Chapter 64 Song Village Part 8

Chapter 64 Song Village Part 8

Chi!

Li Shunxi fiercely rolled on the ground, narrowly dodging Gong Ruqing's fatal sword stab at his neck.

Momentarily at a loss, he knew the method to dispel possession but it required the target to be still. Now without help, impossible.

Amidst continuous dodging, hurried footsteps suddenly rang out to his surprise.

Li Shunxi anxiously looked over, shockingly Lusheng walking out from the darkness with an expressionless face.

Li Shunxi was overjoyed.

"Brother Lu, come help!"

Lusheng's expression didn't change, carrying a long saber while glancing at the rolling Li Shunxi below.

"Save me!!" Gong Ruqing also pounced at Lusheng with tearful eyes and torn clothes barely concealing her alluring body.

"Quick, hold her down! I can dispel the possession!!" Li Shunxi leapt up, rushing at Gong Ruqing.

"Turning soul return to peace..."

Puff!!

Before finishing the scripture, Lusheng's saber diagonally slashed.

Brilliant saber radiance shot out like a stream of clear spring amidst the darkness, pure and limpid. A single slash bisected Gong Ruqing from head to toe.

The crescent blade instantly divided the living beauty into two halves. Before Li Shunxi could react, Lusheng's foot shook as his upper body muscles swiftly bulged larger, clothes tearing apart. A red line rushed from his chest up to his forehead, forming a zigzag pattern at his brow.

Shua!

His long saber whipped up a storm, seemingly within the backyard. Lusheng smashed a guard away with the saber's spine before charging at Li Shunxi in two steps.

Just then, an identical figure likewise shot out from Li Shunxi's side.

Boom!!!

The two burly, fierce figures collided in midair.

"Roar!!"

"Ao!!"

At practically the same time, both issued deafening beastial roars while pouncing at each other again.

Dang dang dang!!

Numbing clangs violently exploded around Li Shunxi.

Ka cha!

A lightning flash streaked the sky, instantly illuminating the two exchanging moves.

Compared to before, Lusheng seemed to have grown another size with bulging muscles, disheveled hair and his long saber smashing relentlessly like a warhammer.

Yet the other equally blocked every strike.

Li Shunxi horrifyingly peered closer. "Cor...corpse?!" Breaking out in cold sweat.

"Run!" Duan Meng'an inexplicably ran over, supporting him away.

That other remaining guard also had a deathly pale face, quickly following them to avoid this place.

The one exchanging moves with Lusheng had an ashen corpse-like body fully exposed outside, rotten muscles and veins faintly black clearly visible.

Eyes completely white and taller than normal people with seemingly frail stature. But explosive strength bordering on terror.

Lusheng's inner force circulated madly with Blood Arts at near limits. Barely evenly matched.

Dang!

Another fierce chop at the corpse resulted in Lusheng's sharp blade harmlessly clanging off under the huge strength.

"Don't believe it!!" Fury rose within Lusheng, about to utilize the Black Tiger Jade Crane Skill.

"Go! That's a corpse, can't kill something with copper skin and iron bones!!" Li Shunxi anxiously yelled from afar.

"Corpse? Can't kill?" The blood character on Lusheng's forehead grew clearer. Gripping his saber with whole body force focused on a single point.

"Tiger Death!" His sole comprehended saber move and most powerful killing blow.

This Tiger Death gathered his peak Blood Arts inner force. Under the moonlight, seemingly a silver snake blast, accurately striking the corpse's crown.

Dang!!!!

The quivering blade fiercely shook atop the corpse's head, vibrating.

Boom!!!

Under the huge force, the blade astonishingly exploded into countless fragments, spraying over the corpse.

Within the fragment rain, Lusheng discarded the hilt with hands as red as blood. Heart Splitting Palm fiercely struck the corpse's forehead repeatedly. "Die!" Lusheng roared, peak Blood Arts surging with whole body force straightforwardly pounding the forehead.

After the final palm, Lusheng withdrew seeing the caved in face of the sent-flying corpse full of embedded blade fragments, extremely miserable. It roared before rolling several laps after landing, whole body seemingly steaming red hot with head even emitting white fumes and burnt odors.

Roar!!!

The corpse thrashed about before finally roaring out and shockingly melting into a puddle of black water.

White fumes still emitted from Lusheng's palms. After landing, he deeply exhaled sending plumes of white vapor for seven to eight breaths until completely expelling the waste air within.

His body also gradually recovered normal size and the bloody character slowly disappeared.

"Brother Li, fine?" Lusheng asked Li Shunxi standing together with Duan Meng'an.

Li Shunxi gawked thunderstruck with flushed ears, still yet to recover from the earlier frenzy. "F-fine... thanks Brother Lu for saving me..." He hurriedly stammered out.

Finally settling down, grief and indignation suddenly rose remembering the bisected Gong Ruqing. "Why so ruthless Brother Lu?! That Gong Ruqing was a living life! If possessing such strength earlier, why not take it out sooner?!"

