Jamie recoiled back as he realized that Pyr was awake. Their eyes immediately met. "So? Are you going to tell me?" He asked again.
"W-What do you mean? I just went out for some fresh air." Jamie proclaimed.
"Yeah, right. I saw you with another guy at the door. What was that about, hmm?" Pyr quipped as he laid back.
"No one! He's nobody, okay? He's just a knight. I just happened to bump into him in a forest and we started talking."
"Did he.. or did you strike up the conversation?"
"Him. I was admiring the scenery when he suddenly appeared and walked up to me."
"That's dangerous! How can you just let him get close to you, while you were all alone.. in a forest, of all places?!" He exclaimed.
"I.. I don't know. I didn't know what to do at the moment, but he seemed friendly."
Pyr lets out a sigh. "Jamie.. Next time, make sure to tell me where you are going before leaving on your own. You're still a kid. You could've gotten robbed or mugged by him. Anyone could appear friendly to look trustworthy. Then, when you are completely vulnerable, that's when they'll strike."
"Alright.. sorry. I just didn't want to disturb you."
"It's fine. Now go to sleep."
⁂
The day dawned bright and clear. The birds kept on chirping and the breeze was cool. Pyr and jamie lined up for food being distributed by some local volunteers. They noticed that the number of people has increased from yesterday. They had their mouths shut knowing the truth of the circumstances. After being served, they sat down in a corner together, eating.
"You know, Jamie.. I just realized that we only knew a little bit about each other. So, I would love to get to know you more. I have a feeling we'll be together for a while." Pyr commented.
"Oh.. yeah. Sure, we can get along. If I tell you about me, then you'll tell me about yourself." Jamie replied.
"Naturally." Pyr smiled.
"Hmm. how about we do it right now? You'll go first." Jamie proposed.
"Oh, huh. Well, I didn't plan to do it right away. But, if you insist." Pyr didn't know what to say or ask and stayed quiet for a bit. He wanted to avoid sensitive topics if possible. At the same time, it shouldn't be a topic that's boring. He has not a single clue about the blue-eyed boy's interests.
"Okay then. What's your ambition?" He asked, out of all the possibilities.
"I.. never really had one. I have never been into anything. I'll take whatever I can get."
Pyr gulped. He believed that he might have offended him in a subtle way. "D-Don't say that. It's normal to not have an ambition now, especially when you are still a teen. In fact, a lot of people usually sort it out when they're older, you know."
"How about you? Do you have an ambition, Liam?"
Pyr laughed briefly at the question. "It's not really.. an ambition. It's more like a dream, I guess? I've always wanted to be the most powerful mage. I know it is silly, but it was my main motivation as a child. I've heard stories of people being capable of mastering all the elements of magic. Too bad I am not that talented to be the best."
"That's a wonderful dream, Liam. Being the most powerful mage doesn't actually mean you have to be good at everything. I think you can do it."

He approves of his statement. After that, he excused himself to the bathroom. Jamie sat down for a while, waiting patiently for him to return. Meanwhile, he couldn't help but stare at the other people in the room. All of them were in pairs and groups, each with differing age groups. He felt a bit lonely without Pyr with him. Then, two voices next to him caught his attention.
"You wanna know something? This may sound cheesy, but I think you're grate." A deep, low voice spoke.
"Of course, I was made for you. We were meant to be to-feta. " A high pitched, mellow voice replied.
They giggled at their joke. Jamie slowly turns to look at them. At the same time, the man places his hands on the woman's cheeks.
"I.. I can't stop looking at you. Every time I look at your beautiful eyes, it gives me hope through the darkest times. They shine bright like a diamond."
Jamie blushes and looks away. A vision of the boy with the breathtaking, luminous eyes that glows bright pink flashed. He remembers just how gentle his touch was despite having such a strong physique. He wishes that he could also brush his slightly messy, dark wavy hair.
'Why am I thinking about him? We only talked for a couple of minutes and now he's got me dazed. I hope I won't bump into him anytime soon.' He thought.
He closes his eyes, hoping that he will disappear from his mind. He tried thinking about something else but couldn't. No matter what, he kept on appearing. 'Liam, please come back as soon as possible!' He screamed inside.
Out of a sudden, he felt a touch on his shoulder. He opened his eyes to reveal the person he was thinking about, standing before his eyes. He freaked out and hastily looked down. Jamie could hear his heartbeat quickened. 'Wait, why am I acting this way? Is there something wrong with my body?'
"Hey, are you alright? Did you sleep well?" The boy asked.
He stayed silent for a bit but eventually responded. "H-Hi, you. Yeah, I am fine. H-How are you?" Jamie nervously replied.
"I'm doing good. I slept for a little bit earlier before I came here. You on the other hand, look a bit tired. Your face is kind of red too." He explained as he reaches his hand out and caresses his cheek. Jamie closes his eyes, feeling embarrassed. "Uh, I-I'm fine, really. You can take your hand off of me."
"Hmm. Are you.. scared of me?" He replied as he inches closer to his face.
"What?"
"You are shaking. Or are you nervous still?"
He glances to the side. "I mean.. yeah. You are too close to me. Is this how you are with your friends?
The boy withdrew his hand from his cheek. He scratches his head and contemplates on that to say next. He wanted to say something but held back. Jamie stared in confusion.
"I.. don't have any friends..?" He murmured.
"Whaaat?!" Jamie shouted.
⁂
They sat down together, leaning against the wall. Their arms came into contact from time to time. Jamie gazed at him admiringly. When he looked back, Jamie pretended to look casual. The boy tried to reach out his hand again but stopped abruptly. He looked a bit disappointed though.
Jamie started asking questions. "You know, what you said yesterday. What did you really mean by that?"
He looked at him in a state of confusion. "Everything I said, I do mean it. I really wanted to see you again. I told you I'd come here, didn't I?"
"But why?" Jamie curled up into a ball, hiding his face.
"Like I said, I wanted to be friends. I never really had someone to talk to since forever." He said as he tries to grab his attention.
"Is that how you make friends?"
"Uh.. I.. I don't know how."
Jamie peered his head to him. "What.. how? You look like the type to have a lot of friends."
The boy stayed silent. Jamie couldn't help but feel strange. 'Why would you be friends with someone you just met? It's not like I have a lot to offer. And he's got nothing to gain from me. Does he genuinely want to be friends with me?' The thought went through his mind. Jamie didn't know what to make of it but he would also love to have him by his side. Suddenly, he remembered the advice Pyr gave him. 'Maybe he has a secret intention? No wait, he doesn't look like the type to have any bad intentions. I should try and ask him.'
"Hey, do you just want to talk me because you are bored?" Jamie asked.
"I would love to do anything with you, really. If you need someone to talk to, I can listen and give you some tips if you like. I feel like we are going to meet each other for a while."
"So, let's start off with that. If you need someone to be with, I promise I'll always be there."
'What am I saying? That is so corny.' Jamie realized as he said that.
"I would love that!" The boy spoke enthusiastically and smiled.
After that, a blonde boy can be seen walking up to them amongst the crowd. His eyes were cold and sharp, so sharp that it could pierce through somebody. His footsteps got louder second by second. It was Pyr. He has returned.
"Hey Jamie, I'm back." He said as he stared intensely at the boy next to him.
"H-Hi, Liam." Jamie stuttered, feeling nervous.
"Who's this?" The boy next to him asked.
"his friend." He exclaimed.
