and the mysterious Astra, but what kind of legal force could she be talking about? Was this some kind of comic book thing that was actually real? Were the Dr. Mysterio comics she read as a child right?
“I can feel you're a bit overwhelmed at the moment, don't worry though my dear friend Edgar will fix you right as rain~” Elhaym continued to don her armor.
Since she was looking through Elhaym's eyes Tomoko continued to watch herself? Elhaym? Whatever... she watched as Elhaym continued, it was at this point Tomoko realized she felt was Elhaym was feeling physically, and maybe even a bit of what Elhaym was 'feeling' like as if she could feel amusement around her. Was this what Elhaym meant when she said she could feel that Tomoko was overwhelmed? She certainly felt so strange in the moment not being in control of anything, yet still experiencing it all as if it really was her body.
“Wait...” Elhaym paused armoring herself for a moment, “Can you feel this?” She poked herself in the cheek.
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
“Wow, yeah! I can feel you poking my cheek? Is it our cheek? Please clear it up for me,” Tomoko wished she could rub her cheek, but definitely felt what should have been a cheek poke.
“Until we get you a body, consider my body as your body! Mi casa su casa? I think that's what they say in your universe right?” And you couldn't be in a safer, more capable body oho~” Elhaym flexed her massive biceps.
Tomoko was surprised, she felt Elhaym's strength as if it was her own strength. And being someone who struggled to open the peanut butter jar that killed her, she actually enjoyed the feeling of feeling powerful.
“Oh wow, we're strong huh? How tall are we anyway?” Tomoko certaintly felt taller than her old body, but wasn't sure.
“Oh, we're a little over halfway to seven feet tall!” Elhaym drew herself to her full height, clad in her armor finally, clasping her cloak around her neck.
“Over six-foot-six?!” Tomoko did a little happy dance (in spirit) she always wanted to be super tall. “Oh wow! This is amazing! I was barely five foot tall in my old body!”
Elhaym chuckled as she put her sword belt on then patting the pommel of a very ornate sword-hilt. “Wait till you see our Papa he's even taller than I!” Elhaym left her room and began walking down the hallway.
“Let's see, Edgar usually stays in the north tower~” Elhaym walked through the castle as if on a Sunday stroll, as if having a second soul inhabit your body was no big deal. She greeted people milling about. Some saluted, some bowed, all showed her immense respect however. Tomoko felt a bit of envy, she was usually the one doing the bowing and the posturing. But then again, this was her body, so technically they were bowing to her too. She mused over this revelation.
“We're here!” Elhaym exclaimed, stopping at a large oak door, a red gem encrusted handle was in the exact center. A lion's head knocker, the ring hanging from its maw, adorned the door a couple feet above the handle.
Elhaym reached out and knocked three times, then two, then three again before just opening the door and walking in.
“Brother Edgar are you in?” Elhaym's voice boomed in the dark room. Suddenly, a warm red glow illuminated the room, revealing a messy laboratory of sorts, books and equipment were strewn everywhere. Upon a large table in the center of the room was a recently cleaned off area with a large piece of parchment laid out. Elhaym walked over to it, careful not to step on anything on the floor and looked at the paper.
Have gone to my Magister Tower in the Northwest. Will return in three month's time.
Love, Edgar
“Aww he remembered to sign with love~!” Elhaym chuckled as she read the note.
“Three months? We have to stay like this for three months?!” Tomoko wanted to rip her hair out. She couldn't possibly live without a body for three months!
“Aw don't worry! We'll go to his tower, it's only week's or so journey! Maybe Fenix will want to come with us~ he's been getting restless living in the castle nfufu~” Elhaym turned to leave the room.
“A week?” Tomoko groaned, although she enjoyed Elhaym being so big and strong at the moment, the feeling of no control still gave her the heeby-jeebies. “Also who is Fenix?”
“You'll see~ He's an Elf and another dear friend of mine!” Elhaym made sure to close the door behind her as she left down the hall. “But first we need breakfast! An empty stomach means no energy for anything!”
“This is going to be interesting...” Tomoko groaned at how weird eating but not eating was going to feel.
