*씨발, I was stuck on some problems with the table for a while. Anyways, this chapter will mostly be an info dump.*

The king clapped his hands enthusiastically. “I expected no less from the summoned heroes! I would prefer to help you slowly transition to this world, but time is of the essence, so we will start immediately. Now, did your world have any form of magic?”
All three of them shook their heads no.
The king sighed. “That’s unfortunate. This will take longer since you have no experience. First things first, try saying ‘status’, outloud. Saying it will display a screen of your stats and abilities. Saying it outloud will display a screen everyone can see, saying it in your head will display a screen only you can see.”
“Status!”

Hero-Grants 50% affinity in light and another element
-Leveling up grants twice as many stat points
AnomalyYou have somehow gained 50% affinity in one of the divine elements, aether.
Even the gods are unsure how you managed to do this, making you an anomaly of this world
King Creon’s face had a look of shock.
“What’s wrong?” Astrid asked him
“I knew you heroes would be special, but this is borderline too much! Raising affinity is extremely difficult; just reaching 50% is considered the apex of elemental mastery. And you all have 50% affinity in two elements! Jason even has it in three! Just imagine if you could raise it to 100%. You’d be invulnerable to that type of magic! Some elements also grant boosts that don’t show up in the status window. Water increases your healing power by the percentage of affinity you have. Earth increases your defense by the percentage of affinity you have. Light increases health regeneration, the percentage of affinity correlating with what percentage of your health you can regenerate in an hour. Fire increases your critical hit damage by the percentage of affinity you have. Since we're on the topic of critical damage, luck represents your critical hit chance. You’ll increase it every ten levels, but it will never exceed 75%. Aether…...I’m not sure what aether does. In fact, I’ve never even heard of that element. Perhaps, Jason, you can go through the royal archives later and see if you can find anything on it.”
The three heroes sat there quietly throughout the king’s explanation, trying to soak up as much information as possible about this strange, new world.
Jason noticed a translucent window above the king’s head.
Name:CreonLevel:??
The king noticed Jason gazing at the top of his head.
“Oh, I almost forgot. Every being will have an abbreviated window above their head. If it’s a monster that’s not special, the window will say its species and level. Other than that, it will say their name or a title, and their level. There are ways to hide your name, but most don’t bother. If you can’t see what level they are, it indicates that they are a higher level than you, and the number of question marks indicate how much higher.”
?=100 levels
??=200 levels
???=300 levels
“An average human soldier will be around level 100. Those born from a wealthy background with enough resources might reach around level 200, and any human above level 300 is an extremely talented expert that even I would show respect to.”
Just as the king finished, the room suddenly grew cold. Suddenly all the lights went off, and the only source of brightness in the throne room came from moonlight streaming in through the windows.
Sensing something was wrong, the king yelled, “Guards!”
A group of five men dressed as paladins burst into the room with their shields raised and swords drawn, encircling the king and the heroes. A light blue glow emanated from their blades, leaving a trail as the swords moved through the air. On their shields was a golden lion, the crest of the House of Creon. A mix of anticipation and dread flooded everyone in the room, as a vortex of mana spiraled towards a wall. The mana eventually stabilized, assimilating back into the air, leaving a circular portal on the wall. No one moved, it was as if time had stopped. And then a humanoid figure stepped out the portal and into the throne room.

Tell me what you guys think about the color of question marks correlating with how high someone's level is. I based it mostly off the rarity system in GW2, and if it's a pain remembering it I could change it to the number of question marks. If I do change it to question marks, it'll probably be
?=100 levels
??=200 levels
???=300 levels
