The Soldier
An adaptable combatant with versatile training. In other words,
a common foot-soldier. Better than some at leadership, and
better than most at coping with the horrors of combat. Not the
greatest at handling life’s more delicate situations.
Traits
(Bloody Conscience): You’ve seen plenty of horrors in your life. A few more won’t be the death of you.
(Dark-Minded): You’ve seen and done things most people never have to. They don’t understand how you think. Ignorance is bliss, after all. Though, occasionally, your calmness during desperate situations can be reassuring.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
(Laborer): Repetition has permanently drilled certain skills into you. You’re capable of performing most laborious tasks with relative ease, so long as it’s simple enough.
Starting Items
Longsword: A fairly standard sword. There’s nothing special about this one. You’ll have to make up for that with skill.
Spyglass: A glass for spies. Observe objects of interest from a distance.
Map: A map of unremarkable quality. Shows you how to get from your garrison to Willowknot, and outlines a few known points of interest.
Army Rations: Enough to keep you fed for the trip to Willowknot, and a short while after, even if they’re nearly inedible.
Plate Armor: Basic iron plates, to make expendable soldiers go farther. Thankfully, they seem sufficient at keeping you safe from most conventional threats.
