Chapter 18
POV Christopher Skyline, aka Captain Celebrity
I woke up mid-flight being grabbed by the hair at a million miles per hour (AN: America…why do you even use miles?) by none other than the infamous Snowfallen. The last thing I remembered was being hit straight in the face…then waking up just to be hit again.
I tried opening my eyes a bit more but somehow my nose hurt. Oh…it must be broken. I looked above me to see Snowfallen glancing down at me for a moment before continuing her flight with me in tow.
Me: NO!
I punched upwards, using the full force of my telekinetic barrier (super strength). Somehow, my punch went directly through her. It was as if I didn’t even hit anything in the first place. Not even snow.
Huh?
I sent a barrage of blows upward and every single one of them didn’t land…even though it should have. It was as if I was hitting an illusion. Hitting nothing but air. But that couldn’t be! She was right here! Literally dragging me by the hair (which was really beginning to hurt by the way).
I gather all of the telekinetic barrier on my body into my hand as I was planning on an all or nothing. As the barrier receded, I felt myself beginning to freeze from the altitude and the pain from the air resistance cutting into me. Still, I endured as I prayed the attack would land.
Possibly sensing the danger, Snowfallen looked down with a bored expression…only to ignore me once again.
Me: CELEBRITY PUNCH!!
An attack inspired by All Might, I gave it my all as I punched upwards. My muscles spasming in pain and resistance. I prayed I prayed…and it connected.
I felt the solid stomach of Snowfallen and the sound of the bones in my hand shattering against…wait, that wasn’t supposed to happen was it?
A bloodcurdling scream made its way up my throat as I did everything I could to hold it back. The barrier, as I lost focus, jumped right back into position as I harassed my right hand with my left. Holding in my tears as I glared at Snowfallen.
Snowfallen: Such an obvious weakness you know? And people never seem to find out. It’s nothing special. I didn’t even use Haki or Tekkai, at least when I was just blocking. It’s just simple physics.
I stared blankly at her trying to ignore the pain burning in my hands. Physics? I was never one to study.
Snowfallen: *sigh* You truly embody the ignorance of America. I just used gravity to cancel out your attack. By removing the mass of your attack, no matter how fast or hard you hit, there’s no force behind it at all.
Eh?
Snowfallen: The reason your hand is broken is because I felt like giving that force back to you…but with mass. In other words, you attacked yourself.
The air pressure increased in magnitude as I felt like I was being squeezed through a tiny hole. Looking forward, I saw the impossible. Space was bending and compacting as Snowfallen flew through it with minimal effort.
Snowfallen: Not counting that Trump thing, I believe the last time enemies have taken over the capitol was in 1814 by the British Army. I wonder how you’ll react if we make history together.
Me: NOO!!
If I couldn’t strike her, then I’d grab her. Just as I was getting closer, I felt my bones go through a presser. Squeezed and pressed at impossible levels…except there was nothing doing it. It was as if my bones were obeying her.
Snowfallen: My unique skill, Skeletal Dance. Quite useful against individual opponents…most of the time. Now then, we’re nearly there.
How? Could that space bending skill she was using really closed the distance that rapidly? We couldn’t have been flying for more than two hours at maximum!
Snowfallen: Honestly, I’m impressed that you managed to survive my Frozen World Strike, so I’ll be using something stronger to hit you all the way to the White House.

Psychic arms grabbed me on all of my limbs and held me directly in front of her (still flying) in a spread eagle as she prepared for her turn. Her earlier hit had managed to immobilize me and knock me out for a good while…and saying she would use something stronger. What a true monster she is.
My barrier failed against whatever she had. This was up to me then. It was up to my will and determination to make sure I would not die…that I would be up again to defend against her from taking our Capitol.
Snowfallen: Feel honored Captain Celebrity. There are very few people whom I have used Mama’s skill against and even fewer whom have survived.
Snowfallen’s left sleeve burst into a thousand pieces as her left arm began to bulge in size and shape. It grew massively large…until it was larger than herself until it undid the work by itself. The mountain of snow compacted harder and harder until it turned red from the heat…but the snow did not melt. This continued until her left arm was just slightly larger and well defined that her right…but the power I felt from it could not be denied.
A deep dark pink in color, almost black, the air around her arm trembled from the pure energy coming off of it. A pinkish aura surrounding her fist. Black lightning crackled around her entire arm as it circled it continuously.
Snowfallen: I would love to use Mighty Nation, which is directly Mama’s but my body is unfit for such a destructive attack more than trice a day. Also, I don’t want to destroy the entirety of Washington so I’ll be using my own modified version.
Watching as the fist made its way to me, as if in slow motion, it was as if the scythe of the reaper was around my neck. Would I be able to survive this? Probably not.
Snowfallen: If you manage to still survive, I’ll give you a high position in my organization. Now die if you would please! FIST OF ANARCHY
POV Anderson
Waiting in the White House for updates on the situation was a horrible feeling. The feeling of knowing that you were powerless and helpless and could only convey useless orders.
It was like fighting a natural disaster in the early twentieth century; impossible. Even now it was hard; only possible with the likes of Captain Celebrity and All Might as well as specific weather manipulating quirks…but from where we stood, Snowfallen was in a league of her own. She was her own apocalypse.