Lusheng now walked closer re-donning his coat.

"What strength? I don't know any exotic arts. That was Gong Ruqing? Possessed isn't that a ghost already?"

"Don't know? Joking Brother Lu? Don't know yet can beat a corpse alive?" Li Shunxi angrily retorted.

"I don't know what corpse or no corpse. Just kill whatever monster it is." Lusheng inexplicably glanced at him.

"Possession is still human! Ghostly beings are ghostly! Possession is just embodiment! Expelling it reverts them human!" Li Shunxi was astonished.

"Possession means ghost. Ghosts must die." Lusheng seriously corrected him.

"But that's human! A living one!" Li Shunxi seemingly forgot Lusheng's earlier frenzy, arguing endlessly.

"Those harmful to me are ghosts." Lusheng casually replied. "Fortunate not being possessed yourself." He gloomily told Li Shunxi.

Li Shunxi shuddered, wanting to say more but unable to vocalize any further.

"Let's go." Lusheng walked towards the cellar in the backyard with coat on.

"Boss, your saber." Duan Meng'an quickly passed it over also picking up that guard's one earlier.

Lusheng accepted it, striding towards the kitchen.

Approaching the kitchen, the group directly headed downstairs through the earlier path.

Lusheng ripped the cellar open, indeed discovering several collapsed figures of Ning San and the other two guards plus the two young ladies inside.

"Cannot linger. Leaving immediately." Lusheng calmly stated. "See if they can be awoken."

"Brother Lu, you knew a lurking corpse was beside me earlier?" Li Shunxi now had the chance to ask.

"Mm, sensed something off but couldn't pinpoint who so tried separating. Sure enough, revealed itself soon after." Lusheng simply explained.

Ever since rescuing the Gong sisters, he felt something suspicious as if something wrong somewhere.

"A corpse possessing such intellect to stealthily lurk..." Li Shunxi shuddered, knowing he unknowingly stayed so intimately close to a corpse for so long, feeling creeped out.

"What about Gong Ruyue?" Li Shunxi felt chaotic.

"Maybe dead or missing. Unclear." Lusheng calmly said. "Their lives and deaths unrelated to me. Just investigating a case."

"How...so cold-blooded?!" Li Shunxi indignantly asked.

"Cold-blooded? Unrelated people, what cold-blooded?" Lusheng bewilderingly replied.

Li Shunxi was instantly rendered speechless, completely unable to retort.

He and Duan Meng'an pulled the cellar people up, vigorously slapping them awake. Lusheng merely watched at the side without helping.

Everyone sobered up.

"I was just resting in my room earlier. How am I suddenly here?"

"What's going on? How did we get here?"

"Where's Qingqing and Mengying?"

The roused young ladies and guards instantly noisy and panicking in bewilderment.

"Best leave first." Li Shunxi suggested.

"Mister Li, have you seen Qingqing and Mengying?" A young lady asked Li Shunxi.

Li Shunxi didn't dare meet their eyes lowering his head. "Let's talk after leaving first." He softly said.

Yet Lusheng simply glanced at everyone before looking at Ning San.

"Young Master!" Ning San ran over, head lowered before Lusheng.

"Good to not die. Go. Out first." Lusheng calmly stated.

Ning San ashamedly nodded.

"Wait! What about our young misses?! Must be you guys!" A guard blocked Lusheng with an enraged expression. "Right! We woke up here so must be these two's tricks!" Another guard also yelled at Li Shunxi. "Mister Li, capture him!"

Lusheng peered at the two blocking the way before shifting to the awkward Li Shunxi.

"Leaving or not?" He casually asked.

Somehow despite so many people, Li Shunxi felt Lusheng only addressed him.

"Me leave? What about them?" He couldn't help asking.

"They originally belong here." Lusheng stated.

His words instantly shut everyone. Abruptly soundless as if thoroughly devoid of noise.

The guards and ladies all revealed a trace of eerie smiles.

Li Shunxi fiercely shuddered feeling an icy sensation madly rushing up his back. He bolted over to Lusheng's side in a few large strides.

Glancing back at those ladies and guards.

"Mister Li...must account for us...that person, that person harmed our misses..." That earlier speaking guard yelled with a corpse's distinctive iron-green complexion.

"Mister Li..."

The kitchen doors behind squeaked open with a twisting figure slowly entering.

"Mister Li, Qingqing hurts so much. Why leave poor Qingqing alone..."

Somehow the earlier bisected Gong Ruqing now stood at the entrance. Her body split from the waist with a thin red crack still remaining.

Li Shunxi instantly paled.

"Ah!!" Duan Meng'an frightenedly shoved away that guard still beside him. Likewise emanating thick rot.

Ning San was drenched in cold sweat. Just realizing he had slept amidst a pile of corpses for so long made him tremble all over.

"Let's go." Lusheng didn't even glance at the guards and ladies, striding towards the kitchen exit.
