War On Man
It's Hard To Kill Humans.

It's Hard To Kill Humans.

Tokito exited the bathroom and entered the lobby. Amelia and Lucas both stood before the dead bodies of the people who attacked them. It was a gruesome sight. Their limbs were sliced or torn apart, and the majority of them took fatal blows to the head and some to the stomach.

Pools of blood covered the floor of the lobby. Amelia looked to her left and noticed Tokito walking towards them. The blood that stained both his face and clothing caught her attention, so she said, "I thought I heard some commotion coming from the bathroom. Did someone attack you too?"

"Yes, there was a lady in there attacking me for no reason, so I ended up killing her. I think she was a contractor, though."

"Yea I think they are all contractors too." She looked at all the dead people on the ground, then pointed at them, saying, "See, they have digital watches on their wrists." Though it doesn't have agency branding like ours."

"I see. Still, did y'all need to make the scene this bloody?"

"How else were we supposed to kill them? It’s not easy to kill a bunch of humans and not end up with a scene like this." Amelia stated.

"She's right, but I digress; perhaps if our hearts were all located in one place, we wouldn't have to kill people the way we do." Lucas added as he stared at a man who was cut into pieces.

"What do you mean?" Amelia asked.

"I think things would be a lot less stressful if we just moved all the hearts to the main part of the body. That way, killing people would be a lot easier."

"That doesn't make any sense. There's a reason we were created this way. After all, our heart locations make it harder to kill us, and contractors are especially hard to kill." Amelia answered.

"At the end of the day, it doesn't matter. Once someone gets their hand on a lethal gun, it’s over, whether you have eight hearts or not." Tokito added.

"You're right, but it's not like you can just go into a gun store and buy one." Lucas protested.

Just then, a lady who was lying on the ground in front of a stone pillar sat up against the pillar. She coughed up a lot of blood. This caught their attention, and they focused on her. She spoke slowly, with blood running down the side of her mouth: "Unfortunately... I was unable to repay my debts; however, the Debt Maker was amused by your performance. He will now see you on the 7th floor if you’re interested." Then she coughed up more blood and died.

"Looks like we're going to the 7th floor." Lucas spoke casually as the three began to walk to the elevator.

"Let's not forget the objective. We want to know if he wants the Theatom or not. We're not here to fight." Amelia stated as they entered the elevator.

"What if the debt maker attacks us?" Tokiot asked as Amelia pressed the 7th-floor button on the elevator.

"Then we're going to fight," Amelia said. Then the elevator began to ascend to the 7th floor.
