New and aspiring author here. Hope y'all are doing aight. This will probably be just another Harry Potter fic that will be lumped in with the lot you've already seen. Does that mean I'm not gonna give it my all? Hell no.
The plot is a simple one. A kid blessed with abundant magic power and talent is accepted into the Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. With this successful enrollment, he'll finally learn how to harness his gift and make proper use of it, instead of turning every magic ever used into a dangerous AoE spell. Friends, enemies, and tons of adventure, it's basically if Harry Potter was a fantasy based slice of life.
Now to explain the bare essentials.
The point in the timeline? During the Marauders era, more specifically when Lily, James, Sirius, Remus, etc were first enrolled. I didn't want to follow anything to close to canon as I don't trust myself to not fall into already used tropes and repeat events. This way I can write freely suing what little canon info is readily available.
Harem? Probably not since it doesn't really make too much sense for the Harry Potter franchise. If I DO change my mind for whatever reason, It'll be kept to 3 girls at a maximum. Anything beyond that pretty much breaks every ounce of realism and makes for a crappy novel as the extra girls just become side pieces with no character or development.
Main girl? Probably Lily Evans (Harry's mother). She kinda a baddy, at least based off of the fanart of her.
That's pretty much all you need to know. If you have anything else you'd like to know them comment down below or join my discord.
/You can see this as a sort of teaser. It's meant to show you my general writing style and wet your appetite, making you want more.
This will definitely be my shortest chapter by far, it being only around 1k words when I actually plan on writing 3k per chapter. Pay it no mind as it's just the Prologue and it'll be the only times it happens.
Enjoy the read and I'll have the next chapter out as soon as possible.
Also, I see a few of you complaining about having Lily as my main and voting for Bellatrix (who is around 20yrs old during the start of this story according to my math). This isn't really an issue but it definitely would be breaking realism to try to go for her. I have someone else planned aside from Lily but you'll have to read to find out.

It all started with a dream.
Rheveus wasn't a stranger by any means when it came to bizarre and questionable sleep fantasies, but this one was much different. It FELT real, down to the last detail.
In the beginning, there were four animals, each of them as majestic as they were enormous, enough to make anyone lose their very breath. Stretched out in a field of swaying brown vegetation, none of them seemed in a particular hurry to move, relaxing peacefully as the warm sun glanced off their skins. A giant white snake the length of a football field, a green diamond resting on its forehead, a sprawled out bright red lion the size of a house lying close to it's side, it's yellowish mane ruffling in the summer breeze. On the other side of the creatures, an overly large eagle with brilliant blue plumage sat perched, calmly grooming itself, plucking through the wings on its feathers. Lying comfortably next to the winged animal was a golden badger, curled up into a ball and snoozing it's days away, perfectly content to remain where it was.
None of the four beasts appeared to possess a singularly violent bone in their body, or at the very least held little to no animosity towards each other. Each one just minded their own business, soaking in the rays shining down from above them.
However, that didn't last for very long.
Out of nowhere, thunder rumbled across the clear blue sky, causing Rheveus to flinch slightly despite not possessing any corporeal form. The scene shifted and changed as clouds began to gather from every direction, thick storm clouds so black, it was as if night had fallen. What had once been a calm day was now a a borderline hurricane as the winds ripped through the area and rain began to pour in unrelenting waves.
The other animals didn't seem to mind the sudden change in weather, unmoving from there positions, like they intended to weather through it, to accept the darkness and wait for it to pass.
The snake coiled itself tighter. The eagle closed it's wings and shook its head. The badger rolled into it's side, trying to find a good position to lay in.
The only one who seemed to mind was the lion.
Annoyed by the sudden appearance of the storm, the lion slowly awoke from it's slumber, rising up onto it's feet. It's luscious mane matted to it's body and fury in it's eyes, it glared up at the dark blanket coating the warm sun, claws extended. Without a second thought, it let out an ear shattering roar, one that shook the very ground Rheveus was standing on. He could feel the power emanating from it down to his very core and he half expected the clouds themselves to part in response.
The serpent wasn't a big fan of the roar and let out an annoyed hiss, raising its head from off the ground and into the air, tongue flicking out and fangs slightly bared. It's black eyes fixed on the lion, far more ticked than angry.
Almost the moment the snake showed it's fang, the lion attacked, batting towards the serpent's head with a oversized paw. The white snake avoided it and spat some acid back into the lions eyes as a warning to it, an attempt to get the lion to fully back down.
It was futile. The red beast had already made up it's mind as it roared in pain and anger, it's eyes struggling to remain open.
The Eagle and the Badger watched as the two beautiful creatures began to brawl, neither one of them interfering in the new dispute. The lion spewed waves of fire and roared its heart out, the serpent spitting acid and hissing defiantly, unwilling to submit a single inch. Still the others merely observed for some time, Rheveus watching with them for what felt like an eternity.
Somewhere along the line, the Badger jumped into the squabble, siding with the lion as it struggled to put down the serpent.
With the added addition of the golden beast, the albino snake began to lose ground and it looked as if it's opponents would finally be able kill the retreating serpent. Refusing to go quietly, the white beast fought as hard as it could, striking and dodging wherever it could, but it still wasn't enough to change it's fate as one of the lions paws pinned the snake to the ground. Writhing about, the serpent struggled as the red beast open it's mouth to deliver a killing blow, prepared to fully end the battle altogether.
"SKREEEEEE"
The blue eagle let out a cry as a sudden whirlwind blasted the lion back, a gust produced by the flapping of the winged creature. Landing beside the wounded snake, the new arrival let out a deafening war cry to the other two animals, it's wings spread and talons on full display.
Opening it's mouth once more, it let out a war cry but this time sounded more like a raven than an eagle.
And then the dream ended.
