"Ahh, well after days of traveling and listening to stupid adventurers, I have arrived. Bask in my amazingness, Ethero academy", a tired Athena exclaimed.
Beside her, the horse snorted, at least someone acknowledged her rant. She looked back to check up on the man stuck with her for the last week. The equally exhausted driver finally managed to carry the two enormous suitcases to the gate of the academy.
"What this slip of a girl requires so much for?" he thought with an exasperated "Women" muttered.
With a bow, he conveyed his goodbyes to the young mistresses and set off. The young woman in question looked back at the gate, her exhausted mind took her back to how she ended up in this dump of a place, all because she could not keep her mouth shut.
It was three months ago, Athena and her father were out hunting an elusive deer. After hours of tracking, they managed to corner and kill their quarry. They sat near the waterfall so she could catch her breath. Still, in the bliss of a good hunt, she said, "Who could say no to a lifetime of this."
Her father looked confused, "What? I didn't get that. "
"Oh, what I meant to say was we will have an amazing journey, you and I. Hunting the darkest and vilest creatures, the legend of 'Athena'" she exclaimed standing up and striking a pose.
Her father was not impressed, thoughtful expression on his face they set back to their abode. Next week, Athena was in for a surprise, surprise put mildly. Her father summoned her to his study, thinking about how he would make her clean her room she walked, opened the door, and sat down.
Her father turned to look at her for 30 seconds, "Oh boy, what did I do, he did not find out about my pet frog did he. I knew it was trouble, but it looked so cute." she thought with a bead of sweat forming on her brow.

Her perceptive father amused by her inner turmoil chuckled," Relax dear, you are not in trouble" pausing he continued," I have decided that I am going to send you to school."
For a minute Athena was shocked, spluttering "School?".
The man raised his hand, stopping her tirade before it started, "Yes, school. You have spent too much time with me and have no exposure to society. We live in the middle of the woods, there are no children here for you to socialize. Also, I believe even though you are leaps and bounds beyond your peers. Even above a powerful human mage, you have to perfect your basics. I had neglected them in favor of skills. Other than magic, you will get an overview of topics like economics, leadership which I have no idea how to teach you. Importantly, I want you to learn how to be independent, I do not want you to be dependent on me."
Athena muttered in a small voice, "But I don't want to go to a school, I want to stay with you."
Her father smiled and picked her up, "Oh child, I know it will be tough, but how will you succeed in life if you don't know strife. My parental instincts will prevent me from placing you in a situation that will cause you discomfort. But you need to grow, and this is the right choice.", he looked at her and continued, "But, if you don't want to stay there after two years, you can come back. How about that?".
With that conversation, after two months, she set out to the prestigious Ethero academy in the kingdom of Alisade for magical education among the finest students in the world.
She looked over to a spoiled girl, crying because her dress was torn at the seams. "Finest, my ass," she thought and stepped in.
Around students were dropped off in fancy carriages with ruby studded doors to some walking with torn bags. Most of the student's aura was purple she couldn't say if many of them were just masking their auras to not reveal their strength.
But she believed that most of them had not gone past purple. She shook her head and pulled her green aura in until it was purple while walking ahead.
With a poised walk and a smirk towards the main office, she thought, "Ethero academy, get ready for Athena."