A few moments later, the screens showing the live footage outside turned entirely blank. Looking at the satellite image, a shockwave equivalent to that of a meteorite strike had just happened in the atmosphere. The center? Right above them where Snowfallen and Captain Celebrity was.
As the room began to hear something coming…something very fast, I knew exactly what was going on.
Me: GET ALL BARRIER AND DEFENSE QUIRK USERS RIGHT NOW!!
The Emergency system blared out the red signal as all agents capable of defense began to charge up and set up barriers. Long distance fighters on the outside began to fire into the white void hoping to slow down Captain Celebrity on his fall.
No such luck.
A second sonic boom was heard, most likely Snowfallen catching up to CC, as the White began to clear and we were able to see what was happening. The screen was refocusing when we saw it…for only an instant.
Approximately two thousand meters in the air a flaming ball of something was falling at mach speed. No time to react as the flame ball shattered directly through the barrier like nothing before going through the roof of the White House… and in front of us.
Lying on the cracked (enhanced) marble floor was the body of a deformed, mutilated, and charred Captain Celebrity. Completely unconscious.Despite this, his slowly rising chest showed that somehow he had managed to survive…though it would seem that it would not last long.
Taking the chance to look at the screen once again, the scene showed a different picture. The agents outside who had been holding up the barrier just moments before were lying on the floor. Bleeding out, bones broken, and some already dead. The walking figure of a girl showed the cause.
Me: Snowfallen…she’s here.
The surveillance cameras turned as they watched her walk slowly and make her way to their location. Even though the many halls and passages were meant to defer her from doing so, it was as if she could sense exactly where they were.
Me: All units stand by the gate. Prepare for Snowfallen.
Commander: Prepare yourselves for sacrifice!
Me: Get the negotiator ready! Get Pamela as well! She must be here by now!
Commander: She’s with Captain Celebrity right now! She’s trying to get him to hold on sir!
Me: Shit…
I looked back at the screen and my heart almost stopped. Right outside the (enforced) steel bunker stood Snowfallen. Instead of trying to guess the password or anything, she as staring right at the camera.
As she turned her attention back to the obstacle, she simply put her hand on the thick iron barrier as it began to vibrate. The shaking got worse as the steel door began to visibly bend in unnatural ways before…
*creak….* *creak…* snap …thud
Calmly, as if nothing was wrong, Snowfallen stepped through the doorway and came face to face with us. All agents having already aimed their firearms or quirks at her, just waiting for me to give the signal.
Snowfallen: It seems you don’t know how to welcome a guest
Me: You were uninvited
Snowfallen: So were you when your forefathers came here.
She looked around in amusement at the machinery and the people as if she was in a museum and admiring the artifacts and rare collections. She moved around the room and touched some of the ‘don’t touch’ signs and flicked a couple of random switches before coming directly before the fallen form of Captain Celebrity. Or rather as close as she could before going through a few men and myself.
It was only then I realized why none of us were able to stop her and even say anything. We were frozen…not quite literally but very close. As if being in the presence of a predator, every muscle in my body refused to move an inch except spasm randomly. My lungs burned as they cried out for oxygen but a single moment of eye contact with the girl and I forgot how to breathe in.
Calm yourself Anderson. If you fall to fear, then all is lost.
I called on my quirk as my body began to change. I became more muscular as my legs and chest began to rip through my suit. A long leathery tail with hair at the end grew out of my lower back as I grew in size and mass. On my neck, a long golden mane grew out as it covered all around my head.
With my transformation into a Lion-man, my instincts kicked in. I was the alpha here. A Lion’s Heart never falters in front of anyone. Not even Snowfallen.
Snowfallen: Huh. A Lion zoan? Shouldn’t you be in a zoo or something?
Me: Enough with your silly antics and leave this place at once!
I growled. My sharp teeth failing to hold in the drool as my saliva dripped onto the floor. Snowfallen, with not even a single shred of fear or doubt, looked more disgusted at my display than impressed.
Me: You come to our country and nearly kill our number one hero who was doing nothing but trying to protect our men! What gives you the right to do this?!
I raised my paw to the side and grabbed my men’s attention. Thankfully, my voice and confidence seemed to break them out of their shock as the light in their eyes returned while others fell to their knees.
Me: Leave this place at once. Leave now before we kill you
Even as I said that, I knew that was the wrong choice of words. ‘Oh shit’ was the thought going through my head as the words rolled off of my tongue. One of the downsides of my quirk was that whenever I was transformed, I was dumber and much more impulsive.
Snowfallen raised an eyebrow at my declaration before shrugging it off before walking towards me.
5 meters. I felt a pressure of some kind begin to build up. Was it fear? Was it adrenaline? I raised both of my paws and got into a fighting stance. I knew I didn’t have much of a chance but I would rather go down fighting than running.
4 meters. My legs were feeling heavier…but that should be impossible! The force I was feeling wasn’t gravity…it was more of a force that was weighing on my mind.
3 meters. I was positively sweating as I dreaded the coming moments.
2. My eyes begin to tear. I can’t see clearly.
1. Suddenly my knees are on the floor with my head looking down. I could see her move right past me.
0. Relief floods me as I realize I would not be dying today…and my head feels very light. Too light. I see the floor coming up to greet me and I see black.
