Dante pressed his thumbs together holding his index fingers out to make a W.
"Burning hands." He spoke and for a few seconds his hands became a flame thrower as a cone of flames erupted from just in front of his thumbs. The flames spread out and washed over the ground in its path. One could barely hear the popping of insects over the roar of the flames.
Then came the blue box.

5/1,127 creatures cataloged...
"Holy shit! This is...well it isn't a great experience but it's certainly good! Averages out to a little more than... 10 or 12 exp per bug. The other stuff isn't bad either." Dante exclaimed before making a thoughtful expression as the others crowded around him trying to view his blue box.
As other's made their way over he decided they were likely going to be at this a while and so he took a second to flip on Meditation for a bit of training while they grinded some exp.
Others walked over to view his blue box but found they couldn't without his permission. Except his parents that was, it seemed they didn't need his permission to view his boards.
That was interesting. So you could walk around in public with your status out and no one could read it.
Good to know.
Perhaps it had something to do with trust? Something to keep in mind for later.
Dante focused on the hundred plus dead insects on the ground and an idea struck him.
'If I had a large bucket I could probably collect them up, smash them and use the result as a poor nutrient mix for plants but...'
Skill, Farming, has leveled up! Lvl. 15->18...
Congratulations! You have obtained the affinity, Earth!...
Congratulations! You have acquired the four basic elemental affinities!...
The Road of Elements I have opened to you!...
You are awarded the title, "Elementalist I"...
Elementalist I- A title granted to those who passed the first hurdle and obtained the four basic elemental affinities. +10% power to effects involving the four basic elements, caused by you...
Dante raised an eyebrow and nodded in appreciation. 'Knowledge of modern farming for the win, and a nice little boost to boot!' he thought with a smile. Then he thought, 'Why not?' He considered for a moment if it would be worth more to keep the bodies more or less intact before he realized that would likely be an exercise in futility.
"Alright, new plan." He said with determination as he opened one of his empty inventory slots and got to work. Each insect was no more than a single pound save for the largest of them. The soldiers he surmised. Regardless, each was well within his ability to lift with telekinesis. To about the same degree, crush.
This was how he would train himself and his telekinesis. With this he could train the skill, and earn exp from exterminating the bugs. Speaking of exterminating.
Congratulations! You have obtained the Title, Arcane Exterminator I...
Arcane Exterminator I- By magical and extraordinary means you have slain 100 insects that had monsterized. +10% damage against vermin of all kinds...
Arcane Exterminator I Road has opened to you!...
He smiled knowing he would likely be getting the title fairly high by the end of this. But did it scale how other things in the system scaled? That was the question? This one had unlocked at 100. Would the next be at 250 as the Apprentice road had unlocked at 250 skill levels?
Well, one way to find out.
He would mentally reach out with the skill and grab a group of insects, be they living, dead, or a mix, move them over his open inventory and then crush them. When there were enough crushed insects to cover the bottom of the cubic inventory slot he turned his attention to trying to crush the remains into a more powdered form.
For a minute or two he simply tried pushing down on them with his telekinesis but that wasn't as effective as he wanted.
+1 Int...
It took a moment but when he thought of how wheat was milled into flour he realized how to do it. He began to imagine a wheel moving around the center of the cube, crushing the insects into finer and finer powder. He could ignore the occasional bit of dirt or rock that made its way in.

+1 Wis...
It suddenly occurred to him that maybe he could try making giant bread loafs in his inventory.
+1 Wis...
"Making the dough is the easy part, but how to bake it?" He mused, smiling as he remembered the scene from Lilo and Stitch where Stitch had baked a huge cake. Putting fond memories aside and returning to the task at hand he continued picking up the burned termite bodies left on the ground as they passed.
He quickly ran into a problem however. He couldn't put as much focus as he needed into each task if he tried to do them all at once. When he tried everything just stopped, like his mind was a frozen computer.
Slowly however he kept at it and though it slowed him down considerably he eventually got what he had been looking for.
Congratulations! You have earned the Uncommon passive skill, Multitasking Lvl. 1...
Multitasking- Allows the user to perform more than one task at a time with a slight increase to efficiency. Number of tasks able to be performed simultaneously increases with skill level and INT. Efficiency of multitasking increases with skill level. Efficiency cannot exceed your normal efficiency at the given task.
Maybe he should buy a box set of that show, How it's made. Seemed like a great way to learn how to make a lot of stuff. Which meant a lot of skill levels, and probably new skills.
As time wore on he saw the others stop casting and move on to using their other skill or simply take a break. That's when he realized it.
He was an outlier here.
He was one of the few people in their group who could cast Burning hands more than a dozen times before their mana ran out. Most of the other's in the group were physical fighters and therefore had much lower mana resources than the casters of the party. Even his dad whom was a half caster as a paladin couldn't cast that many times.
No, much of their points had gone towards increasing their physical stats.
As opposed to Herald, Hannah or his mom who had dedicated much of their points to be better able to make use of magic.
Then there was him, the outlier.
He could cast the spell dozens of times due to his large mana pool. He might even be able to cast it a few hundred times if you included his regen and the time needed to actually cast that many times.
He was casting once every 30 seconds or so as he cleaned up after everyone else and trained his skills at the same time.
He was more a generalist than anything. Despite his leaning towards being a mage, his highest stats were still his physical ones on average.
Dante continued to muse as an hour passed and just about everyone decided they were sick of killing bugs. Though the gains were nice.
Congratulations! You may now choose a new feat!...
Depending upon your choice a quest may be required to obtain the chosen feat...
Dante paused reading the notices as he thought back to the quest he had.
"Run Iron skin for 1 continuous hour..." he paused doing some math before he realized he was still more than a hundred stamina per minute away from being able to complete the quest. That was if he included the current bonus from meditation. Leveling that would let him do it a bit sooner. Then again he could just pour some stat points into End to up his stamina and its regen.
Several seconds passed as he did math in his head, a task greatly aided by his many points in INT.
"Fuck I still can't complete the quest....Tomorrow I'll go running around the city to train my running and physical fitness which should help my stamina issue. Running some roads might help as well. Note to self we will train tomorrow to complete the feat quest..." He paused for a few seconds, half expecting a blue box with a quest to pop up but it seemed there would be none today.
'Alright then, keep reading.' He thought turning his attention back to the notices.

He was happy with what he had gained but was sad he hadn't gotten multitasking sooner.
Mana well seemed like a damn useful skill but horribly limited. Likely it would take a considerable amount of time to level the skill but it would be invaluable to his party. If he could replenish the mana reserves of the other casters in the party, that would help their survivability immensely!
Not that he thought they should be taking unwarranted risks right now.
Not a moment later Dante watched as Jacob collapsed to the ground, his body experiencing a considerable amount of resource fatigue.
"Damn fatigue...*Huff* *Huff*...Even with a skill that lets me gain mana from consuming those bugs, fatigue still...sets in." He said in between deep breaths.
"Well what do you expect? You have been going for an hour!" Dante spoke with a bit of mockery.
"Yeah, Jacob. You guys got that exterminator title too right? What did you all..." So the conversation went on, each sharing how many levels they had gained, what level they had gotten the title to and such.
The average gain came out to about 8 class levels, and Level 6 in the exterminator title.
That was if you didn't count Jacob.
"Hey Jacob, how high did you get the arcane exterminator?" Dante asked, seeing him sit up off the ground.
Jacob looked at him a moment then looked to the others and with a shit eating grin he spoke.
"20 class levels, got my Bug Eater title to 9." He laughed in sheer delight, as everyone ran to congratulate him.
