Extra Chapter (Information)
Hello! This chapter is mainly for NEW READERS but anyone can read for information.
I’m here to mostly give a quick quick update on (last name) Charlotte (First name) Syrup and give her a place on where she stands in the BNHA world.
Usually, smooth crossovers don’t often work well due to power levels and forces that don’t mix, but this works because…quirks. Quirks can be anything (which is why it’s so good) and so just take all her powers as just another quirk.
Charlotte Syrup is a monster when it comes to combat. One Piece is a world where power levels go far far above the realm of MHA. Syrup stands at or very near the summit in the One Piece world which translates to…to her it’ll look like All Might and All For One are playground bullies pretty much.
So what about her morality and ethics? Is she kind? Does she hate taking lives? Here’s the answer. She gives no fucks whatsoever.
As the commander and daughter of one of the most powerful and notorious Pirates in the world, Syrup was sent on missions all across the world to carry out Pirate stuff. This includes going to accept tribute, looting entire nations (remember, Pirates are a different scale when it comes to One Piece), and often-times causing a massacre/genocide when vassals aren’t able to pay up their price. I’m sure some readers are shocked but One Piece, behind the dumb and happy rubber boy, is actually a very very dark world.
So what are her powers? What can she do?
Starting with the basic of the basic. Without any superpowers, she’s already superhuman. Having trained her body beyond limits of mankind, she has reached a point where her quirkless state could probably give All Might a run for his money.
What are some of her passive powers then?
Luck. First of all, she is incredibly lucky and this is not because of plot armor or BS pulled out of her ass. In One Piece, the concept of fate and inherited will plays a massive part in the story. To oppose this seemingly unstoppable force, Syrup has somehow found a way to bring the concept of luck underneath her power. Ever since then, she’s been incredibly lucky.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
Haki. What is haki? It’s going to be a term thrown almost every chapter in this fanfic. Basically, it’s willpower taken physical form. You know Destro, the guy that transforms his stress into power? Kind of like that except it’s always there. You don’t store willpower.
3 main types of Haki and each of them are crucial, important, and something she probably uses the most.
Armament Haki. Wherever armament is, it’ll turn black, have an aura, or some sort of coating. Hits harder and hits anything. Imagine hitting fire…you can’t since it’s just energy but with Haki you can hit it. Also, hits harder as well.
Observation Haki. As the name implies, it opens another sense of sorts. Syrup is a true master at observation as she can see almost anything if she focuses in the range of a city. In addition, in a fight she can see a couple seconds into multiple futures. This ability she trained (mercilessly) has helped her continuously fight stronger and stronger opponents in the past.
Conqueror’s Haki. Many people believe it’s just cannon fodder remover but it’s so much more. Basically an explosive aura. Call it bloodlust, or pressure, or anything. In its most basic form, it can knock out weaker opponents immediately. Call signs would be lightning, crackling sounds, things nearby breaking, and immense pressure. Can imbue this into attacks for more power and effect.
Quirks.
A Snow Quirk…or rather now it’s Frost Quirk. She can summon, manipulate, and become snow. Through her continuous training, she can turn snow into ice and other forms and also in truly balance-wrecking quantities. Also, I mentioned she can become snow. As a logia (a One-Piece term), that basically means she is immune to physical attacks. Try punching snow…well…kind of useless isn’t it? This is why haki exists in One Piece.
Kitchen Quirk. The most broken, OP, ridiculous power to have ever existed in One Piece…but taken one step further. Basically, the user summons an area around her where she can almost play god. Anything that goes in a kitchen, you can do…and also space fuckery.
Teleportation, swapping places, destroying things into atomic particles, warping space, gravity manipulation, telekinesis, miniature black holes. You name it…she can probably do it after some practice.
Then the kitchen abilities. Heating the place up like an oven, freezing it down like a blast freezer. Chopping stuff up? Grinding it up in a blender? As far as she’s concerned, the opponents are nothing more than ingredients on a chopping board.
Of course, such an overpowered ability must have a drawback; this is if the opponent has a strong willpower to survive, beat her, escape, whatever, then they can resist it…to an extent. Also this ability draws on her stamina (not that anyone in this world can drain her of that though…) So yes…very broken ability. Cool thing? This ability actually exists in canon but was so broken that Oda (the author) had to nerf it later on.
Luck + Time Quirk. No, she cannot manipulate time. She can’t turn back time or anything but she can use this on herself. Basically, the younger she turns herself, the more power is given to her permanently. She can (vise-versa) make herself older in exchange for temporarily losing power…and turning back younger from that form will not grant her any strength. So it’s a game changer ability that can only be used once she’s willing to be a child again for years on end. She won this ability by gambling with Luck…actual Luck, not luck.
Mimic. An ability bestowed upon her by the almighty (??) himself as compensation for reincarnation into the One Piece world. Anything she senses, she can use mimic and fully understand how it works. She obviously cannot copy any quirks due to their body structure and things, but martial arts or strengthening techniques? She’ll absorb them any day.
Due to this ability, she is a walking death machine. Especially ever since she understood how to use ‘the 6 Marine Styles’ and ‘Vibration Fist’.
For new readers, I understand this is a lot to take in but the reason is because there is an entire book behind this one. It’s not something I’m pulling out of my ass in one go. She had developed this ability steadily and one at a time, mastered it, and made it her own.
Still, I hope this helps you all understand for the story to come. Thanks for sticking by to read this info dump and here we go!
