Canto VIII-IX

The platform came to stop some way up the hill. The creatures around them continued upwards and out of sight, obscured by a thick fog. The group was presented with a door much like the last one, this time though, it was open and lacked any sort of puzzle that may have previously opened it. The party was particularly careful around the door for fear that it may fall off its hinges like the last. The tunnel they found themselves in opened into yet another vast plain of grass despite the fact that they should be underground. They knew better than to pursue why or how though.

The stone path from before continued and now ran alongside a river. Its silent waters were white with foam as rapids churned its contents. The Traveler turned to Little Man and asked him something.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

“I’ve never fished in rapids before,” he answered, “But fishing tends to be fairly good at their bottom.”

Little man continued to explain the nuances of river fishing as they walked along the river. Soon, the river backed right and followed a short stone wall that spanned either direction off into the horizon. Unlike the river, the path paid no heed to the wall and carved an opening through it. A small sign had been affixed to one side of the wall's gap. According to N-3, it was once again in Italian and translated to the single word, "apart."
