Prologue

The Odi Grand Temple located at the foot of the Alaska snow-capped mountains is one of the nineteen grand temples on the continent that worships the supreme Creator God. The entire temple is built of ivory-white marble. In front of the temple are twenty-four marble columns that require two people to embrace, and the columns are engraved with praises for the Creator God and his followers.

On the top of the temple stands an angel statue, with a soft milky-white magic glow emanating from the wings on its back, enveloping the entire temple.

The construction of the Odi Temple lasted for sixteen years. On the day of its completion, the long cries of thousands of horns were heard in the sky, and petals fell like rain. White holy light descended from the sky, and an angel with wings on its back loomed faintly in the holy light, bestowing the divine art of "Angel's Blessing" on the temple. Since then, the Odi Temple has always been enveloped under the holy light and has also become the only temple among the nineteen temples where the gods showed miracles when it was built except for the Bright Grand Temple where the Pope is located.

Cardinal Brun, who is fifty-five years old, slowly closed the "Sacred Prayer Text" in front of him and ended the evening prayer. The white-robed saintesses of the choir silently withdrew, but the lofty and solemn hymn seemed to still echo in the air. Staring at the flame on the altar, Brun felt an inexplicable restlessness and palpitations in his heart.

When the moon, Modis, had already passed halfway across the sky, Brun finally found the source of his annoyance. Yes, it was Saint Vina who had just come to the temple today. Her face with the beauty of a classic sculpture, her straight little nose, her lips like a carving, all exuded a sacred atmosphere everywhere. Between her every move and gesture, the curve faintly revealed under her white robe seemed to be in front of Brun again.

"That's an angel!!" Brun muttered to himself. He only felt his mouth was dry, but couldn't find water nearby. He muttered a few curses, stood up, and walked out of the temple.

Saint Vina grew up beside the Pope, and no one knows where she came from. This is the first time in seventeen years that she has stepped out of the Bright Grand Temple.

Under Vina's snow-like neck, the sacred white robe couldn't cover the slightest movement, and the fluctuation could faintly be seen. That fluctuation continued to expand in Brun's mind, burning his nerves. For the first time, Brun even somewhat hoped that he was a thief, then he could... Brun gave a wry smile. No thief of any kind could deal with a level sixteen bright mage. He himself has only been a level thirteen bright mage after more than forty years of cultivation in the church. God is still partial!

He looked up at the moon, but found that there was a touch of blood red in tonight's moonlight. While Brun was a little surprised, suddenly his vision darkened, and the holy light of the temple disappeared!

Darkness is definitely one of Brun's most hated things. He suppressed his panic, chanted softly, and drew complex symbols with his fingers, preparing to cast the third-level divine art "Holy Light Art". In addition to dispelling evil, this spell can also temporarily have the effect of illumination.

A black hand etched with countless magic symbols, to be precise, a hand bone, quietly reached up to Brun's throat from behind. With a gentle stroke of the index finger, Brun's "Holy Light Art" no longer had a chance to be cast.

A fully armored warrior stood beside Brun's corpse. It was dressed in a deep black full-body armor and held a two-handed longsword burning with black demonic flames. Only from the hand bone holding the sword could it be seen that it was a skeleton. As its longsword pointed forward, countless skeleton soldiers emerged from the darkness and swarmed towards the temple. Occasionally, an undead knight riding a flaming bone horse rushed out from the darkness and charged into the barracks of the temple knights on both sides of the church.

"What is this!! Guards! Guards! Wake up quickly!!"

With a commotion, the temple knights woke up. There are a total of four hundred temple knights in the Odi Temple. The well-trained knights quickly put on simple armor, separated a part to desperately block the seemingly endless skeleton soldiers at the entrance of the camp, while the others quickly armed themselves. Occasionally, there were already priests beginning to cast spells.

Under the dim holy light in the main hall, there was no fluctuation on Saint Vina's ice-carved face, looking haughtily at the undead mage in front of her.

The undead mage wore a black mage robe, and pale flames burned in the eye sockets.

"I am Rodriguez, the undead mage you have been looking for for three hundred years." Rodriguez's voice rang directly in Vina's heart.

