Prologue

It's 2053, and the world is dead.

How? Simple, the humans destroyed themselves. They're straightforward. They wake up, go to work, eat, and then go back to sleep.

And, they always wanted a fight.

World War III came thirty years ago. Armageddon came a decade later.

So it was not a surprise for anyone besides the humans that two-thirds of their race was wiped off the planet in a single second. Because no matter what any of them said about world peace, they always depend on war.

Well, at least humans know when to stop. They signed their peace treaties, destroyed all their weapons, and it all stopped. Too bad it was only after two-third of the world was destroyed.

But it wasn't just the ones who died in Armageddon that died, for everyone else stopped living.

Of course, everyone still does work. They still sit in their boring stalls and type their life away.

But what makes them so different from animals?

Humanity is always evolving. They always create, no matter what it's for.

So, what happens when they stop thinking? What makes them different then animals?

Nothing.

Eighteen years ago, the human race stopped thinking because the only reason they strive to create dead. They created for war; for their love ones; to make the world better. How do you make the world better when it's already destroyed? Humans are too scared to put their feet forward and continue walking down their road in life.

So they stopped, in the middle of the road. There are no cars to run them over because everyone else has the same thought; To stop. They have not a speck of fear towards death because everyone is already dead inside. Humans are too scared to see what they could create because what was made ended up destroying the world. What's the point in continuing?

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

They continue their cycle of eating, working, and sleeping of course.

But when they stop thinking, stop creating, they are nothing more then zombies.

Let's say the world is a clock, and humans are its gears. A few gears can stop, because there are always others to start them back up or to replace them.

But what happens if they all stop? The clock stops ticking. The clock is now rendered useless.

Yet even when the clock stops, time never stops running. The clock stops ticking, but the space around it continues to change and grow.

Even when every single human stops, it doesn't mean the world is going to cease to exist. They're still going to be bad things that happen.

For every zombie apocalypse, theirs always a virus. A reason why they are all mindless animals.

Well, who's always brainwashing their people? The government.

It's easier to control the people when they're all tame animals. They tell the people lies, propaganda, put the extreme.

So now, they government can do whatever it wants.

Create whatever mass destruction they wanted. Break as many laws as wanted. Create the most horrifying experiments, humans experiments included. (You would think they actually wanted to make a zombie virus)

But in a zombie apocalypse, there are always survivors; People that always fight back. The governments tries to subdue them, yet they continue fighting. So they try to kill them, but they're survivors who keep fighting, hanging on to any spirit of life they have left, so they don't die.

The survivors get angry, they began to do bigger things; Crimes. Its so easy to rebel in a world of mindless people.

Eventually you have a whole big group of criminals.

They created a mafia, one that stretched its control around the world.

The government continues to destroy them. But every time they died, they always somehow resurfaced again.

The Asher family was the head of the whole mafia. They're the ones that the name came from. Every time they die, they would rise up again. The phoenix always rose from it's ashes; From ashes, they rose.

Yet this isn't the story of the government, the people, or the mafia.

It's how the world clock truly got destroyed; It's the story on how the world truly died.

Two thirds of the world was wiped out in the great disaster of Armageddon. Now, twenty years after that, the final third was about to go as well.

This is the story of a world that has finally came to a stop.
