Lopez Library

Gabriel and Justin then returned to the lobby where Francis and Nora were. Eliza and Victoria went to explore the hotel shortly after Gabriel and Justin went to the kitchen. They climbed the hotel's oak stairs, which seemed less dusty and were less worn. However, there was a green liquid on certain steps. They reached a corridor lit by a single lamp, with several doors leading to different rooms.

"I think we found where we're going to sleep for the next few days," Victoria said. Eliza didn't reply.

They went from room to room until they reached one with a sign that read: "Lopez Library." They entered and found a small library; the shelves were old and worn. There were many books and historical records in that place.

"Look at this, it's apparently the founder of Feroville," Victoria said to Eliza, showing a picture of a man with short black hair and a full beard.

"Hernán Lopez, I wonder if that's the reason for the name of the library," Eliza pondered.

"Maybe, but here it says that after arriving in Feroville, Hernán brought the rest of the family and some friends. That's probably the reason, he brought the family, the Lopez," Victoria replied.

"Interesting," Eliza said, as she read a notebook with seemingly scientific information. "Check this out, this notebook is talking about a 'Project A12A01.' Supposedly, the A12A01 is a short blue creature with large fangs. I'm not sure, but this town didn't have very common people."

Victoria was looking at pictures of Feroville when it was still a small village with 12 houses. They were made of wood and were quite simple, clearly constructed with axes. After hearing Eliza, Victoria turned immediately.

"Are you saying there's some creature that we don't know what it is, but it can kill us?" Victoria asked, alarmed.

"Yes, but it says here that they were small, so don't worry. What are these photos?" Eliza said, trying to change the subject.

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

"At least there's that. Anyway, these are pictures of Feroville when it was still a village," Victoria said with a sense of relief.

Eliza recognized a symbol on the door of one of the village's houses—a circle with a triangle in the center and three smaller circles aligned in the vacant spaces of the larger circle, each in one of the three spaces.

"Victoria, this is the symbol that was seen being used by the members of the cult in 1978. Try to find more about this symbol and the guy in front of the house," the man Eliza was referring to had long blond hair, blue eyes, and a well-groomed beard.

"Alright," Victoria said as she went to search for other records or books containing information about Feroville's history.

Eliza looked for more about Project A12A01 but didn't find anything else. The only thing she found was a notebook discussing the discovery of oil in the town and another discussing "Project A10A01." The latter described A10A01 as a thinking being that communicated through electromagnetic waves. Eliza rushed to Victoria, who was also coming over to her.

"Did you find anything about the town?" Eliza asked anxiously.

"I couldn't find much. It seems like someone tried to prevent others from discovering the history of this town, but I found information about that symbol. It was used by the locals to represent unity and cooperation. I also found out that the man possibly goes by the name Rodrigo Lopez; he was a butcher in the old village."

"Wow, this town really hides something," Eliza said thoughtfully. "I found something about the supposed Project A10A01—a thinking being that communicates through electromagnetic waves."

Victoria was about to respond when they heard a loud crashing sound. Suddenly, a white humanoid figure appeared, with a large toothless mouth and no eyes. They ran toward the door, but the creature was faster and stood in front of them.

"What the hell is this? It looks like the chupacabra," Victoria said in panic.

"If this is really a chupacabra, which I doubt, we won't have too much trouble; we just need a beam," Eliza said, concerned, as she dodged an attack from the creature—an attack with its tongue.

"Okay, but where are we going to find a beam in a library?" Victoria asked, worried and panicked.

Eliza ran to a bookshelf, tore off a board with ease due to the fragility of the shelves, broke it in half, and jammed it deep into the creature's mouth, eliciting a high-pitched, shrill cry of pain.

"Oh my god, what a relief," Victoria said, sighing and wiping sweat from her face.

"I think it's a good time to return to the others. Let's talk about the rooms and what we've discovered," Eliza was calming down quietly.

"Alright," Victoria agreed in a serious tone.