Weina was immediately shocked. With her sixteenth-level light mage's magic power, she could already be said to be close to a demigod. This necromancer could actually break through her mental protection and directly transmit sound in her heart. Doesn't that mean that his mental power has become so strong that it can control her? And this name, the most powerful necromancer Rodriguez, even just thinking about it in her heart would be defiled by his evil!

"Let's take a look at the true identity of the saint!" Rodriguez's voice rang out in Weina's heart once again. The necromancer's eyes blazed with flames, and a cold mental wave rushed into Weina's mind and exploded. Weina let out a muffled groan, and a trace of blood trickled from the corner of her mouth. Immediately after, one mental shock after another directly exploded in Weina's mind.

She staggered and struggled, astonished by Rodriguez's extremely powerful and matchless power. "Why, such powerful evil can escape the eyes of our Heavenly Father??" With the arrival of another mental shock, in the depths of Weina's soul, a surging power burst out suddenly. Hymns praising the god rang out in the temple again, and rays of holy light rushed out from Weina's body, dispelling Rodriguez's mental shock. A pair of pure white wings, with a hint of golden light shining among them, slowly unfurled behind Weina. Under the divine power, Weina slowly floated into the air, and her eyes had completely turned silvery white.

"In the name of the Holy Heavenly Father, I will destroy the evil before me!" Weina's voice at this moment was still pleasant to the ear, but it no longer had the slightest human emotion. With her chanting, hundreds of holy light balls quickly condensed around her.

"Hehe," Rodriguez laughed lowly, "I thought you were just an ordinary angel, but I didn't expect it to be a median light angel. It seems that your Supreme God didn't bless you."

As the light angel's spell was completed, the hymn in the temple suddenly rose sharply, and holy light bombs flew towards Rodriguez like rain. The necromancer tapped his staff, and a grayish-white flame spewed out from around his body, forming a flame barrier. Countless holy light bombs violently impacted the flame barrier, and each explosion made the flame shake and dim a little. In just a moment, the necromancer had already endured the impact of hundreds of holy light bombs, and the barrier was tottering. Just in this moment of respite, Rodriguez's spell had already been prepared. As his finger traced the last magic symbol, with a "bang", his left hand completely turned into bone powder.

A huge magic array emerged on the ground behind Weina, and black flames soared into the sky. In the void above the array, a huge bone dragon's head protruded. The bone dragon stared fixedly at the light angel, and its huge body slowly walked out of the void. Two-thirds of the temple hall had already been occupied by this unprecedentedly huge bone dragon.

Weina, who had completely recovered the combat form of a light angel, should not be afraid of bone dragons, the strongest undead creatures. However, there was an indescribable feeling about this bone dragon in front of her. Ordinary bone dragons definitely didn't have such a large size, at most only two-thirds of the size of this one. The skeleton was pale or dark gray, and due to years of hibernation, it was often covered with dust and cobwebs. This bone dragon was deep black in color, and several faint runes would appear on the bone from time to time. Weina's uneasiness grew stronger and stronger. As a light angel, she should be able to deal with two bone dragons, so why was she afraid.

"No, it seems that I have never heard of a summoned bone dragon before?!"

Vina retracted her wings, and the white robe fluttered without wind. The hymn of the temple reached its peak, and she released the strongest magic of the light angel, "Guard of the Light Angel", and a spherical milky white light shield protected herself.

"I told you before, the Supreme God doesn't bless you." The cold voice of the necromancer rang out in Vina's mind once again. The bone dragon's wing-like structure made only of a skeleton flapped, raised its head to the sky, and a silent roar quickly spread. Outside the temple, the temple knights and clergy who were desperately charging at the undead creatures and trying to rush into the temple seemed to be severely hit. Some of the weaker knights spat out a mouthful of blood and slowly collapsed to the ground. Vina's护壁 also fluctuated for a while and was pushed back several steps.

"Just the dragon's roar is almost unbearable. If it's the dragon's breath..." Vina didn't have time to think carefully and turned around to run away. At this time, the silent dragon's breath arrived. Vina's armor fluctuated violently and flickered on and off. Suddenly, a burst of extremely bright light, almost blinding light, accompanied by a sudden storm, swept through everything in the temple.

