Notes on the new world written by Ben for Joan
-Skills that were gained at the beginning seem to be based upon what each person was doing at that time.
-Classes gained at the beginning seem to be based upon skills or attributes that each person has.
-Attributes don't come from levels like in games but from classes. Learn a new class or advance a class to get more attributes. Better class better attributes.
-Mana energy is everywhere is a part of everything. You can discover your core by opening your spatial storage, using a system skill, casting a spell, etc....then tracing feeling how the Mana Energy is pulled from your core you can work out how to access your energy and core.
-New skills are gained or learned by using an existing skill, trying something new, imagining the desired effect while accessing using Mana Energy from your core. Intent or what you desire seems to be a part of this.
-Battle skills seem to appear during fights when you let instinct guide you or use training you already have.
-Not all creatures are immediately hostile or aggressive. At least those below level 4 so far.
-Some creatures seem to be smarter as they level up. Do they have attributes?
-The first thing you kill even if it is a mosquito, a rat, or a person bumps you up to level 1. After that you need to kill creatures around your own level. for example if you are level 1 you will get credit for killing level 0, 1, and higher but if your level 3 killing lower levels is useless and does not seem to help or you need to kill so many it is pointless.
-There is a map feature, very cool, shows where you have been and what you can see? Distracting to leave it open. Access by saying Open Map.....
-Normal stuff doesn't go into your inventory Spatial Storage. Look for a way to do this. (I don't want to say or think spatial storage. Look for the settings and you can change the name of things)
-Creatures sometimes have valuable bits, these items can be stored in storage.
-Getting to level 3 is easy, kill lots of little things. Be careful! A pack of something will go into a frenzy and might get stronger than you.
-It is possible to convert basic items to system Items, requires a skill or class.
-There is a way to form a party, but I haven't figured it out yet. The option showed up in my screens after I traveled with The Raven Corbie for awhile. Not sure what the benefits are.
----------------------------------------
Classes have at least five types I have discovered so far. I think there are more....
Basic - Starting classes and created classes.
Advanced - An upgrade from the starting class or a new created class.
Combination - Joining two classes together.
Unique - Requires high attributes or specific skills.
Superior - The next one above Advanced.
Next?
Advancing a basic class to an advanced class took 5 class points. Combining an advanced class and a basic class took 7 class points but the notifications mentioned the new class was equivalent to a Superior class....Class points show up each time you level, 1 point per 1 level.
When advancing a class you can choose skills you have learned to advance with the class. The chosen skills may change or modify your class. Also one skill can be chosen to become passive? I choose stealth for the passive and it now seems to be always on automatically active when I am using the new class and I can use it from my other classes if needed, it is not passive from.
Attributes don't automatically work. A strength of 1 seems to be might be human standard but if you have a strength of 3 you can lift a car up but you don't know you can so it only works if you understand you are now strong enough. Perception is similar, a perception of 1 doesn't mean much but a perception of 4 allows you to perceive small details at a farther distance, or sense a threat nearby. but if you don't concentrate on using the higher perception attribute it doesn't help.
Some attributes seem to overlap each other or assist with skills.
If you want to cast magic figure out how to access you Mana Energy and try!
----------------------------------------
The menus, pop-ups, notifications, noises, area map, tabs, etc. are all controlled by thought....they can be moved around, turned off, adjusted, re-positioned, etc... best way to tweak it is to make changes as you need. At the very least move everything out of the way and adjust the notification noises down.
Best example is dragging your menu and notification system to your left or right, It will move? slide sideways and position itself out of your normal area of sight. if you adjust the transparency and size you can add the ability to see around and kind of through the screen giving you sideways? vision.
Dragging your map feature to your opposite side and adjusting the transparency allows you to see mostly behind yourself.... takes perception or intelligence i think so you don't get vertigo.
I've seen people controlling their menu's by touch, but that seems stupid.
Noises can be turned down or off. the dinging is annoying
You can rename, remove, and change most things in your screens menu system. For example my Spatial Storage has been renamed Inventory.
----------------------------------------
Monsters give experience and drop cores as treasure. Cores become larger or more potent the higher level the beast. Colors of cores signify something energy type? Attribute?
People give experience and drop their system bought items items stored in their Inventory when they die. Items equipped by them are still equipped by them. Mana Sight attribute can help find magical? system? items. Other peoples stored items can be stored in your own inventory just fine.
-I've seen a person drop a core when they were killed instead of items. The core was different than a beasts core.
Critical hits can disable or kill enhanced creatures. The Luck and Perception attributes seem to help.
In a battle when cores drop, the creatures in the area will sometimes go mad to get the core and sometimes will go into a battle frenzy when they have eaten a core that dropped nearby. Cores will level creatures that eat them. Swallow them?
Creatures gain additional attributes / powers / abilities with each level. My identify skill shows some of the information, my advanced identification skill adds even more information. words like Added words like shocking or digger might mean they use electricity or have claws for digging.
There are beasts not native to earth in places. not sure if these are evolutions from our earth animals or if stuff was added. I've also seen creatures that seem to be a mixture of animals or insects. BE CAREFUL
