Someone's calling me!?
In a sparsely decorated room, a video-game-oriented setup, a desk with a few books; a young boy was having trouble waking up, as if stuck in an interminable dream, sweating slightly.
With a jerk, he opened his eyes, his hair a mess and his eyes black. Despite the fact that he'd just woken up, there was no sign that he was in the middle of a dream; it was more as if he'd forgotten.
Nevertheless, he felt heavier than usual, and after a quick glance - it was so obvious that I'd forgotten all about him.
His sister was under the sheets, sleeping with him, the young boy sighed.
-Theos
-Louise
-Theos
At the same time, a voice called out, the boy's mother, his name was Theos, and the girl clinging to him was his little sister Louise.
Theos gently shook his sister, hoping to wake her up, but without rushing her.
It's really a nasty habit, she should make an effort to break it, with her age it's a real handicap for her; one of the thoughts that ran through Theos when this kind of situation was repeated.
It wasn't the first time.
For as long as he could remember, Louise had been having nightmares, suffering enormously because of them, and sleeping with her brother was the only thing that kept her going through the night.
The common thought was that as she grew older it would stop naturally, now she was 15, they had even consulted about it only her mother knew the result of the diagnosis, but apparently there was nothing serious and the cause was not due to biological dysfunction or anything else, the specialists only had speculations.
The result was a 15-year-old girl who couldn't keep her brother away from her, fortunately the frequency had decreased as she grew older.
After hearing the cute little sound of his sister not wanting to wake up,
he smiled before getting up.

We have to get up sometime.
-We're coming!
Theos was used to this routine; he loved his sister dearly and often wondered what kind of nightmares she might have, and what kind of dreams she had when she slept with him.
He left his sister half asleep.
She'll eventually wake up when she realizes I've slipped away.
Theos walked to the bathroom, ran a bath after he'd finished his business, ran his sister's and was extremely considerate of her.
-Louise, your bath is ready.
Theos and his family lived in a ten-storey building, and although he didn't occupy an entire floor for personal reasons, their apartment was vast: it was on the sixth floor.
The dining room opened onto an open kitchen, and Theos pulled out one of the chairs. Breakfast was already ready, and he could see his mother busy in the kitchen.
-Good morning, Theos.
A beautiful day was taking shape in Theos's heart - can you predict the weather based on someone else's mood?
Theos wondered, and in his heart the answer was yes: the most beautiful woman in the world, his mother, was greeting him cheerfully, and he adored her gentle morning tone.
-Good morning, Mom.
Her straight black hair tied back, her pink apron with the ykc logo and a crudely drawn rabbit, she turned and smiled.
-Did you sleep well, Theos?
Theos, whose full name was Theos Martin, had a rather unusual first name, but it didn't bother him that much.
-Yes, but the awakening was rather heavy.
Of course, he was referring to his little sister, and fortunately for him, she wasn't there.
She approached the dining room and took a seat opposite Theos, watching him eat his breakfast.
-Louise", she said, Louise being her family name, and she amused herself by guessing the reason for Theos's current reaction, which wasn't difficult as he was greatly preoccupied with his little sister.
-Right on the money," said Theos.
His mother sighed in exasperation.
-So these nightmares have started up again.
It was quite natural to consult a shrink, a specialist in this kind of situation, but everyone had their own opinion on the matter, and the reason was becoming increasingly obscure-and what about her strange bond with her brother?
She waved her hand as if to erase all the thoughts growing inside her, to attend to her son.
-Eat or you'll be late.
Theos's mother smiled, and he smiled back.
-I forgot I was running a little late; after eating his breakfast, he went
back to his room to get his things, Louise had just woken up in turn and had certainly taken her bath, her slightly wet hair testifying to this, she was heading for the living room.
In the corridor, she stopped in front of Theos, who did the same. Louise was slightly agitated; she had something to ask me, he thought?
As a brother, Theos always fulfilled his sister's requests, the bond between them was strong and unusual, his sister was always reasonable in her requests and even if she asked the impossible, Theos would certainly consider the matter.
-Well, I wouldn't want to bother Mom about it, I need some money!
He'd understood what his sister needed, now he hid in silence in order to admire a side of his sister, a little embarrassed by his own request - look at that face, your big brother's not a wallet on wheels.
He couldn't refuse his sister anything, especially for such a reasonable request.
-Do what you always do, but don't ruin me, Louise.
He didn't ask what the money was for - Louise certainly had her own reasons - or how much she needed. Theos was a conservative type who always had money around, and knew how to manage his needs.
-Yes, big brother," said the girl cheerfully.
Say it again.
The girl smiled at her brother again, and Theos wondered if his sister didn't possess the ability to read his mind.
He stroked Louise's head.
Still, perhaps she should have remained a child forever, and thinking about his sister's psychological state, Theos felt a complicated mix of emotions grow. -Is it my fault she's not losing some of her habits?
Seeing her all embarrassed, he realized he was late. -I'll get it; he retrieved his bag and left.
Leaving the apartment, he took the elevator and greeted the few people getting off at the same time as him.
His high school wasn't far away, so he could afford to walk, but the distance didn't make him any less late.
He began to walk at a steady pace; -I'm not going to run either, lest I get covered in sweat.