When everything calmed down, Vina had already been embedded in the wall halfway up the temple. Her white robe had been torn into shreds, and most of her skin, like that formed by snow and ice, was exposed and covered with bloodstains. As the storm subsided, Vina's body slid to the ground, leaving a shocking bloodstain on the wall.

"Hehe, worthy of being a light angel. After enduring the dragon's breath of the dragon Atestergra, you only suffered a little flesh wound! But now your divine power has been exhausted." Vina spat out a mouthful of blood, barely pulled up the broken robe to cover what was already exposed, and said with difficulty, "You should know that everything you have done today cannot escape the eyes of the Heavenly Father. Even if your power surpasses mine, you will not be the opponent of any main god. Cough, cough..." Moreover, the judgment light will come soon. No matter where you hide, you cannot escape the fate of being purified."

"It seems that you still don't know what I want. As a necromancer, my power has reached the limit of this world. No matter what, the judgment light will come upon me! God will not allow the power that can threaten himself to appear! I have been hiding for three hundred years and don't want to hide anymore! Now, my lovely light angel, give me your soul."

"What! No!!! No..." Vina suddenly screamed hysterically, not having the slightest appearance of a light angel's holiness. The necromancer chanted the incantation again, and the bone of his left arm turned to ashes. As the spell was completed, a figure slowly walked in outside the temple, and it was Bishop Brennan. His usually well-maintained face now showed an iron-blue color, and the wound in his throat had drained all the blood, and the torn flesh showed a ghastly white. Brennan discovered Vina, and his gaze gradually focused on those pair of white, straight, but blood-stained and bruised thighs. The desire before his death was strengthened thousands of times under the effect of the undead spell! A beast-like roar rang out from the bishop's throat and pounced on the light angel.

In several mysterious halls on the mainland, some consciousnesses are awakening from a deep sleep and looking towards the direction of the temple. All the people in Portsburgh wake up from nightmares. Some people walk out of their homes and are astonished to find that the night sky has turned a dim blood red, and the temple that could be seen from afar in the past has disappeared into the night. Slowly, it seems that the entire world trembles slightly.

In the temple, the bishop's beast-like heavy panting reverberates. The golden altar emits a shrill creaking sound as if it cannot bear the burden. White clouds quickly rise in the sky outside the temple and sweep towards the temple. The blood cloud that envelops the temple is soon unable to hold on and is compressed in a small area directly above the temple, but it is still struggling. Angry thunder rumbles in the white cloud mass, and holy light shines through the cloud mass. The undead creatures at the edge of the temple immediately begin to burn under the irradiation of the holy light. Waves of painful and silent cries impact all directions.

The necromancer continuously chants incantations, and the bones on its body explode one after another. The flame in its eyes burns even more intensely, fixedly staring at the intertwined and wriggling body on the altar. With a muffled thunder-like roar, the most evil seed spreads all over Vina's body.

Vina's spirit finally collapses at that moment. The necromancer with only a small half of its body left sees the flame in its eyes brighten, and her skull bursts open. A transparent, yet black qi-entangled little person flies out. The necromancer opens its mouth and spits out a bead, with extremely complex rune arrays floating around the bead layer by layer.

"Under this artifact, the Soul Orb, I see where you can escape, hahahaha!"

The transparent soul of the light angel is instantly sucked into the orb. The necromancer takes a look at the soul imprisoned in the orb, and its deep laughter is like the rumbling thunder exploding in the sky. Then its remaining skull also explodes, and a wisp of black qi drills into the orb.

In the white cloud mass in the sky, pale cyan flames shoot out in strands. The blood cloud has been burned up completely, and Portsburgh is also illuminated as bright as day. The residents in the city stand on the streets, fearing to look at the strange phenomena between heaven and earth.

The holy anthem resounding through the clouds rings out again, and a white pillar of light descends from the sky. The temple covered by the pillar of light begins to burn, and the black qi disappears rapidly in the flames.

In the 682nd year of the Sacred Calendar, the Oedi Temple was desecrated by the undead. The most powerful necromancer, Rodriguez, was judged by the angry gods and reduced to ashes. The Oedi Temple, known as the Temple of Glory, was burned to ruins by the purifying fire.
